Thank you for all the help. Here is my question. I play in a rock/blues Trio. I decided to add slide to my repertoire, but concluded I should learn slide in standard tuning because I wouldn’t have to switch guitars all the time. I’m finding it really hard. Was that a mistake? Should I start with an open tuning first. thanks again.

Great question! It really comes down to how much you want to have certain sounds be forefront in your playing. For example, if you’re really into Duane and Derek, I’d suggest Open E tuning as a lot of that sort of vocabulary really has a lot to do with the tuning… If you’re really needing to play a bunch of chords, and then play single note, line solos standard tuning is probably the best way to go to start, I do teach private lessons and I’m happy to help work on any of this with you if you’d like! Thank you Pedro! I play 12- 52’s and on this guitar have it strung up a lil higher than normal action but not much! Really appreciate the kind feedback

Ugg again ! Can we get straight on camera angle when demonstrating. It’s pretty hard to differentiate where you are when at that head stock angle. A great player and teacher with terrible camera placement :(
