Ana you should have also interviewed a FOB asian girl (fresh off the boat), i'm curious what they think about it. I showed some of my FOB friends and they just found it funny, they weren't offended at all. Maybe it's only ABCs who are offended?
I think it's current the fault of social justice warrior culture that is prevalent in US universities. This generation of universities students have been taught to be extremely offended by everything and see racism in everything that in the past would be constituted as mild humor. They don't know what true racism is. They are trying to define racism as anything that hurts one's own subjective overly sensitive feelings.
@@nriab23 Tell me if I'm wrong but are you white? I always find it funny how people who think like this almost always end up being white because white people literally do not experience racism compared to non-white people.
@@learnedeldersofteemo8917 They actually didn't tell her what the song was about, she thought she was just going to do a sexy photoshoot and didn't know about the lyrics
This is offensive because it's produced by Jay's. The entire video and script for the video as it's lyrics were written by the nose people who pretend to be whites in this video. It's important to view this video in the context of history. Hollywood produced and had created=invented the Coolie image of the Chinese. This is still ongoing in the media of today. As most Americans can't understand this to be happening with nearly all races, the media portraits bad images of all groups except the one who runs the mass media itself. Thus, Asians=Chinese & Koreans, Blacks=African's and American blacks, Whites, Mexicans, Arab's/ Muslimi, Puerto Ricans/Dominicans are portrayed in the media constantly in a racist way. That's why they all complain about their image. The problem is, they're watching it and seem to find it still okay by complaining about it. There is only one group who never ever is portrayed in a self degrading manner, that is the race, that owns the mass media. Who would that be? The entertainment mass media industry started with Hollywood. Book reference: An Empire Of Their Own: How The J's Invented Hollywood by Neil Gabler.

An overprotective society is a weak society. We don't build houses with straw and tell the wind not to blow too hard. We build houses of bricks and be prepared for a storm.
God and people say Irish people (I'm Irish) are people who are small and wear green hats and get drunk all the time. It's funny and doesn't bother me.There is a difference between stereotypes that are vicious and nasty and ones that have a hint of truth.... Irish people do drink and are known for the pubs. China is known for rice.... so what.
Well, the rice part was the best one. The offended their culture, told racist and misogynist jokes. But this isn't the problem, cause you know, it's part of comedy. The problem is that they totally missed the point. Moreover, there isn't an Asian girl. The actress in the video is Vietnamese, but all the jokes are about Chinese and Japanese culture. They are basically saying that all asian people are the same. They aren't.
