I got and built a new welding table/bench. I figured I'd share the build with you. I went with a CertiFlat MiniBlock table, 2 by 4 feet (from weldtables dot com). It will replace my previous CertiFlat Pro Top table from the same company. It used to be called Tab and Slot, but now it's weldtables.
I also purchased a Fab Wing and a vice mount. Even though those accessories are listed for the full size Fab Blocks, they bolt up to the mini-block just fine and end up flush with the top. The only issue is that the shoulder bolts that are included to bolt them to the table are slightly too long to bolt tight because the Fab Block is available from 1/4" and thicker, while the Mini Block is 3/16". I got some 5/8" washers, but had to grind a flat spot on them to make them fit inside, under the top. Just something to be aware of if you are looking at these tables.
Any support is appreciated. Thanks!

Really happy for you. Treating oneself to a new significant tool is a big thing. It's like getting a new wig or a countertop to most people, but for me, tools are a real thing. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Do you know when you'll be doing a review on the Hone 140FC welder?

Hopefully soon. That should be the next project in the garage. Maybe not the next video, but the next garage project.

Just wondering why you didn’t go with the 1/4” top instead. I know a lot of guys are just interested in going with the cheapest version. But considering that these are just low carbon steel, that extra 33% of thickness does make a noticeable difference. Much less chance of bending the table when clamping down fairly had.

Price was one consideration, but also weight. Fab blocks (1/4" thick) are a lot heavier than the Mini Blocks due to the increased thickness and the fact that they are 6" instead of 4". I've used my previous table pretty hard, and the new one has more internal supports, so it should be more rigid, even though it's the same thickness. I considered getting a 1/4" (or even 3/8") Fab Block, but I just didn't see the need for my use.

How flat is your table? I built one of these about a year ago, from weldtables, and it is not very flat. The top had a good 1" bow in it as received, whico other than really poor quality wasn't an issue given the assembly proceedure. Howev, the stringers were warped making it nearly impossible to flatten the top. Should be called Sorta-Flat not certiflat. Other than flatness the table works well, except for the fact 16mm is not a standard "dog" size in the US. While it's a bit of a pain I now make all my own clamps and accessories so they are the right size.

It's flat enough for my needs, but it's not quite perfect. I think if I'd spent a bit more time I could have gotten it a little more exact. My top didn't have anywhere near 1" of bow to it though. Another factor could be that I didn't build it like they recommend with the bow up and pulled down in the center with clamps. I had the bow facing down (so that the edges were lifted up instead of the center). I did this because one side of the plate had a huge gouge in it from shipping and I wanted that side down.

How much does it weigh?

I don't know the exact weight. The shipping weight was listed as 257 pounds. That included the heavy skid it was bolted to, but not the side extension I put on the right side, which shipped separate. I'd guess around 250+ pounds all together.
