Regarding compost if you collect fallen leaves in the autumn and half fill normal black bin bags, wet the leaves and seal you’ll get lovely rich compost the following summer.
@@Arransvegpatch I’m no gardening expert I only learned that by clearing a load of leaves up and forgetting to dispose of the bags over the winter. Nice bonus when I moved the bags the following summer. Nice black earth/mulch did my beds a power of good.
