Mr.Williams, I will be opening a Independant living home and want to prepare my home for the possibility of a bedbug infestation. Currently, I have not been bitten or have seen any of these critters. Can you please tell me what to do first before I rent out any of my new beds and how often should I perform maintenance to keep my home free of these bugs? I have sleigh beds that are flat on the ground, no legs to insert into the bowls to trap any bugs. What would how to use the 2-liter bottles and where should I put them. Lastly, the mattress and box set come with the plastic directly on the set. Can I use use that plastic and keep it on the beds always? I hope my questions don't sound silly, I just want to protect the home before a break out occurs if someone brings the bed bugs in. Your thoughts. Pamela.
+Pamela Jefferson . Hello Ms. Jefferson. There is no need to build the traps if you don't have bedbugs yet. However, I would seriously consider investing in some Cimexa powdered desiccant. Sprinkle a light coating on the box spring portions of your mattresses just to be safe. If left undisturbed the powder will remain deadly against bedbugs for up to 10 years! Also, look into buying some Bedbug Dots. They are small cardboard discs that you can stick to the beds and other furniture, walls, and etc. These will let you know at a glance whether bedbugs are around. Early detection could save you thousands of dollars versus the low cost of the dots. you can find them here: bedbugdot.com/bed-bug-faq
+Joel Z Williams. Mr. Williams I want to thank you so much for caring about people enough to put so much time and effort into the many videos you've made to help us out. It is so very true that unless someone experiences this nightmare first hand, they can never, ever, EVER fully understand what it does to a person! I found out a few weeks ago that I have these terrible bugs. I have been watching your videos ever since to figure out what I could do; but not having two dimes to rub together, more I watched videos and read horror stories, the more paralyzed with fear and anxiety I became and I couldn't even take the first step! I'm sorry for such a long message but I've had so much bottled up inside. I called every relative I could to beg them to take my children and no one would! I offered to go to a hotel, shower them, and put brand new clothes on them before I brought them...still no one would take them. I finally have been able to get a loan from my in-laws to have an exterminator come out and start treatments next week. I know that you had your problem finally solved this way and I want to know if you ever had the problem come back after professional treatment. Also, did you do anything after treatment? Did you keep using Cimexa or putting down traps? Thank you again for all that you are, all that you've done, and all that you continue to do. May God continue to richly bless you brother.
Logginz Lyfe . Glad to hear that! I was just thinking about you 2 the other day. Specifically about how your neighbor's bedbug problem probably "walked" right over to ur place.
