well... the reaper's rewards are boring again 

Might just be me, but I kind of like how easy it is to finish the weeks - makes it easier for many people to actually be able to get them done on time every week, especially if they only have a small amount of time available to play. I do understand where that can bore some people, though, and I did find myself wishing week 2 had been a little more complex/time consuming. It is what it is, though, and at least this event is something I'm having a lot of fun with overall. Hopefully the last few weeks are as interesting as these first few have been.

i’ve actually been really enjoying the reapers rewards! i’ve never really played with ambrosia before so it’s fun. but i do have to play it without mods because no matter what i do it doesn’t play nice with mods 😬

Notes from this weeks event: - The boots are actually not tagged as either feminine or masculine so you have to remove the gender tag either way, to find them. - The Bike CAN NOT be ridden unless you have one of the packs that allows it. Otherwise it's just a decoration, sadly. EDIT: okay so the bike does work for some folks and not for others, I'm assuming there is a glitch or something I'm missing that is making it where I can't use it. - The book can't be purchased like normal books, it has to be purchased in build/buy from the skills and activities section. - Catching the fish very quickly isn't luck. During the event you have a higher chance of catching it in Realm of Magic or the Crowded Quarter of Willow Creek (for base game players). EDIT: If trying in Willow Creek, best spot is behind the Gym or Museum. Willow Creek Park doesn't seem work for folks

Im enjoying the tasks being short because it's encouraging me to build the story telling aspects of my sims so I'm actually developing their personal lives more than typical

i actually really like this mini-series - and this episode. it's fun to see you do the reaper's rewards, but honestly it's also fun seeing you just play out morgan's story, even if it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the rewards.

Ive been having a spectacular time with this rewards challenge! I think they are challenging enough to be engaging but not overwhelming or impossible feeling. I know it might seem too easy for pro players, but Im a baby simmer and Ive really liked it.

I’ve been watching sims content for a long time but never really wanted to play myself! The reapers rewards finally motivated me to start playing and I’ve had so much fun!

The reaper’s reward event has coincided with my computer being broken and that I have been too tired to play the sims at all due to burnout. It’s honestly feels so shitty to miss out on so much free content due to circumstances I can’t help 😭😭 the log in reward we had before at least only required that you logged in to get the reward, witch is so much easier to get done.

If you have Realm of Magic, it sends you to Casters Alley because the potion shop sells angelfish randomly. But, during this week's event, they will automatically be there before you complete that goal. If you're having trouble catching the angelfish, go to the potion shop and you can buy as many as you want. I then had to fish and catch any fish, and it automatically updated when that I had caught a bass. But, also for future reference after this event, if you want to make ambrosia, check the potion shop, the stock rotates randomly and they even sell things like orchids. Also, the garden shops in Cottage Living sell lots of rare plants randomly, too.

These quests actually made me grow a death flower for the 1st time in Sims 4 and also made my sim do fishing and gourment cooking. I'd never do it if not for this 😊

I think they made it so you catch the angelfish immediately if you have this task. I fished it out of the heart pond in Enamorada, also on the first try. It's the same with how you would always get a snapdragon and the lily in the first flower seed packet when you had the task to buy them. I actually tried to do the grim tasks with another sim, but because they didn't have the earlier tasks anymore I couldn't get a snapdragon and a lily from the flower seed packets no matter how many of them I bought.

I don’t know if anyone else had this issue but my rewards randomly stopped working and I now don’t get the prompts in my game. Stopped at week 1 and I can’t figure out how to get it to start again

Please keep doing these. 1. It’s a good reminder for me when you post. 2. It helps me a lot when I don’t understand how to do the tasks. 3. MORE CONTENT FOR US :)

I can't believe you were able to get an angelfish that quickly! 😮 I had to play for HOURS and still didn't get one (my sim spotted one while examining the water and that somehow counted towards the quest... 🤷🏻‍♀️) Also, the quest said casters alley because you could buy one sometimes. The other quests aren't specific to the magic realm, in fact the "catch an angelfish" quest said I should fish in one of the basegame worlds, a specific neighborhood. So yeah, you got insanely lucky with the angelfish!

They're still broken as well, which sucks for me. I really wanted the starborn freezer boney, but oh well. Guess I have to waste my time getting a room every time I want the items in my builds.

You can also buy an angelfish in caster's alley, and it'll still count towards the event goal. Just fyi for anyone who doesn't want to fish. Also, tbh, it genuinely seems like they struggled to make this a month long challenge. This probably wouldn't feel as bad/boring if it doesn't need to be so artificially stretched out to last all of October instead of a week or two. But, I get wanting to give people enough time to actually complete it since that was a big complaint about their last login event.

As a dutchie, the bike has a chokehold on me and I love how you just travel with it to other places, even just moving around the lot everything is so much faster!!!!

i actually really liked this week, i only have the base game and i was so excited to see and be able to have the experience of riding a bike!!! idk why it doesnt work for some people, it works completely fine for me

-I only got ONE of the quests for this week, the “learning from the lady” one isn’t showing up! Which means I’m unable to unlock the batfish…

I like the boots, the little freezer boney and the bike is pretty cool. If you don't have a pack that has bikes getting a bike for free if pretty nice.

You can actually buy angel fish sometimes from one of the shops in Caster Alley. 😅 I bought like 5.

Me and my son is really enjoying playing the Reaper Rewards and it’s so fun to see all the different stories people are creating with theirs ❤ I have been playing with my version of the Hells Belles HELLP DESK cast and have been using Sharkie to do the rewards and it has been so fun.

I hope you keep filming this! I really like seeing you play through it, it makes me excited to do it too!

It actually took me playing 3 evenings in a row to get the angelfish... I began to worry they'd taken them out of the game

This challenge actually came at a great time for me! The save I just started playing makes it really easy to integrate the challenge into the plot, which is nice because I can get the rewards and use ambrosia for the first time without having to create a save just for that.

Black cats are the actual best! Our little Truffles is an absolute sweetheart, and ruler of all that she surveys.

I am really enjoying the Reaper's Challenge. Getting the necessary skills up can be time consuming but I'm not feeling all that rushed about it. I can get the event tasks done and still have plenty of time to spare to mess around with other stuff. I was happy to see the skill books availability in all the libraries show up on the laundry list. I like to use the Willow Creek library at the beginning of my games when I am short on cash. I am curious to see if it's just a matter of making the "library bookshelves", which can't be cloned) available elsewhere in the game. It will be nice not to be limited to just the one library.

Hi, everyone!! I need to share this! I figured out what the last tarot card is, the one with the mist surrounding the sim, it is not a transformation of the sim but the transformation of the worlds, specifically the four worlds they featured on the card. The worlds we have been begging them to update for a long time. I hope they update Oasis Springs and Willow Creek too!!!!!! I realized this when I was watching Dove and Serpent tarot. I really hope I am right. I know it sounds so random, but what if I am right??? That would be the biggest improvement in the game's history! Think about it: they showed the new mermaid urns and tombstones the other day. Is that a hint for the improvements of Sulani? I am waiting for the next hint with bated breath. If they do it will make having all these updates so worth it!! That could be the reason for all the updates we have been having lately, like on a weekly basis. Like they say don't get your hopes up.

I really like this series, it's been kinda fun. I would be open for them to continue something like this again. 🎉

I spent the entire week on week two, and then it only took me one day to get through week three- I will say that the Batfish is very cute, and it made me VERY happy to watch my vampire sim watch the Batfishie,,,, but I wish he'd fit in the small fish tanks,,, Vampire sims just can't have small houses ig 😅

So they bring you to casters alley to go to the shop to buy rare items like the death flower itself or the angelfish. Also, if you closely read the letter and what the reaper reward says, it tells you to graft the the two plants needed to grow the deathflower which is why it prepped you for grafting. If you arent ready for grafting, then collect the flowers and/or plant them.

I honestly love this weird little series, I would love for it to continue after the rewards are over. I loved this episode.

LOL, the fish hated my Sim! She fished for hours and caught lots of other things but no Angelfish - even though she'd caught them before. I finally completed it on a different save. 🤣

Like the ear ring. ALL my teen and older Sims are wearing it for all occasions except sleeping. The Grimophone is my new favourite sound system.

I've never played with ambrosia and I've started a whole new legacy using these rewards as a lead up to and beginning of the story for them for the pack coming out at the beginning of the month. Last week was more involved, but I'm still enjoying it and find that I'm playing in ways I usually don't

Oh, Kayla, the Caster's Alley thing was because you can actually go to the Caster's Alley to purchase the Angelfish (sometimes, I believe) in the potion ingredient store! I was having very bad luck trying to catch an angelfish so I gave up and went there to get the Angelfish. I was lucky enough that it was there on the first time I went.

5:39 "Skill books aren't really available easily..." WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY'RE NOT AVAILABLE EASILY?! you can literally buy them from any bookcase at any time - how is that not easy?!

My personal favorite reward from this event is the bike since it's the first bike to be entirely part of the base game with no packs required.

I was so exited for this video because I thought I might get tips on how to catch the angelfish... but you caught it on the first try... I have spent over 4 real-life HOURS trying to catch that stupid fish! HOWWW 😭😭😭

I swear EA cant do anything right. I got through week 2, but now it won't say week 1 or 2 are completed and the pop ups with the event tasks for week 3 aren't showing up (playing on ps5).I wasn't a huge fan of the idea of another reward thing and this is exactly what I was worried about. Very disappointing.

I am very much so enjoying this gameplay. And I hope you keep posting them. I was enjoying this the first week, and then not so much. The bug where my save wont recieve the newsletter puts a dampener on it, as I have to keep switching between saves to tick off all the tasks. But also this week was short.

I only have the base game so it has been cool to get a bike for my sims . I probably have 4000 hours in game , mostly building and I am still learning stuff from watching lilsimsie . She makes it look easy .

You’ll catch the angelfish immediately because of the reaper rewards. I fished in a little pond next to my house (I don’t have realm of magic) and immediately caught the angelfish too.

Want to make a Sim hysterical ? Place a few My Sims figurines around and activate their emotional aura. Jave a playful painting ? Hang it and activate it's aura. Have a playful sculpture ? Another playful aura. Go to the mike and tell jokes. Have fun interactions to target. Know a ghost who died of laughter ? Be sure to invite him. Then, a good comedy skill do help as well as a good charisma skill.

I've really enjoyed the reaper rewards lol. I enjoy watching you play through them too! I didn't realize you could fish in the secret Glimmerbrook area. When you hover over the specific task it'll tell you what it wants. Mine said to check the merchants to see if anyone was selling the angelfish.

so i've not had any bug problems with the event so far BUT i've noticed that bc i don't have the paranormal stuff and realm of magic bonus quests i didn't have enough points to get the batfish even tho i got all of the quests done, i've seen other people experiencing the same thing which is kinda unfortunate but i hope i'll be able to catch up in week 4

I'm having fun with the little quests, I don't usually have incentive to play the game like this, but it's been fun! I also thought it'd be hilarious to use the sweetest, friendliest pastel sim I could make for these quests about death, so that's been a good time. 😂 She has surpassed every expectation, befriending not only the Grim Reaper, but three vampire Sims. 🤣

For the most part I’ve enjoyed this challenge. I’ve never made ambrosia before because I never let my sims die and finding an angelfish seemed like a lot of work. It was. It took two sim days before I realized not ALL ponds in the sims have angel fish. I had to go to willow creek to get a fish. In total it took three days and was just as obnoxious to complete as I anticipated. Wish I had known you could fish in the realm of magic that would have been a help. I just bought an angelfish in casters alley but that doesn’t complete the fishing task

I’m actually loving the reapers reward event! Kind of obsessed with the bike 😅

I just made a Spellcaster for the Reapers Rewards and it was so annoying! I'm happy they've got the bug fix in the pipeline. I also made a black cat named "Salem" for her. I don't usually play in live mode and this event has been fun.

My sim has the observer trait, to see peoples traits on meeting them. In my game, the grim repear is an art lover

Kayla had me dead when she said "if a tree falls on my house I'm blaming EA. I'm not kidding." xdd

My bat fish arrived FOUL. Can’t even display it because my sims think it STINKS and constantly sniff the air and make the stink motion. I think I’ll just sell it when the event is over because it’s absolutely USELESS

To be fair it still took me 2 days in game to catch the angelfish so you got lucky! I have never bothered to make ambrosia before so is fun to have a reason to do it and to come up with a way to integrate it into my normal save file!

Lol, so jealous. For me the event quest glitched any time I tried to go to realm of magic so I couldn't complete that and I spent four Real Life days trying to catch an angelfish at other spots before I was just... F*** this and gave up. At least I got the boots & the bike.

Literally every time there is a step which is usually luck driven, the event seems to have forced certain outcomes. For the seeds, with the task active I always got what the task needed. And then you fish where they tell you and immediately catch an angelfish.

Couple things. Black cats have a place in my heart too, I have my little black cat called missy. She's super hyper and crazy. Also, another cat called Morgan, his nickname is usually morg, or fatso

I love the bike, this is my first one; I don't have the packs that came with the bikes...I think the quests may get harder, so for me, I like the easier to break it up. I love that you are doing the quests with us actually. Thank you so much. I'm glad you are in a less veiltail place and I appreciate you letting us know that you are safe,.

At least, I didn't need to remove all of my mods and CCs to be able to complete this week quests. Week 1 : Needed to remove them to be able to complete several tasks. Week 2 : Needed to remove them to be able to even get to the Main Menu, instead of having a non-functional darkened main menu. Uses for the bird of paradise : make some §§ and flower arrangement. Use for the batfish : Ingredient for cooking recipe requiring «fish», putting them in an aquarium, stuffing them and selling them. Also, when playing in French, they have a pretty fancy name... Reduce clipping issue when a kid is practising riding a bike... Like the kid phasing through trees, boulders, walls, and everything else ? Teleporting infants is NOT just a Vampire thing. I don't have Vampire and my infant very often teleport out of their cribs... And not only to within the house, but to some far location of the neighbourhood after any load screen to the house. Like resuming the game or returning from an active career. In the magic World, you can fish in the stream behind the Magic Building and next to the broken greenhouse.

What I liked about these quests is that there is pack compatibility, I had missions with the Paranormal and the Wizards pack

I’ve kind of been enjoying them because I had a spellcaster sim that grows plants; not only that, but a friend of his got eaten by his cow plant and died. So I already had a save file where the gameplay worked into the story. I haven’t even touched the rewards yet and I’m sure they’re just okay. But I’ve been having a great time

I just bought the fish at the magic market in glimmerbrook and that counted as well 🤷‍♀️

This gets much more interesting if you set your lot to a haunted house. I have SO MUCH FUN with this save now
