Funny thing, the Yellow Model X at 28:55 use to have the bottom shroud for my GDC on it, but I put the yellow bottom shroud on in place for the one I took. But yea, they should definitely treat some of those Model Xs and Bolts in the way back better. Shame to see the 1003s from Canton in such bad shape. Probably gonna suck it up next summer and buy one of the heads from Canton.
1:17 Pretty sure that 2001-SRN came from Mason, OH. It was replaced by a 2001-130 in February. That 89 head may have come from Mason as well. They were doing a system upgrade and ripped the controls out along with the heads.
I would love to visit this place!.. I would so buy that first banshee/banshees rotor and stator or one of the others or the model 2 or something else to bring back with me!! :)
I would love to get a tour at Westshore, I would love to see an EOWS in real life! Sadly, I live all the way in North Carolina, and this is all the way in Allendale, MI so it would be quite a long trip for me.
I'm from Kentucky so the closest thing I will probably ever get to see to WSS is the siren staging area for my county's new siren system. It must be so incredibly awesome there
Oh wait yours is much newer. Do they still have siratone cabinets? If so, how much would they cost? Could I carry it by myself? Could I just drop by unannounced or do I have to schedule a visit? Watched the video. They have some. Now I need prices and sizes
if you went like roughly 2 months earlier they probably would have had Carnation WAs Tolt Dam Warning System or Tolt River Reservoir Warning System upgrades, a 6024-B & 4 3012-B's which were installed July of 2022, there is also a bit of a story goin on with them too. Seattle Public Utilities or SPU ended up removing those heads and slapping some 8032-Bs in their place instead because they weren't loud enough for indoor warning, which is just SPU being pretty stupid as usual this time for replacing the almost perfect working Analog 2800s (the 2808 had radio issues) with crummy Mods when they could've saved money and time by just upgrading the controllers and drivers on the 2800's. The Pierce County Emergency Management Director even stated that the Mt Rainier LAHAR Sirens (Gen 2 8032-Bs and every type of Gen 1 Mod excluding 3024s and 6032s) are not meant for indoor warning. And like a month and a half ago a FS employee accidently caused a false alarm and now the mods are STILL inactive even after the investigation was finished on April 19th (it's May 8th as of commenting this) leaving alternative warnings the only warning.
@@Chevy_Camaroz28 no. As he said, the 5m types don't have the small line of metal down the middle of the blower like the 4ms do. Notice how the intake on the one he is confused on is much smaller than that of a 4m intake. 5m blowers have smaller intakes. Dan also noticed that the blower was larger than the other 4m types he saw, which the 5m is larger
