How much is it for a single AR Timer? I’m looking to purchase one in a few weeks but am wondering how much they are?

The blower is a super compressor for the siren. The ACA Hurricane also uses a blower just like the Thunderbolt but they both use different kinds of blowers that work on the same principle. What the blower does is it amplifies the chopper which is the actual siren that spins and makes the sound by pushing a lot of air through a stand pipe into the chopper assembly making the sound louder. Both the Thunderbolts and the Hurricanes are called "Super-charged sirens" since they require using a special compressor to boost sound output. Without the blower, the siren would not even be able to be heard a quarter of a mile away and would be considered useless as an outdoor warning siren. Most mechanical sirens are built-in sirens that use an air intake to suck air in the provide proper sound output but Thunderbolts and Hurricanes lack that so they both use separate parts needed to be used as a outdoor mass notification. Electronic sirens on the other hand use powerful speaker drivers wired to strong amplifiers inside the controller for sound output.

Yeah I remember that too. I'm actually still in the process of learning more about the details of sirens and such. I also found out that it seems 5M blowers don't have that cooling rib or whatever that grooved thing is called that runs down the center of the blower. 6Ms and 4Ms have those but the 5M photos I've seen including the one on Northville's 1000 doesn't have that.

When I visited WSS back in 2013 and 2012, that same Thunderbolt was still laying there.

@@MasenMonster It's hard to tell if that drive motor did power a 6M or a 5M. I apparently was looking too much at the drive motor's at WSS themselves instead of the blower itself and I assumed that I found a few 5Ms but they turned out to be 4Ms thanks to Thunderbolt10031 helping me tell the difference. I originally thought that all A2 4Ms always used that grooved pattern design on their drive motors but that didn't really matter. The size of the blower is probably what you would have to look at to tell. Plus, I also found out that 5Ms don't have that cooling rib down the center of the blower case. 6Ms and 4Ms seem to, though.

One of those 612 was from Hidden Valley IN. I have plans of buying that siren in the future.
