Moyes is history. Forget about him. Presenters love nothing more than to wind west ham fans up with a game of "I told you so".. they don´t care about west ham, they care about themselves.
Not one of them want the at their football club, says it all - it’s just a massive wind up Funny that such a top class football manager is still out of work…
What, and you think you're a big enough club to attract the big name managers?! 🤣🤣🤣 Go and have a lie down you southern softie! You London mob are deluded!
Spurs fan here, i do think you need a manager with set and settled style of play, and THEN pick the style of player that is good fit for that team, you lot looked all over the place at times during that game. Somes time real good, some times real bad. Ange In COYS!!
Being Moyes Out doesn't mean you wanted Lopetegui! Sullivan went for him because he was out of work. He's never prepared to push the boat out for somebody progressive who is in a job.
Hallelujah! We may aswell have folded the club once Moyes walked away seeing as he is apparently the only manager on planet earth that could be a success with the 12 players he chose from - that’s if success is being a dour, negative manager yet still conceding a record amount of goals
Turn around of 21 players and a new a manager was never going to be easy. Moyes left us with the smallest oldest sqaud in the league after spending close to 500m during his tenure part of the reason he had to go, people forget he was offered a new contract which he turned down as it meant less control on transfers, also no west ham fan asked for Lopetegui which was the cheaper option.
@dicaniowhu didn't say it was bad, however it had no planning for the future. Moyes would very rarely change the team or use the subs bench. I actually think we were about 6th midway through the season but Moyes refused steidtens suggestions and demanded we get phillips. Ultimately leading us to fall away from European places, you can't spam the same 11 players everyweek and expect to maintain levels throughout a season, he was the architect of his own downfall. The fact he couldn't change and couldn't improve the squad after spending huge amounts showed us he took us as far as he can and that's fine.
@@Al-nm3io why would a manager plan for the future? He will be out of a job long before those plans come good. Interesting that no one is praising Tim's signings this summer. maybe he isn't the transfer Messiah that some think he is
Well, he’s not got any managerial work to be doing, has he? Any millions he has were paid for work done - he was out of contract and turned down a new one, he didn’t hit the jackpot with a payoff
His goals per 90 was lower at Real Madrid and Sevilla than Moyes was at West Ham. He was clearly never the right person. He's a worse version of Moyes but because he's Spanish people thought he was going to be fancy
Ah mate, you know absolutely nothing. We wanted to try get in a manager who had a forward thinking approach. Moyes finished 14th after spending £200m, then conceded 75 goals after spending another £150m. He was done at the club, but the issue is we went and signed the Spanish version of Moyes
Hounded Moyes out for not playing the West Ham way. Moyes had a semi final one season won a European trophy the following season and then another quarter final in Europe the fans thought they were bigger than they were and now are paying the karma
Opposition fans who come out with comments like that are missing the bigger picture of what was happening with Moyes. Sure, he had a semi-final, a European trophy, and a quarter-final under his belt, and we appreciate the cup. But it wasn't just about results-it was about the style of football and the long-term direction of the club. Moyes’ approach was often negative, overly defensive, and went against what many fans see as the "West Ham way"-a more attacking, entertaining style of football. Even when we were grinding out results, the football was hard to watch at times. There were long spells where we looked lost, unable to control games, and his reluctance to adapt or bring in fresher ideas frustrated many of us We didn't think we were "bigger" than we are; we just knew we could be more than a team that sits back and hopes for a counterattack. It wasn’t just about trophies, it was about the kind of football we were playing. Fans had legitimate concerns about where the club was heading under Moyes, and that’s why there was pressure to make a change. It’s not about karma-it’s about trying to move forward with a clearer vision for the club. On top of that, Moyes rarely gave opportunities to younger players or freshened up the squad. Youth development has always been a key part of West Ham’s identity, with the club having a proud history of bringing through talented young players. Under Moyes, we didn’t see much progress on that front, with him often relying on older, more established players. This was another frustration-there was no sense of building for the future. and more
Why do you point out the good and not the bad? Hardly balanced. We conceded an average of 2 goals a game under Moyes last season. The season before, we scraped survival and lost 20/38 league games.
Moyes was awful but we can't attract top quality managers and that is why Moyes had two stints. When I say we, I mean David Sullivan. I hope the manager turns it around but ultimately, we are a mid table premier League side that occasionally punches above our weight and we need to realise that if we get rid of Loppy, another middle of the road manager will be employed.
Every1 saying how good Moyes was.. we lost 5-0 at fulham last yr, 5-2 to palace, 6-0 to arsenal, 5-1 liverpool, 5-2 villa, 5-0 chelsea.. but because he won conference league against AZ and fiorentina 2 yrs ago he shouldve kept the job forever? Do one.
Under Moyes we had the worse defense last season apart from the 3relegated sides, he didn't use subs or give youth a chance. For example we were 5-0 down to chelsea last season, instead of bringing the likes of cresswell and Antonio, give the youth a go give us something different. He kept doing the same thing over and over again. He also squandered money, on players. Last season we lost 5-0 to Chelsea and Fulham, 6-0 to Somalia FC, 5-2 to Palace. Set up defensively against lesser teams. We even struggled against Kidderminster in the cup. Moyes time was to go, he took the team has far he can go. But no fan wanted flopetegui if he was the only option we would have kept the jock.
Not a fan, but have to say what did JL achieve in order to get this job ? 1 year at Wolves - walked out 2 weeks before start of new season. I'd have thought WH would have been looking for better.
West Ham getting what they deserve. What a joke of a club! They moan cuz Moyes didn't have them play the West Ham way 🤣🤣🤣. What is that way exactly?!!!! He won them their first trophy in how many years? And a European trophy. He had them finish in respectable league positions. Okay, so they didn't play the most attractive football at times but it got them a trophy and premier league security. On their day they were a match for many a good team. I hope West Ham get relegated!!!
Curtis Stones didn’t know what to do once he was free on goal. Deer in headlights. Shoot early, pass or dribble past the keeper. Instead he does nothing but collide.
I hate this argument about 'new to the club' they are professional players and all they have to do is run in a little area of the pitch they are told to run in.
The only contract he’s been offered is doing TV work - if he’d been offered a Premier League gig he’d have snapped someone’s arm off I suppose Saints might blink and offer him a way in but it’ll end up like Sunderland - a job that gets erased from the media’s collective memory, along with Sociedad
You can say all you want about david moyes but at least when he was playing a defensive style, the team acted like they were together. There was a bit of heart which gave the fans something to hold on to.
So many people were getting excited about West Ham's recruitment during the summer transfer window, but i was never convinced myself,it doesn't seem balanced with players to fit a system,no strategy,no clue & a club that's going to struggle with a manager that wasn't what the fans were looking for, piss poor alround really. 💩⚽👎
I no Hammers fan, but my late dad was, born stones throw great Boleyn Ground. Apart from Greenwood and Lyall eras, Moyes is only manager win you a major trophy. Moyes may had defensive mindset but at least club was hard to beat. Old adage, be careful what you wish for.
Right so never ever would we have moyes back. He had to go so don't even waste time saying it. As for this new guy he needs to do some asap to save his job
The midfield is miles too slow for the league , changing manager will make no difference , Recruitment is to blame and if he has the final say then whats the point of this director role ? Its a shambles .
Moyes es at the right club at the Right time, we had some great players and he played them out of position, and the money he wasted was a joke, ,and the way he treated scamma was a disgrace
Imagine having the same fwilure mentality as the caller!! Jees, im shocked he learnt how to walk, cus they way hes talking, its shocking he didnt give up learning to walk after the first time of falling down!!! Things take time to fix, theres no cheat code or an option to turn like on to amateur mode!!! Keep hiring and firing managers, keep bringing and selling players, eo ya have a mixed snd matched squad of players, thwtll be useless for any manager to use effectively!!! Its like the spammers wanna get relegated again!!! Keep sacking ya manager after 7 games.......4 managers a year, wholl need paying off with that glorious championship money!!! Be careful of what ya wish for!!
@yunoyuluvit Yes for certain and fans need to understand they may have input into getting a manager out but will have ZEROOOO input in bringing a manager in so will run the risk of getting a big turkey, and this Turkey isn't going anywhere anytime soon unless westham are facing relegation so sit tight.
Looks like poor and uninspired leadership from the boardroom, absolutely no ambition and this is coming from a villa fan who has seen far too much poor ownership until now
Stelling is a short, orange rentagob that pretends he knows what he’s talking about because he has ex-football mates. If he had a fight with Sullivan it would look like two kids having a ruck in a playground
“Celebrated him leaving”, what a horrible thing to say about one of the club’s greatest ever managers! 👎🏻 Christ knows how badly you would’ve John Lyall’s departure after he relegated the club for a 2nd time.
@@carlcorver you’ve finished 9th 7th 6th under Moyes and had 3 consecutive campaigns in Europe with a semifinal and final win and a quarter final The other league position were 14th 16th and 17th with the the 17th position year coming in the same year as winning the cup so he had 2 bad seasons for league position with one of those seasons winning a European cup so if that what you think is good riddance the fan base are worse than I thought
Too right we’d moan about Benitez, exactly the profile Sullivan looks for - out of work, out of touch and with a big job on the CV regardless of how that went
