We need to improve squad so selling Richalson makes no sense - we need another striker to start but with injuries rotation we need two quality forwards and Ritchie knows the system and shown can be on bench and when comes on gives his all

He won’t be happy on the bench. As a starter, he isn’t quite good enough. Add in the injuries and it’s worth getting as much of our fee back while he is still a good age. Find somebody younger who can be better. With more time and less doubts about him/his ability.

Werner is better than Gil who we need to sell. The club will get someone else and Werner will make a good squad player & occasional starter. Ange wants him, which is good enough to convince me.

Levy is not the problem, his narcissistic brain is, and that lack of investment on the pitch in key moments is enough for me to know Levy has no idea what is in front of him when it matters. Other wise I respect the man and his business acumen off the pitch. Would you produce the best stadium in the world and then surround it with milk crates to sit on? No, you would not. And that's what he did with Kane, the greatest striker in Spurs history and what did Levy do? Surround him with turkeys and sell all the players capable of making a team to fight for titles, aka, he sold all the good seats and put milk crates in the best stadium in the world, in the analogy of course.,

I think Romero was our player of the season and when he did the interview with Ardiles earlier in season could see his pride in being vice captain and wanting to emulate him and win things for us when watched videos of Fa cup and uefa cup triumphs - then in that interview and one with lo celso when talk about maradonas game for us can see it means something to him plus loved London as city his boy was born in

Fans forget Werner had not played much football when he joined us when he got injured we lost four out of five. Some Spurs fans should get a life one minute you love some players and managers then it's all hate.

Alasdair, I like Timo but you don't pay such high wages for a player who misses so many huge and sometimes very easy chances. 160000 GBP ? Come on let's be serious. Ange has high ambitions for next season. What if Timo misses huge chances in the FA Cup final (just an example) ??? There must be better players on the European market who can do a better job I think. If he was good enough, he would have been in the starting 11 of Leipzig. I like Timo but he does not match the high ambitions that Ange was talking about : competing for the PL title... When you earn so much money you need to be in the starting 11 and score many goals. BUT as you said, we can also assume Ange knows what he is doing ! We'll see in one year who was right ! 🤔

Squad building? You must be joking. Ange said publicly that there were problems with the forward line and in response Spurs has re-signed one of the main problems! And ask this: Would any of the other 'top 6' teams take this Werner deal? And imagine him coming on in the second half of the Europa League final and missing two sitters which would win us the trophy... It's been 5 years since he played well guys, and he's already had long enough at Spurs to show us what he's got. Just get some decent 'grown-up' players and develop the youth. It also upsets the entire wage structure paying him £165k a week. If I was a 'permanent' player on £50k a week who actually delivered for the team, I'd be dead p*ssed off.

Your metrics about Timo are so one sided, why don’t you put up his chances to goals conversion rate and a shooting accuracy of only 24%. Also Timos and goals are always against low level opposition, he goes against the big sides.

Spurs have one of the best defence and GK in the PL. The midfield and attack though are 4th-8th ranking in terms of quality.

Hi Ali when Werner was at Leipzig were the majority of those goals in his epic season from central positions in the box or beating his man on the inside it seems when he goes around the outside he shoot’s wide. Did spurs draw down the $50 m left from Enic

A fit Richardson could score 15-20 league goals. It’s gonna cost a lot of money to buy a striker who is better than that. Time for Spurs to put there big boy pants on.

Who can see him staying fit all season. Him and Jesus seem to be injured too often, other issues too. You just can’t trust him when he has an opportunity and we won’t get top 4 if he stayed as our main striker.

I think him and Van De Ven get on well too. It is about ability. Royal is too poor going forward. Lo Celso, no idea why Ange gave him so few minutes, but he’s injured a lot and it makes sense to move him on with a year left. He always did better in Spanish leagues and unsure with Lamela too why they are injured so much in our colder climate.

It was, but how many mistakes did they make? Generally midfield in front of them was so poor throughout, plus Udogie especially is learning, while Porro too can improve on the defensive side a lot. When any full back was out we looked terrible as the back up is so poor or players out of position.

Not out of their own doings but those in the center of midfield and the lack of reading the opponents game management pushing mostly too far forward ore too wide and leaving the central midfield ,ore left and right side open

Werner is a smart signing for a year. If spurs are going to drastically improve, they need to spend serious money on a 2-3 starting 11 players, not a back up left winger.

The elephant in the room mate. Ange ball. The system encourages 'basketball ' style instability. The first choice first eleven playing in a conventional 4321 would concede way less goals be much more hard to break down a make us brutal top play against. Ironically that first team with Pochettino fullback whispering would thrive. I have my doubts not going to lie

Messi started playing for Barcelona, if you are good enough you can play even at 16-17 in the first team. In England you always way for players to get to 20-22 to start playing them, this is why of late the top talents are leaving the Premier league.

Werner has been retained as Ange needs to build a squad for Europe. In an expanded squad Werner will take on a role as an impact strike player off the bench when legs are tired. Ange will refine his role & get him to just focus on sprinting past players & squaring the ball into the box.

Amazing how many people saying Werner is the cheap option etc when it’s May and we’ve done a deal - if he’s the only signing cone the end of the window then year cheap deal but if we sign and pure striker as well as a forwards/winger as well as other postion the Werner deal is good - he joined having hardly played in a year so with a preseason and more game time he’ll he good in the early rounds of cups and rotation coming off bench etc
