That's what pisses me off the most. New stadiums every 20 years, but fuck what the citizens actually need. I know the reason there will never be public transportation here. City Hall doesn't want to open the door between Dallas and Ft. Worth. They're too afraid of the crime that will surely come with connecting two Ganglands.
Keizzth, Arlington is a great city to live in no matter what some of the idiots on here say. I think as a designer you will love it here. Great place to raise a family and there is lots to do for the younger crowd, plus your right in the middle of the metroplex... Of course like any big city you have crime and gangs. Arlington is no exception to that, but we do have one of the lowest crime rates in the metroplex, with a great police presence. You will feel pretty safe here for the most part. It's a pretty quite city, at least in my part of town. And this is coming from a guy who was a bit of a bad boy in his haydays... As for the logo, my feelings are pretty strong on that... But good luck with your career here and welcome to Arlington.
I have always loved Arlington since I was a child. Everything in this video is accurate. I wish I never left in the late 90s. Great job to the COA on this video. Being in media communications, I am very impressed with the production quality. The look of it is fantastic, and it is very well edited. I assume some DSLRs were used? I am envious! :)
My grand parents and great grandparents lived in Arlington. Now it's me and my parents that live in Arlington. Hope that I'll live here for a long time!
As a resident of Arlington for 37 yrs and having family members dating back to the 60's, I have to be honest, I hate the new logo. The original logo is iconic and makes me feel like I'm home when I see the blue and red A with the star in the middle. When you think of Dallas you picture the D with a leaf in it.. Fort Worth you think of the long horn. Arlington you think of the Big A with the star... I'm not happy about the change of the logo. And if i knew it was up for change, i would of signed a petition to keep the original. The new logo SUCKS!!!

Hi Star Belly ! I live in Italy and I've been in Arlington 5 or 6 times.. Whatever place in the world have problems and you probably are used to live there so for you every thing are bad. Trust of me that I saw the difference between these two country.... We in Italy have more and more problems than you. Believe me! In addition to what you said for Arlington (the same in Italy..) almost 50% of young people don't have a job and smart people emigrate abroad! And guess where? Most in the US! ;)
I was born and raised in Arlington. I lived there for 25 years. I live in Dallas now. Every time I go to Arlington it makes me sad. It used to be such a humble and happy place growing up. It looks awful. I'd never live there again! Just seeing it beaks my heart!
I have heard that Arlington, Texas is a great place to live. My family and I are deciding to move there in a few weeks and are really wondering if its hard to find work and getting into an apartment fast without waiting for awhile. We want to start over from our lives as it has been harsh for us. Does anyone know how things work, to get started there? Any helpful information would be much appreciated. Thank you!!!

I was just asking a question. You don't need my forgiveness.... Also, you missed my point to begin with. My point was that I liked Arlington. But the video doesn't really seem like it would attract many people.
LOL, a city where allowed apartments to go up on every corner. So you get the crime and drugs that come with it. If you look at which cities in DFW have the lowest crime, its the cities with the least apartments. Ask any police agency where the crime is.
This is a dream city if you are an illegal immigrant , gang banger ,welfare recipient etc... Check the crime statistics. The crime rate has skyrocketed in the last 10 years in the city of Arlington. The city is now gang infested. There are calls for shots fired all the time. I have heard gunfire from my once peaceful & safe neighborhood several times. The mayor says he's a Republican but his policies are progressive/liberal. He tried to get illegal immigrants bussed in & housed here in order to gain favoritism from the latino community obviously I assume. The once stellar police department now makes illegal stops on citizens of which I have been a victim of. They are entirely unprofessional with the exception of a handful of officers. Burglaries are frequent. Bank robberies , assaults , homicides , kidnapping , atm theft which were all non existent just a few years ago are now commonplace. Plenty of drugs here also. The city council is a joke. They have a strong disdain for white males. Typical of far left progressivism. The university has a few hard core la rasa professors who preach socialist/Marxist ideology that calls for a take over of white society from a flood of illegal immigration from Mexico & central America. Don't believe me then google some of the (Jose Angel Gutierrez) videos of their professors. Do you want your children indoctrinated by racist academia? Do your homework and get the facts bout this once great city. Don't take politicians/radicals/council members word for it. Don't make your mind up by watching a propaganda video alone. My only motive for pointing out these facts is to effect a change for the better. Citizen awareness is the only way. Research the facts.
