just seat tested this in the store yesterday. notice the seat cushion is on the thinner side so unless your less than 110-120 lbs. you will feel the frame underneath since the cushions are soft =1 so we didn't find it comfortable at all. just our experience. best way to know how if its for you is to sit/lay on the sofa yourself on one of the stores
This video was really really really helpful bc I was so wanting to get that same sectional. I really appreciate your honesty and feedback! That’s too bad what West Elm is doing, but just affirms I won’t buy any furniture from them. I like all the sectionals you showed especially the Kipton…. Love that one by Arhaus! Wonder what the true quality is in that sectional bc that too is quite an investment too. It’s so disappointing to invest so much money into a piece and it go south on you that quickly. Ugh how frustrating! And btw Shay almost 2 yrs old… omg 😱 where does the time go! She’s so darn cute! 💗
I agree with Sarah. Don't buy it! I've had mine for 2.5 years and the feathers from the insert started coming out poking our bodies, pillow case threads have been coming apart, and holes have been appearing at the seams. Terrible.
Extremely informative vlog Sarah Bravo 👏 💕 💕 💕 anything & everything you choose to discuss Thankyou again for your time & effort put into each vlog Sorry for the awful customer service experience you received Love always from Uk 🇬🇧
Thank you for your helpful input. I am also in the market for a new sofa. I'm sorry to hear about the defect in your ottoman, as I was considering purchasing one myself to complete the look and feel. Unlike your living situation, I anticipate frequent use of the sofa and will likely break it in quickly. Your video has prompted me to consider West Elm's customer service and warranty options, which I will definitely explore. Thank you!!
Thank You so much for sharing this experience with the couch. West Elm has beautiful furniture but I've found that their customer service can be very spotty for major items.
Oh boy, do I hate the pilling on furniture. The trick is to get nothing but cotton and linen fabrics with no polyester. I love your videos in your home. You’ve actually changed my style.
Can you do a video on lighting on different styles of homes?🌟 Like, what would you pick? 🤍 Like, for instance, I’m still finding my style….🙃I’m into the new Mediterranean/Wabi style.🤎🤍
I tried to find the answer in the video but not sure if I missed it- what is the sectional you like in your den/informal living area near your kitchen that you mentioned? thanks!
I bought this and received it yesterday. Not only was receiving it a complete nightmare but they sent me the wrong corner piece for the side that the ottoman will be on. The back small cushions are also random sizes and I opened one of the pillows to check the fill and there is a cut in the pillow. Not too happy with the entire experience. Also there’s no way to tell if you received the performance fabric or just the regular.
We ordered this sofa sectional and returning it after 3 months. They sent some wooden legs and other half were smaller plastic legs. The delivery/ assembly person said that there has been a mistake and the company will send the proper legs very soon and left. Many calls and many weeks later going back and forth with their customer service we got an email from the manufacturer saying that they are not able to provide us with the required wooden legs. Finally Westelm customer service agreed to take it back for a full refund. WestElm is a good store but the manufacturer of this product is very suspect. I would not recommend this for anyone. Buyer be ware!
Extremely helpful! Was about to purchase this sofa and... not anymore. How do you feel about the look of 7th Avenue sofas? They're extremely durable, waterproof, stain proof. Would love your opinion on that one!
Now this was my experience but I feel I will appeal your need to invest in quality so here it is: Jenni Kayne, however, visually stunning, is going to potentially disappoint as my couch split at the seams and buckled. The piece was not constructed so well that after a few months I noticed that the fabric was not the same all away around and it looked as if some salvage pieces were used under the arms and on the front of the couch wrapping under to the frame. Long story short- It was a nightmare to get this returned and the customer service was not helpful and I was not given a full refund. I went back to my old friend Ethan Allen and they built me a white couch with performance fabric, an artisan signature of craftsmanship, a two year warrantee on frame and fabric and resources who will come out and clean it, repair and service for a small fee. It was expensive but we have young grandchildren and dogs who play, eat and basically use it as their fort and I have had it for a year. Not one issue. I can clean it easily and the fabric has broken in so soft that napping is awesome. Food for thought, Sarah.
Oh interesting! I’ve never looked into Ethan Allen. I’ve never personally tried any of the alternative sofas, just sharing some I thought looked beautiful. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I agree with Sarah. Don't buy it! I've had mine for 2.5 years and the feathers from the insert started coming out poking our bodies, pillow case threads have been coming apart, and holes have been appearing at the seams. Terrible.
Did you even ask about the warranty when purchased? Never assume. Buying couches is the most stressful purchase! Lol! I've ha dmany that I just returned and reselected. You need to be on it, not wait so long to rwport issues. With the pilling, it's a pain, but I did it every week, and it's really slowed down to almost nothing after a few months. It is a lot of work, NGL! I paid good money for my secrional and I was worried but what they kept telling me was true.
Hi, I'm looking for a power reclining sectional. I was looking at the arhaus motion coburn sectional and I went to the showroom and I loved it. But when I did some research on the reviews they were not good - incl The customer service, the quality of the couch and the worry free protection even though the sofa is 10k. I actually tried to ask arhaus about the issues they've had with the extended worry free warranty through their online chat and she disconnected the chat. Have you had or heard much about the Arhaus sofas?
I bought the same couch absolutely hated it. West elm you pay for the name not the quality. I learned my lesson I don’t buy anything from west elm anymore. I sold it! I bought my next sofa at pottery barn absolutely love it, pure white one cushion linen just beautiful high quality. This was for my living room my sectional is in the family room.
my husband hates it lol. we've had it since summer 2020. we are going to get a new one soon and now he doesnt trust me when I say its comfortable and we are picking together, lolol true story... im neutral. its always looked good in our place so that makes me happy but its not the best for comfort and things like that...
Really be careful buying from the Pottery Barn group. You get 30 days return policy and with evidence of damage a year. Ashley furniture, Arhaus and others offer 3-5 yrs and some 10yrs on the frame.
All the issues you are having with this sofa are normal with westelm furniture. I heard that the quality of their furniture is really poor, kind of like at the level of IKEA and Target. I bought a sofa similar to yours. But yours is bigger. Mine is a modular sofa, sleek and modern design in a bone color fabric that is stain-resistance and fade-resistance, no pilling of fabric and no tearing. I have my sofa for 5 years now and we use it everyday! And it’s shape is intact! No bulging, no dents, no flappy areas. I can’t believe the quality of this sofa that I’d purchased from All Modern 5 years ago for less than 2000.00 dollars. I think it was 1.700.00 . …… I have my eye on a new sofa but I really don’t have an excuse to validate the need for a new one, since this one still meets all of our requirements and needs. I think I’ll continue to care for it specially since furniture prices are to the roof!! Sarah, I love your style and I love your videos.
Don't buy a sofa that doesn't allow you to sit upright. I can permanently damage your spine and give you a bad back. A cute sofa is not worth an old age full of back pain. Pottery Barn Cameron is a sofa that lets you sit pretty upright.
