On Tuesday, Nov 28th, 2023, we embarked on an exciting adventure to one of our favorite wintertime trout fishing spots, following a refreshing break over the Thanksgiving holiday. With optimism in the air and favorable conditions, our anticipation paid off! Despite navigating through a ton of small fish, we successfully reeled in a double man limit, making our return to fishing an absolute banger.

I belive fresh water does not feel as cold or hot because it can not transfer the energy .Wood does not feel as cold as Iron bar for the same reason .. when you say you were in deep water how deep is that ?

In the middle it’s pretty deep, not sure on exact depth but the drop off is pretty well defined from the flat areas to the bayou from like 4-8 feet. That drop is where I get most catches.

Everything will remain on trout until August 2024. The proposal is 3 specks, 15-20, with possibly 1 over 20 or 25 as part of the daily bag. The over slot trout size or even if one will be allowed will probably change a few times before being set.

Ahhh, I’m sure people are gonna be upset about that. I don’t eat a ton of fish so it’s kinda cool cause I can say I caught my limit a lot easier now 😂

@@RGCfishingg some may get upset. I take the Elon approach to them...they can gfy. I've grown so tired of hearing "I spent all this money on gear..." or "those are my fish...". Likely half of those that will be upset don't have a fishing license anyways. The other half probably have never been to a scoping meeting, dont support any conservation like CCA, won't hesitate to kill a good breading stock 25" or bigger trout for a picture, and soak croaker thinking they're skilled in someway.

Yea man school fishing is weird sometimes. Lots of small ones mixed in there. On this day it was a catch on almost every cast but most were 13” - 14”

I dont think chocolate is part of west bay....? Title kinda misleading, more like nearby west bay or north of west bay.

Yea but you gotta think “North of West Bay Trout fishing” doesn’t have the same ring to it. I did talk about it’s location being a little north of west bay in the video at one point though.
