Thats what makes him costumes even better. Dude is insane on stage, and a completely well mannered chill dude off stage lol Blew my mind seeing him without the outfits for the first time to.
How can you say that Wes is better than everybody else in LB? In my opinion, the best, musically, is John Otto. Insaaaanely talented drummer. But it's all components what makes LB so amazing. And on top of that, they're one of the best live bands of all time.
He is brilliant, extremely underrated and humble af! To all the haters, remember who wrote all those LB hits that made it possible for them to perform in front of 60k fans!
I know wes is an artist/sculptor and likes to express his creativity through his image, but he's hot! I prefer him much more without the paint & makeup. And I still love his old riffs. Awesome guitarist!
Wes looked more badass in the Significant Other era. With the spiky hair, sharp-edged sideburns & the goatee... He should've kept that, worked REALLY well for him. But, I guess this isn't the 90s anymore, & we all have to look uniform & shit. Right? No. Fuck that.
They waited too long to get back together. I consider myself as getting around on all "scenes" in life and you never hear of them anymore. They absolutely missed out keeping the trend of "Nu metal" relevant. Now we are over ridden with Justin.....
Nu Metal was going to die either way... Korn stuck around, Linkin Park stuck around. It just wasn't edgy, hip and " Nu " anymore... All the other bands from the Nu Metal era changed their sound in the mid 2000's.
I agree, superb player, artist, inspirer. Love LB and wish they would just start making MORE, dont just rely on one album, get in there, live it, produce loads of music!!!!
When he originally left he talked about how the genre of music limp Bizkit played was dead and he didn't want to stay just for the money. He wanted to make music he really likes
i liked significant other the best....break stuff, nookie, just like this, etc. choc. starfish was good too i wasnt really in to their first album except counterfeit
Sam Rivers is no slouch either. Any disrespect the band may garner, is definitely from Fred Durst. lol My favorite song on their first album was "Everything" because it was an instrumental... lol
Wes and Fred weren't getting along very well, Wes just left because he couldn't deal with Fred any more. I don't know the whole story just bits and pieces
Just like John 5 and Marilyn Manson couldnt get along. Mansons music never sounded the same, then John 5 and Rob zombie went vegan together and frolicked off into the sunset
I’ll always wonder what would have happened to Limp Bizkit had Wes stayed in 2001. They were about to go on another world tour and Wes was going to get tons of royalties and yet, despite losing all his money in the stock market after 9/11 he was bullheaded and chose to leave....even though he was broke. I don’t blame him 9/11 and the Australia Tragedy at Big Day out really shook him. I’ll always wonder what would have been haha
but who was the guitarist on "the unquestionable truth" then? He said he joined LB again in 2009 (and he had left in 2002) but it was said that he is the guitarist in unquestionable truth which came out in 2005 Something is fishy here.
So in the end, LB just isn't your taste of metal. (if you consider it metal in the first place :P) But "the band sucks balls"? That's not fair, they do give a good energetic show that even metalheads enjoy. Last year they headlined GRASPOP 2012. That was a metalfestival with other bands like: Slayer, Lamb of God, Megadeth, Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, Trivium, Children of Bodom and Limp Bizkit ;)
Everyone can have their own opinion but you don't want to forget that Limp Bizkit is a rapcore metal band (or whatever the correct genre is). I mean, Limp Bizkit is influenced by metal, rock, rap and hiphop. Have you ever listened to LB songs? Almost every song's beat and vibe is created/determined by Dj Lethal. And Fred maybe is a tool towards the rest of his band/the world, whatever, you like his musical influence or you don't...
People need to stop seeing Wes as if he's the best in Limp Bizkit. You can't be serious that you only listen to LB because of Wes's guitarriffs. Limp Bizkit is such a great band because everyone's influence: Fred's rhyms, John's beats, Sam's basslines, Lethal's DJ'n AND Wes's riffs. fuck 94Cioppa's comment!
is wes straight? he comes across as a straight guy when hes likes this, but when all dressed up and some of his black light burns videos , bring him across kind of gay, so is he? he does have a wedding ring on his finger in this vid though
obviously i used to listen to them or else i wouldn,t have commented,if they,re influenced by metal it doesn,t show its just power cords no solos thats not very meat now is it just my opinion and hip hop and rap suck ha ha
you got to understand, that music grows just like humans, we all change, if everything was the same sounded the same played the same then that would be boring, were limp bizkit took in into a differnt direction. there some bands out there that dont change. take a look at all the offspring albums, each album has a unique sound, but yeah money talks ay
@Ritsoz you are absolutely right dude. in results may vary they didn't have Wes and in the Unquestionable truth they didn't have John. both albums are the worst LB albums(not bad, but they're in the bottom of the list)
LB is good but I like Wes Borland's Black Light Burns band better and plus makes very catchy riffs in LB, thats why I favor Wes Borland in Limp Bizkit.. cant wait until the 2nd Black Light Burns album comes out, finally got signed to another label.
You know, most of the people who are dissing limp bizkit saying everyone else in the band suck. You guys should seriously stop criticizing them, they were a major hit. Wes was a major part in the band, but then again think about Dj Lethal, he's one hell of a dj. John otto kicks ass on drums as well, I forgot the bassists name but he has some killer riffs as well.
for me 3 dolla was the worst and my fav was chocolate then significant then results. wes is the best part of this band tho. he creates great guitar riffs
people hate them because of Fred. In the past he dissing many bands like Slipknot, Nine inch nails, Eminem etc. But now he is a very cool guy. I hate the deal with cash money because lil wayne sucks, but i think their new style would be like Three Dollar bill Y'all
