A few questions to the pathetic owners. 1. Where is the bosses statue? Long long overdue do you not agree? 2. Why has the boss not been back as a welcome and respected guest? 3. Who was the wanker/s who paid for the shitty light aircraft to fly over with the message " wenger out "? Get this statue sorted you fucking embarrassing owners and when you have made your quick buck and fuck off back to your side of the pond you can take the wenger out brigade with you along with all them muppets from AFTV!
yoo ffs go and watch cricket muppet and i am LFC fan. The amount of disrespect some people show to Arsene is unbelievable, what have you achieved big guy to give valuation to one of the best coaches ever ?!? OOH yes maybe you won a 10£ from the lottery...total bonckers
@Christy Dolan LOL look at your WOBs now. Look where Arsenal is without him. We have no backbone, we have no Arsenal spirit. He reminded the squad of why they were playing. Arteta is great but there's only one Arsene Wenger.
It just shows how classy Arsene Wenger is. His players have so much respect for him. You also realised how the media have demonised him making out he is selfish but you can see that all he has is love for the club and the game. What a guy!
Arsenal since 1886 (131 years in top flight football) The club has won 13 League titles (3 delivered by AW), 13 FA Cups (record, 7 delivered by AW), 2 League Cups, 14 FA Community Shields (5 delivered by AW), 1 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Total trophies in 131 years = 43. Delivered by AW in 21 yrs = 15. AW has been manager for 16% of AFC's existence but has delivered 35% of its trophies. If you think AFC was winning everything before 1996, read above again.
King Jaffe Joffer yes but it's been 13 years since arsenal won the league. 13 years!! The fans pay the most for tickets anywhere in the world. Arsenal have th4 money to be buying the best players. Any other manager of a top club would be sacked after 3 years with no title.
He came to England and pushed the bar up crazily with his methods and obscure signings. Then, he didn’t evolve after his early success. He became the unofficial Finance Director and Agent of outgoing sales. He can’t handle men. He’s a boys coach. He can make a teenager great, but there isn’t much he can do for players once they’ve reached their prime. That’s what puts him behind Fergie. Fergie could handle strong personalities in their prime.
Around 19:30 mark, he talks about the influence of social media on team selection. And that couldn't have been more true today. This man is a legend in my eyes, not just for making this statement, but what a philosophical human being he is with his knowledge and wisdom. Whenever I have to think of an old, stereotypical Frenchman living the rest of his life in peace knowing that he did something good to stamp his impact into something global, I think of Mr. Wenger, and as someone who supports a direct rival to Arsenal, he has my utmost respect. Long live, Le Professor.
"No matter what the manager says, the players know best what's happening on the pitch" Tells you lot about how much Wenger respects and believes in his players and his approach towards being a manager. Class.
What an intelligent, clever guy. Sure, he is not without fault. None of us are. But his contribution cannot be measured with words alone. So humble. I am glad he has two more years. i hope Arsenal do really well in the forthcoming season.
I'm so torn on Arsene: on one hand, I find it hard to forgive the fact that we haven't won the league for over ten years now, on the other hand, I have nothing but respect for a man who has guided us to a top-four finish consistently. I can completely understand the frustration of anti-Wenger fans, but the thought of sacking a man who has done so much for Arsenal, let alone the Premier League, makes me truly sad. A great manager who, I hope, leaves Arsenal as a legend.
LiterARTrue; very well said, I love Arsene Wenger and have for 20 years, go gunners and stay as long as possible Wenger.. when he leaves I could imagine Thierry Henry as a manager, must be someone big following Wenger...
Absolute legend. Never wanted him out. Miss the class he brought to english football. I cant even understand Unai emery. I just switch off when hes interviewed.
Wenger is such a loyal servant for Arsenal! He sacrificed his own glory for Arsenal's future! Absolute legend! Love Arsene for the person he is and the unbelievable work he did for us!
Spurs fan here. I've always had a lot of time for Wenger, what he achieved during his time with you lot was amazing. It's just too bad he wasn't our manager! 😂
The legend of Arsenal Football Club and one of the best Master, coach and fantastic leader the football ever had. I love personally and the way be made his team played. Respect Respect Respect
Being a Spurs fan, not a fan of Sol Campbell at all, but I have so much respect for Arsene Wenger, this is a brilliant interview... need to watch the rest of it. Interested in comparing his management still to say Conte, Pep, Poch...
I have total respect for Campbell because i understand the industry. Campbell knew he had the skills to operate at a much higher level and also recognised his worth. Just as you do I'm sure. A player only has a heart beat to perform at his peak a manager has a lifetime in comparison.
I also understand the industry, its not the fact that he left, but more how he left. He has since actually apologised for the way he left in a roundabout way (www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2581254/Sol-Campbell-apologises-Tottenham-fans-Arsenal-no-regrets-transfer-north-London-rivals.html) ... He says he spoke to Tottenham and asked for a particular wage which he thought was more in line with his ability / service and that would also encourage others to come in at the club that could match his ability and the club could build from there. His request was turned down, I don't think we could afford what he was asking to be honest and that's when he allowed his contract to run down (I believe out of bitterness) and went to Arsenal our main rivals on a free! All the while mind you saying to the fans and everyone else I will stay, I will sign a new contract. If your gonna leave, that's fine, at least allow the club to recoup some money from your transfer, allow Spurs to make something back so we can have something to work with when looking for a replacement. This is what angers Spurs fans until today, I don't begrudge Sol for going to Arsenal, but it is the manner in which he did it, it was quite a nasty thing to do to be quite honest. That's why he still receives such hatred up until today!!
I respect Wenger, Guardiola, Allegre and Simeone because these are individuals in the way they organize their teams. 18:40 - Arsene talks about computers picking teams and supporters voting for substitutions as if this is something that might happen in the future but a lot of managers have relied on trends to field their teams. In the 1990's everyone was playing 4-4-2 after the turn of the millennium it was 4-2-3-1, now the trend is 3-4-3. These teams might as well be using a computer's to choose their starting 11. And as far as supporters picking the team, in the U.S. this is called the All Star game.
Just Marley 1980 Spurs fans should move on, it’s absolutely pathetic. No human deserves that level of abuse for switching football teams, much more important things in life. There really is no justification for the behaviour of the majority of spurs fans with regards to Campbell.
@@MarknoblesAcidhouseparty Arsene made the players wear flip flops in the showers for hygiene purposes, Sol is asking what he got most out of Japanese football and brought to Arsenal, Hygiene or the mental aspects.
I'm a man united fan & it's refreshing to see him sharing his knowledge with them surprisingly after all those years working with him they still surprised about certain things. I disliked mourinho at Chelsea but when he joined united i saw a certain side of him which actually made me like his way which can also be very dangerous if he's coaching weak minds. Arsene talks about signing players when he's really convinced so club boards should stop being silly & back their managers
So glad I watched this. I watch a lot of AFTV, and although I enjoy connecting with those fans, I think I have allowed myself to be influenced by their opinions of The Boss. I've always been a huge fan of him, and I will continue to be. I am glad he is staying for 2 more years.
mainstream sux This is humans for you. Allowing emotions to run you. Arsene wenger is great probably the greatest. A nice and respectful man. Quite alright. But for what he has done, the last yen year has been poor and frustrating. There comes a time in life you need to quit. What else does he expect to achieve
As Robbie has said in the past, maybe Wenger is setting the club up for future success by bringing in very good players and getting back into CL. I can see the club really looking for his replacement next year.
I don't really see the need of stating which team you are fan of. I'm a football fan. And this man gave us, among these 3 in this video, Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Pires, Ljungberg, Silva, Petit, Adams, Cazorla, Koscielny, Overmars, Fàbregas, Cole, Ramsey, Wilshere, Walcott, Persie ... even with the tier of Keown, Parlour, Mertesacker, Ozil, Nasri, Kanu, Sanchez, Song, Toure, Clichy, Nasri, Anelka, Adebayor, Oxlade Chamberlain, Belarin, Vermaelin. His last act for English football was to give the PL Aubameyang and gave Cech a proper sent off. The man pioneer sport science and fitness in the Premier League and was responsible of giving us countless of beautiful football. I am forever grateful to him.
Whats frustrating is that he is a purist when it comes to the game...freedom and liberty by the player to take action....which sets him apart from the others,,,,however, the culture and approach is not in his fashion and we are losing matches. I love the Boss but I want him to go on high ground. He doesn't deserve the "wenger out" banner during the matches, but he needs to get us out of this messy situation, and we hope he is involved in grooming of the next manager. I have mad respect for the boss, remember the Invincibles, that beautiful form of football we played and still play.....COYGS!
A legend put arsenal on another level in 1996 his business deals are legendary at the club only he could sell anelka for 23.5 million buy Henry for 10 million and build a state of the art training ground in coleny out of the money and get champions league for 20 consecutive years that's an incredible record for a premier league side
I respect him a lot, very intelligent man and humble. Looking at what Jose Mourinho trying to do now with Spurs which is facing the same issue after moving stadiums, it's not so easy. Even if he was The Special One. He is experiencing how Arsene was going through between 2006 to 2018. When the structure changed a lot from within and loyalty lost from behind. We can see a lot of difference. The final years of Wenger, transfers done without his full approval and support from the office obviously not there. I really hope Mikel with his values and modern tactics learnt from elsewhere can take Arsenal forward. Wenger always the gaffer and happy to see his old boys respect him in some ways. You can see all 3 grown men trying to clear their what was a barrier in the back of their minds for years. Communication and belief was mentioned. I do think its key element. That was where Unai Emery failed. Tactics and vision, he got it. However, he did not believe in some players. Made a bad atmosphere with key players in an abrupt fashion. His inability to communicate well, was a disaster. A big part of the team got alienated. Wenger's personality attracted and build up a togetherness. A lot of players and fans look at him as a missing father figure. It was hurtful to witnessed the latter part of his Arsenal career, where some fans start doing things lacking class and obviously some outsiders too advantage in arranging banners. AFTV was toxic for Wenger. Arsene in my opinion, is still a good personality for boardroom decisions for this club. His knowledge, heart and commitment. He still wearing Arsenal training gear from 2018, when Covid 19 was around the air in London. That really was touching. I realised the reason that I still supported this club was down to the gaffer esp. when Dennis Bergkamp retired, which was my first reason to follow Arsenal. I know the FA Cup wins back to back and 2017 was the belief they have in him. My biggest disappointment was the team crashing out in the EL semi finals during his final year. The passion and emotions from the players was clear with exception to newcomers and those wanting to leave.
I'm his biggest advocate but even I feel that things had gotten stale and we needed a new face in the dugout. You have a totally different experience with Fergie so I don't think you understand what we went through.
I'm one of Arsene's Wenger's biggest fans but i think he should step down as manager at the end of the season. Our form has been terrible recently but I don't think he deserves to be sacked for what he's done for Arsenal football club.
its hard to imagine where arsenal would be today if it did not have arsene as manager during the financial turbulence of the move to the emirates stadium. I am not sure anyone else could have managed the impact of that (on players and supporters) as well as arsene did. Feels that Arsenal would be in a much worse position today had they not had him. (could u imagine Mourinho handling such a situation ? ) it seems he clearly has a good financial brain to complement his people management/technical football brain. Would love to see Wenger and Ferguson sit across a table together on video like this and chat about the old days of their rivalry.
This is the best manager in arsenal football clubs history and future . Wengers managmemt transcended the English game its disgusting that he aint still the manager he built a dynasty that the new guys in charge are destroying. All hail arsene wenger the best manager in premier league history
I think longevity is what makes game and league beautiful...sacking after saking after saking makes it vulnerable..but on the other hand in a 'lil patience' world and pressure by fans and media makes it difficult to stay long at a club.
facts that Arsenal Fan like to mixed up. He hasnt won in his last 10 years or so.. in the same period, he have to deal with problem of building the new stadium, if that not big enough of a problem, Chelsea came along with crazy spending, Man Utd up their game to match Chelsea, and Man City came along with their crazy spending.. All this, with his hand was cuff because of the stadium cost.. Give the man credit.. No one expect Chelsea do what they did when the new stadium was to build, and Man Utd follow Chelsea and Man City came along.. that all unpredictable.. He probably have the worst scenario regarding the timing of the stadium expansion..
