It's also interesting because he says he's an "accountant, of sorts" which could imply that he records/keeps track of deaths and those who have died, like managing files of dead people.
Something interesting about Dutch in this game is that the performance actor, Ben Byron Davis, who played Dutch in both games, quit a heavy smoking habit in between production of RDR1 and 2. Because of that, he has a huskier, breathier voice in the first game that makes him sound naturally older in a game that came out first
yeah, kim the other guy said. rob wheithoff smoked a lot between rdr1 and 2, making his voice sound raspier and more strained. therefore more high pitched and makes him sound more like a punk kid. for some reason, epilogue john’s voice is the deepest and very growly.
Right when you meet Dutch is when you realize your playing a masterpiece. The whole game is a slow burn but once you start looking for Dutch, the writing just becomes immaculate. Enjoy the ride Also your reaction to the Strange Man is amazing
Yeah, the game really is split into three separate acts. The first two aren't bad but so slow and repetitive. The third part really ties everything together perfectly though.
@@carl_consumer.of.reality totally, there's so many filler missions in this game but once you see Dutch for the first time, everything clicks and just pushes the pedal to the metal.
I did the bank mission before the finding Dutch mission, and I had chills when he started speaking. And I felt like John, cause I didn't want to kill Dutch either.
@@ApathetikDarkoyou can also see him in a shake not face to face but in the shake their is a mirror and you can see the strange man behind you which is kinda creepy
@@vivipermata9350 there is also a cliffside that you can see above you. you will see a man with binoculars (i think) looking at you. however, when you go up there you can’t find a trace of the campsite
This dude's personality, combined with his editing makes for such phenomenal content! His RDR2 vids are by far my fav gaming vids on youtube. Highly recommend!
I discovered in RDR2 epilogue, you visit the store keeper in Armadillo, there's a photo of the stranger behind the counter. After going through the catologue, John says something like "you know that man?" to which shopkeeper says "no, feller came in and gave me the portrait, but I liked it so that's why it's up on the shelf, you know him?" and John says "no, just seemed familiar that's all..." LIKE WHAT?!
I know you lore: basically bro in the top hat with the mustache has watched all our characters and judges them (to their face at least) players speculate he’s either god, satan or death
Jett in duels you have to shoot when the flashing reticle goes white. I tried searching for it online and never saw that answer, figured it out for myself and never lost after that
You probably won’t see this but the three bullets that john shot are the dead’s of John, uncle and I think the mom and the 4th jammed saving the life of Jack
Fun Fact: The Strange Man in the “I Know You” quest is actually in RDR2 but is found on a painting canvas in a secluded shack in the Lagras Swamp. As you continue to progress through chapters, if you return to the shack time in time and again, the painting canvas will show progress until ultimately near the end of the game, the painting is fully completed showing the “Strange Man” on the art canvas completed. Far as anyone knows, nobody is sure of who or what painted the picture of the “Strange Man”
since the first Mission this guys a Dark Memory from your Past remembered he said "you've forgotten Far more Important People then me" in RDR1 Sadie, Arthur, Mac, Jenny & Davey all these weren't in this Game Tilly, Sean, Mary Beth & more
Hey jett loving this videos so far, your channel help me get my mind clear and finish some business that i was scared of do, love you man and keep safe
This was the best episode so far! Strange man even has a youtube channel that's how much influence he has i loved your reaction man i suggest to look him and the side missions about what this character means in the game I had the same reaction seeing and hearing Dutch again it really is insane they already had this before Rdr2 they had some great ideas Appreciate all the vids bro your doing great and another horror would be the best keep it up!💜💯🔥
If you get max honor, you unlock the legend of the west outfit, its a full black duster coat and outfit. Truely the main character outfit. you should get it before the end of the game
Hello Jett I don't know if you will read this. If you do read this I would like to suggest you to play a game that marked a lot of people in a good way. After you completed the last of us I realized that you enjoy deep stories, but sadly most of those type of games focus on sad and dark situations (the last of us is an example too)... I'm extending this too much, so long story short: play MASS EFFECT TRILOGY, you will enjoy it, and so will we ❤
funny thing about john and dutch, theres camp dialogue in rdr2 that tells us john was actually dutchs favorite before everything with micah and the pinkertons. makes how they end up a little more sad
Jet btw i don t think you' ve understood who agent ross is. You remeber with arthur when you go fishing with Jack, two pinkertons approch you. One of them is the dude that you kill when you save abigail near the end of arthur s life and the other, the one with black hair, is agent ross.
@@monsterandcharacterunivers3079 All extremely valid, chances are he’ll play Mafia after then back to Walking Dead. But for his next decision game it should be LIS
@@CrypticRuins_ lol he played tlou1 mid dlc after part 1 and the dlc didnt even have barley anything in it just ellie and riley wondering around the mall and btw id be hyped for mafia but life is strange NAH
@@monsterandcharacterunivers3079 Nah the dlc was good even just for a small side story and personally Mafia is pretty mid to me. Jett was get involved more emotionally in LIS
Some have theorized that The Strange Man is a god summoned by the store owner of Armadillo which caused the Cholera outbreak in (RDR 2) that town before it got rebuilt and repopulated (RDR 1). And there’s a painting of him in the swamps somewhere in RDR2 that is influenced by your choice on Jimmy Brooks. If you save Jimmy the portrait is complete but if you kill Jimmy the portrait is obscured. And there’s a hidden poem near the painting that’s also influenced by the choices. But I personally, the Grim Reaper has the power to do the same thing of causing a disease outbreak so it’s MORE plausible that the Strange Man is the Horseman of Death himself considering the colors of his clothes and that he knows everyone that lives and dies. The motive on WHY the store owner summoned him remains unclear.
46:22 took me out 😂😂😂😂. Also Jett, it makes me sad you be missing some good dialogue cuz you be on your phone. 😩 Love this channel so much tho. My current fav. Congratulations on 170k
If you remember, Jett, Ross was in the first game, he was the guy with the moustache that accompanies Agent Milton when they visit Arthur and Jack while they're fishing and a few other times as well.
The quickdraw minigame has nothing to do with accuracy. If you take a closer look you'll see the reticle pulsing from red to white and shrinking down. It's all about timing your tags when the crosshair is white on the body areas you wanna hit ! Also if you're quick enough you can tag the opponent's arm holding the gun and disarm them without killing them. It gives you more fame that way.
late asf but the strange man is in rdr2 but he never shows up only in pictures hes in the bayu kinda where you got arthurs manhood took an you go back each time an the painting gets filled in more an he appears behind you in the mirror but when you turn around he disappears theres also quotes over the walls an desk about youre low/high honour gameplay an the jimmy brooks quote from when you first get to valentine
