@@willliamnash4855 What does my age matter? It doesnt change how sh*thole of a place Wycombe is. And I was born and raise in this sh*thole, so I'm allowed to chat sh*t
I was born in High Wycombe I have alot of Good Memories growing up in this Great small town, Like the Rye they would have fun fair and Event their. Sadly I dont live in Wycombe anymore. Luv too come bk someday and visit.
Was born here in 1970, emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1975. My ancestry is here and relatives still live here. Don't know High Wycombe I only hear about the past from my parents.
I lived a few miles away from here never went here cos i found it boring but its got its hi 's and lo 's dont know why i thaught of high wycombe just poped in my head to search
Lot of important stuff has happened in Wycombe over the years, read up on it before you knock the place. The pepper pot as you refer to it is the Corn market. I have never heard of pepper pot maybe that is just a newish name for it. I was born just outside Wycombe and I am proud of the history, I live overseas now.
The Corn Exchange . The council archives are directly below and are designed to withstand a nuclear attack . Source : a curator of the Furniture Museum .
If culture is what you crave HW may not be the place for you. Some great towns and villages around it, but HW is unlikely to ever win an award for culture.
I personally think wycombes a nice town but there is not a lot to do but so many people roasting my town, kinda hurts my feelings ya know? When you live in a town for so long you grow a relationship. No matter how *shit* it is.
I stayed 15 days in this beautiful city at the hotel "Queen Elizabeth" good memory .. I have a photo of an old couple with their dog // I could not send them this photo because I don't have their address
I was born here now I live in the middle of nowhere where the nearest shop is 15 miles away in Scotland yes I know that at night people are beginning and beating you up but it's fine in the day
In high Wycombe in doesn't hurt to breath In High Wycombe you can go anywhere from your house with our a car in people only hate the homeless people and and Ass's at night
The local council seem to be a lettuce leaf short of a sandwich. Over 10 years on one complaint and nothing done I took it a step further and it worked for 3 or 4 weeks, My next step is to take them to task on discrimination. No-one want to pay for a service they do not receive, I told them about fraud many times over the years, ,
What I don't understand is Buckinghamshire is regularly spoken of as being one of the more prosperous shires. Yet there seems an unglamourous, chain store, nature to Buckinghamshire. Obviously Milton Keynes was designed to be different from old England and maybe you don't truly have an identifiable sense of yourself. But does the proximity to London make many of the 'Home Counties' more the 'Groan Counties' of complainers , whether fair or not, about identity crisis pseudo bumpkins?
Ah high wycombe. Where I was once brutally beaten by 6 or 7 black guys with a hammer for being white opposite the train station whilst walking home after a night out and minding my own business. What a town!!
Fredo Santana well I've got a scar across my nose and two witnesses. I can assure you sir, it did happen. Not sure why you don't believe that's possible.
Can't have been a racially motivated attack. According to the BBC only white British people can perpetrate those, and I believe everything I'm told by the media. It must have been an 'unknown reason'.
Load of rubbish as usual about the Wycombe being a shithole... I heard the same about Liverpool, Birmingham...etc. I've only ever had bad experiences in "rich" towns and cities.
I have just been there a couple of days ago but it didn't look good and many foreigners are living there. West Wycombe village is far better and a proper English village
