Thanks for exploring Welcker's Point Campground. I have two questions: From your video it appears that the shoreline around Welcker's is rocky /smooth stone. Is that correct? And my second question is, do you know if you can launch a kayak or SUP from Welcker's? I know there is a launch area near Tennison Bay, but I was just curious. Thanks for your channel! It is such a great resource!
This is a great park and the tower is incredible. Even if you don’t need the accessibility of the ramp, it’s still enhances the experience for all when using it. I have yet to camp there, but I crave one of those coveted spots as well, and use the notification system when I have an open weekend in hopes one frees up. One day!
@@SconnyWandering The notification system is great as long as you’re not too picky on which site you want and have the ability to act quickly when you receive the email that opening is available. People are always canceling. I had plenty of opportunities to get a site this weekend at both Peninsula and Pointe Beach, but chose to not act on them due to too much chance of rain.
