Just as a precaution, anyone with a shellfish allergy can react to crickets, so please be careful having people eat them blind. Always ask if they have a shellfish allergy beforehand. Edit- Since so many are asking why; shellfish and insects share proteins that cause allergic reactions. If you have a shellfish allergy, avoid all insects, not just crickets.

I don't think I knew that otters lived in lakes!!! Rivers otters and sea otters yes, but... man. My thought would be to release multiple animals at the same time so that they aren't singled out like that if at all possible... Is that common practice or are my instincts just bad? lol

@pyrpyr5Wolf Год назад
@@samthepancake69 river otters live in any fresh water they don't care if it's a creek, river or lake they also spend quite a lot of time on land during certain times of year(so many calls to the wildlife sanctuary was about otters on land and hardly any turned out to need help). As for releasing, some animals tend to be released in groups but that's not always possible and predators can still pick off ducklings even right beside the mum. I've seen mink do that more than once.

I found it weird to begin with that poor Biscuit was just released into the water so far away from the prospective new family. Every duck rescue I've seen so far has shown that the duck has to be basically dropped in between the others so the mom won't notice it wasn't hers and reject it, with prejudice. Biscuit WAS going in at the same time the other ducklings were, but from a different angle, so I wonder if the mother would have accepted them if they had reached the family anyways. I don't watch too many channels dealing with ducks though so idk if this is normal especially with what happened 😅 The circle of life stops for no one.

Yes, please, another Shenanigans! I read the comments and found out about Biscuit's untimely demise and thought to myself, "that's really sad, but it makes sense. Babies are delicate and ducklings are a nutritious meal for predators". What actually happened was astonishing! A great example of how stealthy predators can be!

I've said this on other videos, but thank you for taking good care of Cheyenne and not allowing her to try the choco covered crickets. The vacuum sealer is good too for folks who need a bunch of reptilinks in various sizes. Rather than buying a 10 pack of large, a 10 pack of skinny, a 10 pack of quail, etc, you can buy some of each.
@jvseventeen
@jvseventeen Год назад
Yea I was thinking it would be good for people with a new critter that maybe they haven't figured out what they like yet. You could try one of each option for your particular pet and see what they prefer, rather than having to commit to a whole 10 pack of something the pet may not even be willing to eat.
@katherynedarrah4245
@katherynedarrah4245 Год назад
@@jvseventeen OMG this! I just got a black and white tegu (an adoption from a less than stellar home). The one thing stopping me from trying reptilinks with her is that there's no option for a variety. It's one kind per packet sort of thing, which I get, but from what I've been told, she's incredibly picky and what she will eat changes based on her mood/the day. So a variety of flavors would be better for me.
@dagmar0904
@dagmar0904 Год назад
@@katherynedarrah4245 I know that they don't have them on their website, but you can still try to reach out to them and just ask if it's possible to get a pack with one or two of each! Maybe it's possible, I mean I'm pretty sure they want more customers and if your picky tegu likes them, good for them
@katherynedarrah4245
@katherynedarrah4245 Год назад
@@dagmar0904 Generally companies like this don't do that, merely for shipping reasons. i.e. they have a bunch of them pre-made, packaged, and frozen at a distribution site, they can't break them up. Generally there's also no way to make such an order in their systems either.

I am loving these, always have, always will. I do want to make sure commenters know SHELLFISH ALLERGIES ARE OFTEN ALSO INSECT ALLERGIES!!! As cool and tasty as the chocolate-covered-crickets look, if you're allergic to shellfish, you are extremely likely to have a reaction to crickets!

Just another reminder that when releasing animals back into the wild please make sure they have a safe covered area they can easily reach. Just saw a video of someone releasing a mouse they humanely caught indoors but released with with a whole empty parking lot of space before a grassy area. Also dawn and dusk are prime feeding times for some aquatic species.

Imagine a straw made of clay. Then stand it upright, with the hollow part vertical. Then squish it flat, without closing the hole. What remains is a disc with one hole, topologically the same as the straw.

If you can plug one hole and you can still put something in or take something out the other end, it's because there are 2 holes.

Okay, so how many holes a sleeve have? One or two? Isn't the sleeve one hole that o tuck your arm and another hole for the other arm and one for the neck. With that logic a straw is like a sleeve one long hole.
