Hi everyone,
Please consider subscribing if you like this type of content and thank you for the support!
In this video, I take on the seat mounts that are a common failure point on the 924 and early 944. I will cut out the seat mounts, fix the captive nut plates and weld them back in place, not forgetting to line up the seat mount holes, prime, and paint before reassembling the driver's seat in position.
As always thanks for watching and for the support.

Your information is amazing. My 924 has been garages for 20 years. I would love to get it running, but don't know where to start. The engine was locked up, but I have freed that. Now I have crank but no fuel, although I don't want to pull that through from tank anyway. Think it will be a very long process.

Hi Chris, thanks for the comment and support. Great to hear that you are bringing your 924 back to life. Just take it step by step :), now your engine is unlocked, maybe just try and run some fuel from a petrol can, run a pipe directly to your fuel pump, at least you know its clean fuel. If you have spark, give it a try. You may want to give the WUR a quick clean out just to help too. Let me know how you get on 🤞👍

Nice tidy job. Not sure filler is worth it in an area you can’t see though. I’m looking forward to the summer and some more driving😊

Thanks for the comment and support Chris. I think a little OCD crept in at last minute haha. I cant wait to get it through its MOT and hit the roads this year too. How is the super charger doing?

V3 of the kit is installed and waiting for testing :). It should be more robust.

Hey in the process of working on my car but I'm at a stand still as I have a nut that started free spinning before I got the bolt/seat out. What do you recommend for steps to take it if you have a video detailing on how to do it that would be swell thx again

Hi Oliver, thanks for the comment and support. So you can try to use an impact tool that would spin the bolt faster than the captive nut which may give it a chance to break free. Failing that you could try a very thin end of a screw to jam between the bolt head and the bracket if it's a front seat bolt. If it's the rear seat mounts there is an access whole where you can get under with a flat nose screw driver and jam it against the captive bracket to stop it spinning. Let me know how you get on and if none of that works there maybe a more drastic approach 😉👍🤞
