just go to west bay and swim straight out on the left side, dont be afraid to go out. there is a lot to see. and do a trip to blue channel if possible.
Thanks for the look- as I used to do West End Roatan back in the early 1990's. Back then that big white sand beach was deserted- 'almost' no development. Today I married a Filipina and snorkel southern Philippines and sorry to say, but there's No fish what soever (where I go!) Why- because the 'locals' live-off the fish and too many people, too many mouths and the fish are gone- tragic! Enjoy Roatan and remember the fish have their place in this world too so treat 'our friends' well!
West bay is the beach. Just go down near the point. The hotel workers can direct you, you just walk out from the beach and you are there. Also you can book a trip to blue channel
i bring my own, but there are rental and places to buy it. you can walk off the beach to snorkel, so no need to pay a guide everything is just a short swim out.
Walk on the beach till your infront of the infinity spa and beach resort and then just go out. Its a big reef, cant miss it. Also take a short boat trip to blue channel
yes, your hotel will have stand on the beach that will help you book whatever you want to do on the island. most of this video was in west bay you just swim out
+David Tompkins some was in blue channel, but most of it was taken off the shore of west bay. i just swam out everyday. blue channel is a must see though
the good thin about roatan west bay is you dont need a company you just go off the shore. definitely take a trip to blue channel which your hotel can help book. dont book ahead of time or u will overpay. the camera was my gopro 3+ black with a shallow filter from backscatter flip 3.1. the filter only works if you dive down like 5 feet. otherwise your shot will be all orange. let me know if you have other questions
