Precisely what I envision. We are so obsessed with technology that we will one day choose to merge with it because of the virtually unlimited potential and the many advantages. The two main ones being: extending existence beyond the handful of years we will see while in this human form and the vast knowledge we can absorb and have at our command.

how nice it might seem to live longer through machines, we as the common man gotta remember that someone, or rather some company, is in charge of the machines that would keep us powered. We already see what corporations do nowadays even WITH regulations, let alone when they get to play with people's literal brain imprint.

I'm in i.t fundamentals training and all I can say I wow.. the things I'm learning about the history of computers and how it constantly learns and grows is blowing my mind. I wish everyone could take this course

It is great that 100% of human knowledge could be passed on by uploading one´s conciousness to improve future humans and machines, but humans would still die, it would be just a copy of ourselves that would remain in existence. I instead envision a future where we would be able to both upload our knowledge and stay alive for ever if we wanted.

It's interesting how the world works with the western linear conception, it will be interesting when there is a dichotomy between dying naturally or continuing consciousness with NEX, whether humans will be fed up with all the abilities to be able to get everything, or hope to be able to feel tired, tired, and bored as humans enjoyed in the past.

It is really great to see such things which we can just imagine, I really want to see this future myself but I don't know how long will it be. Thank you for this cool video about Human machine synthesis.

One thing worth pondering is.. what makes human .. if we don’t have the experience of having been born... having parents, siblings.. having had an experience of growing.. loss, gain, pain, physical pleasure whatever defines us as humans now.. will this be lost when we exist in digital form? It’s hard to tell if a digital form is capable of LOVE .. what is LOVE? is this a biological human attribute? Can LOVE exist genuinly in a digital space.. or is it just simulated. I suspect that whatever we become in a digital form.. is not US anymore.. but something ELSE entirely, and i’m not just referring to the exponential new capabilities and attributes we gain by crossing into the digital domain, but everything else that makes us human we may leave behind. Also.. assuming all biological life converts to digital domain.. how are we going to be born? have siblings? parents?

I find it curious how easy and frequently people forget the huge (and growing) inequality gap. If there's going to be a rosy future, it seems it's going to be for the very few. How come common people expects to have a part of that pie? Denial?

Reminds me of the part in the bible...where it said that the world would be such a miserable place, that people will long for death...but be unable to die.

I wonder how a digital me would be able to be me? Taking away all of this that I am made of is ending that which I am. Even if there is sort of a duplicate of me in the digital world that me isn't me. Eternity is only a dream.

Everything is made of the same stuff - the consciousness; that's the main reason of evolution; and therefore, no doubt, one day everything will merge in that same stuff.

Interesting to think about. If we're all uploaded to a grid, we just need to hope no big EMP comes by and wipes our servers out, or we'd figure out how to safeguard against that. We'd have to either figure out how to move everything off-world, or figure out how to move the earth away from the sun so it doesn't engulf it when the sun gets to that point in its end. As long as things continue to progress, we'll figure it out by then.

At the time of this transition/merger with technology, I can imagine a faction of resistance in the population . Historically humans have adapted technology to serve ? Just a thought

How is that working out for you.

The only drawback that I can concieve is that a human mind and/or body lives in it's own time...Then after too long of a time the mind will become too far from it's creation naturally. It will not want to continue on after a period of time...

Uh don't you think brain implant chips will be the first step? Uploading an entire consciousness into a computer still sounds more of a challenge ethically/technologically than it would just to integrate AI chips into our brain.

You should take down your Interstellar Time Dilation video. It’s primitively made compared to your new stuff, the math is wrong in your time reference of 5sec on Millers Planet compared to Earth, and because well if your subtle desire is to educate or inform the minds of others it’s educationally irresponsible to leave past inferior content online for people to stumble upon

without a body, you can do nothing in the real world. Such as make a machine. Or paint an actual painting that can be hung on the wall for others to see. I didnt say make a picture. I said paint a picture. For painting, you have to have an actual body to wield a paint brush and work with paints and canvas. I couldn't live without the ability to interact with my body in the world. To me, going from having a body to not having one would be real limiting, and I would feel trapped inside a box.
