Met you through Roots & Refuge and so glad I did. My family has deep family farming roots in Tennessee. I was raised in the California Central Valley surrounded by citrus groves, fruit orchards, grapes, cotton, cattle, the smell of old farm houses and the meals that came out of those kitchens despite the heat of summer. We always kept a garden and canned or pickled our veges. As a kid, life was lived outdoors and Yosemite rivers and swimming holes were our backyard pools. I lived in North GA for 10 years and loved the Spring Dogwoods and Fall colors. My BIL is from NC and he brought home a few deer each Fall from his Daddy's peanut/tobacco farm still in the family today. I totally relate to your life and look forward to watching your videos. I was an early homesteader. Started back in 1970 when I married into the country life. I homeschooled my children and all of them were active in 4-H and FFA. They were taught canning preserving ,dehydrating ,baking and gardening

You guys are about an hour from us. I came over here from Living Traditions homestead. We love this life style and are very new to it. We moved here to Arkansas about a year and a half ago from the same area as Kevin and Sarah! I watch them as often as I can and am so happy they are getting one of your cows. HOPE is her name and I know they will be so happy when she gets there! We are into growing our own veggies and fruits and have a great start on this wonderful adventure. I’m new to your Chanel I live in Massachusetts and I follow a couple other Farm Chanel’s as I am so fascinated by Dairy Farms and all the aromas that go with it from Fresh cut Hay to cow manure On your video about your Hay Bales I was just curious if the bales start to grow moldy being stored outside, I know you said you use net wrap but was curious if you have ever considered wrapping the bales in the White plastic wrap to protect them from getting moldy and they will ferment at the same time That way when you store them outside they seem to be better But anyways I love your videos and please consider me as another follower of your channel😊

Awww, I love you guys. Sister I get the biggest kick out of you.I was watching you in the sourdough bread before I watched this one this morning and you are just a tornado in the kitchen, the cheesecake ( last week I saw that one) I thought to myself she just dumped it in and it came out prefect.....jezz that would have never happened if I did that......I'm going to give it a try though. I hope this comes out half as good. I love that you bring us along on your journey, I will never be a homesteader never in the right place or person at the right time. That being said I grow veg. and make my own breads and cheeses. I like to think I am a good cook ( no ones fell over yet ). And I get pissed when I read ingredient labels cause I know we don't need that crap we have to eat, it's just there. I am not able to change a whole lot but I can change a few things and I appreciate what you all bring to my table because I am always able to have a discussion about food health and animals...lol, last week was the cow and magnet, I kept everyone informed on the happens of her. I hope ok haven't seen the out come. I am around thousands of milk and meat cows here in N FL. Just a huge thanks to yourselves and your family from a wanna be homesteader. Hey ya'll! I'm a new subscriber. Your channel was recommended bc I watch Walker Farm Fam. The first video I watched was the pig you lost bc she had gotten too stressed. (I'm sorry for your loss.) Then I watched your welcome video and your random facts video. I love watching videos about (but not limited to) homesteading/ farming. Just to learn bc I would love to do it on a small scale. But I have several issues/ problems/hurdles that keeps it from becoming reality (at least at this time). Although it's still a dream bc you never know what God has planned. Just subbed, saw you guys in the Living Tradtions channel when they were talking to y'all about the cows and what not.
