The best live rendition is Cold Chisel when the war is over live Ringside 2003. Ringside is Cold Chisels reunion concert so it is a proper live performance and is far superior to this one.
Welcome to great Aussie pub music and Cold Chisel and Jimmy Barnes music lives on forever that you can listen to over and over....yes Jimmy Barnes is a LEGEND... much love from Perth Western Australia ❤❤
Cold Chisel - Bow River (2003) m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KwZJGJu7vJY.html This specific live performance is the best, and in 4K. You will also hear a harmonica play, like you have never heard before in your life.

You need to look at their cover of wild thing live performance last stand version Its when they where young jimmy singing and you'll get to see how good ian moss on guitar 🎸 is several solo See if you can work out what he's doing with guitar 🎸 Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
Jimmy is great. He does a great job of this. He is one of the best that Australia has to offer. Now I'd love you to go and check out John Farnham's cover of this song 'When The War Is Over' from Whispering Jack in concert. It is mind blowing!!!! It's the same song, but given the unique Farnsey spin to it.
I agree with those below, this is a mashup of different videos...just dive in and search for more, one of my fav songs of there's is 'My baby' for sentimental reasons. Jimmy Barnes is from my home town and cold chisel played at my high school when I was 14...in 1976! Flame Trees is another classic but they have so many.
If you like this you will love "Working Class Man" by Jimmy Barnes (Cold Chisel lead vocal) OR Ian Moss (guitarist) - Tucker's Daughter has a great solo in it. Eventually you will get to Jimmy Barnes - Stone Cold feat Joe Bonamassa on guitar. It always blows my mind.
As good as this version is, there are many better! 2003 ringside is considered the best. But nonetheless, you stumbled upon one of the best bands ever!
The video is a tad weird. The first part is from their song, Choir Girl. Jimmy Barnes, aka Barnsey, sings that song as lead (and looks mighty fine if you ask me). However in this tune, the lead singer is the guitarist Ian Moss aka Mossy. And he is a brilliant guitarist too. He provides the blues, and Jimmy the soul and rock. The fight scene is from their song, Star Hotel, based on a true story about the closure of a hotel, and fight between the public and police. Jimmy comes in at 6.17 with high back up vocals. Jimmy then sings from 6.37 ❤🔥 Then both he and Ian sing at 7.40 Other members of the band include Phil Small on Base, Don Walker on Keys and Steve Prestwich RIP on drums. Their history? Well they formed in 1973, first album was in 1978. They are known as a pub rock band. Australian bands had to be successful playing live to make it. The bands worked hard, travelled a lot to gigs. It was not an easy life. They had numerous number 1 albums and disbanded in 1983, even releasing another album after that in 1984 which did brilliantly. Jimmy went solo and has continued to have a great career. Ian has had some solo success as well. Steve had a stint in the Little River Band and passed of brain cancer on 16th January 2011. Whilst all band members had hit songs, Don Walker has had so much success writing songs. He wrote Stone Cold for Jimmy Barnes as well. I would check out the 2003 Ringside concert Bow River (also sung mostly by the guitarist Mossy) and this song again at the same venue. Despite the band disbanding, they have reformed to complete more albums and concerts since then. They are celebrating 50 years of music. I have tickets to see them in October 2024. Massive fan. I can't wait. #Jimmyismynumber1 artist. Check out anything from his 1984 inaugural concert from the Playroom. The full concert is on a page by Casey Cooper. There are individual videos too, including those on Dr_Kap YT channel. Enjoy!
