This was a backpacking trip we did in early September 2020. We found an amazing campsite, explored 7 lakes, and climbed up to a high point just below the summit of Mount Alpha Centauri. This was such a nice area that we're both looking forward to returning again someday.

Have Sone this great hike. My only CAUTION Is parking at the trail head The rodents love to chew on your cars wires and the possibility of a disabled vech looms Great vid thank you

How do you get to this logging road? I can’t seem to find it in google maps or anything

I just use a GPS app (Orux Maps) on my cell phone and then load the Open Topo Maps on it for the area. The route will be really obvious on any backcountry map. You start by simply driving west of Radium.

very nice! how's the road going to the trailhead? I can see you used a mazda van.. is it a well maintained FSR?

I wouldn't say well maintained. There were some bad ruts that I was forced to straddle a few times. I would have been hung up for sure if I tried driving in the ruts. Then I was really pushing my luck going up the last 1 or 2 km because my Mazda 5 only has 5.5" of ground clearance. But I did manage. Next time I'll probably park at the bottom of the hill instead of driving all the way up.
