My God this was golden! I'm a helper / soon to be Apprentice at a HVAC company that does all types of trade work. I purchased a B Tank rig started brazing with Air / Acetylene and just purchased a flux core welding machine to practice before I get into school. This was amazing, heading to your next videos! Thanks 👌🏼

Dude, why aren't you RU-vid famous yet? Seriously, your videos are produced with absolute professionalism (I LOVED the intro), they are entertaining, and just full of knowledge. This is why I subscribed over half a year ago! Another question is what do you do for a living? You know, besides your....whatever you rancher guys do. It seems to be supporting you handsomely!

Flipping heck! Why didn’t I find this video when I first took up the hobby? Some of the names might be slightly different in the U.K., but I think most suppliers are used to the American names as so many of us have learnt from RU-vid. Absolutely fantastic, thank you.

How much I smiled through this video, u won’t believe. I have been looking for a beginner training course on metal fabrication just like this, that explains All the basics for me. Thank you so much for posting this video! I’m doing some mods on my motorcycle and suddenly got the urge to do the welding n cutting for my design - by myself too. So now I’m painting and soon fabricating my own basic Bike mod parts. Super excited to learn. Thank U again. Johny

Hey TheProRancher, I know this video was done a long time ago but it really helped out... A LOT. Thanks for making this people like me which want to learn and are eager learn new things every single day. The only thing I would suggest is, talk a little bit slower. But otherwise, what an awesome simple video this is. If you can do another Part 1 Re-Do of this vid and add more tools and higher quality and better mic volume I would watch it again and share it to help out with LIKES and Subscribes. Keep em coming, I love learning. Have a good one!!!

I was looking for scrap metal on the buy and sells but didn’t find any and I was kind of worried of not being able to tell what kind of metal it is lol don’t really understand it yet but where can I find a couple of pipes and the flat plates? Just looking for something to practise on

Matt 1234 I'm still furious why you're being mean? Do you know how to weld and work with metal correctly? If you don't, you shouldn't have commented what you said, and if you wanna try to say I don't know anything about the works of metal, I do, I have taken a college class threw my High school for engineering principles and metals, and I will be taking my second year of both these advanced classes this year as well...... It still gets me tho, why so mean? You must be from a city.... U say this because here in Wyoming, peaple get to know each other before talking shit......

Thank you for making this basic metal types/shapes video; I do a lot of welding as a hobbie but I am not expert when it comes to the type of materials or shapes you can shoose from. The guys that work at the Metal Suply Companies do not know shit about what they are selling just the name you give them and the cost they will charge you, VERY FRUSTRATING! Thanks again. I will be a good Idea for your channel if you can bent some of these different thicknesses and shape materials to have a good idea how strong they are and where to apply them, you will get many fallowers and there is not one doing it on RU-vid, I alredy looked many times.

Hi sir, Can you make a video that explains the steps when your are putting new metal onto a very rusty surface. I am trying to fix work van. The bottom floor is rotted out so I am going to grind out a square then I need to weld a 2x2 piece of metal to the frame that is rusty and then put sheet petal onto that and weld it down to make a new floor for van.

Square tubing is rolled from round tubing. That's why the seam is in different locations usually. If it was folded then every length would have seam in the same location for welding. Some factories have it 2 in one process, so the seam in the batch will be in the same location. The story about cracked aluminum is just a bs made up out of boredom. Extrusion is just way more economical and higher quality product considering property of aluminum alloys. They do somewhat similar process for steel pipe and whatnot shapes called something like continuous casting. Bigger scaled factories.

@Rypaiz
@Rypaiz 3 года назад
Think of pipe as something that stuff runs through. And tube as something that stuff goes around. “My water PIPES broke!” You wouldn’t say “my water TUBES broke!” Pipe is measured by ID (inside diameter) Tube is measured by OD (outside diameter)
