Born and raised Montanan and I’m here tell you guys, this is pure love for the hunt. Hear that wind? I don’t even hunt elk in wind like that and it’s the elk hunting that keeps me here (mostly). Haven’t got into hunting wolves but this guy is putting fire under my ass to do so. His Muley hunts are some of the best as well.
Its the second day of deer season here, the U.P. of Michigan, and the deer are gone thanks to the wolf population. Eight years ago, when it was getting bad, i would hear about a dozen shots on opening day, now its one or two, some frustrated hunter shooting a scolding squirrel. All we can do is sit back and let it happen. During peak rut, about a week ago, one of my friends fathers sat in his blind for 11 days and didn't see one deer, not a doe, fawn, nothing.
@@krtong Six hundred says the DNR. The DNR's guesstimation of the number of deer that live in the relatively contained 16,377 mile area where I live is somewhere around 136,000 to less than 100,000. If you took a mile walk, in any direction, from where I am sitting right now, or anytime of year, you would see more wolf activity than deer activity. .12 deer per square mile and .03 wolf's per square mile. How can there be so much visible wolf activity and such little deer activity? One hundred and thirty six thousand deer compared to six hundred wolf's? I just can't believe the bureaucrats anymore.
In Europe just a couple of years ago people were outraged when independent wildlife biologists recommended the management of wolves. Now that it has been monitored that 1 european wolf is responsible for a minimum of 4 farm animal kills per year - laws have been changed quickly and everbody calls for reduction. And now they reproduce faster than they are extracted. People should have listened to the true experts earlier and not to the garden plot ecologists. Great video btw.
Nice.....👌👌 Damn it sounds could Ps.. Don't mind the negative comments there still trying to figure out or they are male or female or what the hell Evers in between... Nice work!!
Yes, I feel sorry for wolf. but given the fact that wolves are now at the top of the food chain without other predators, Human being are the only ones who can control wolf population and keep the nature in balance.
With Wolves 🐺 doing as much damage to the wildlife resources the wildlife management offices should give the hunters that get Elk, Mule Deer, moose and bear tags a free wolf tag in those hard stricken areas.
Wolves actually help the earth from over population u know what humans are doing over hunting yes wolves are naturally part of the circle of life we are not
Great video guys! I have taken several wolves who have come to my coyote calls over the last several years. Come in just like a coyote. . Where is this?
Anyone else having problems setting their notifications for the channel? I’m able to view the videos and stay subscribed but RU-vid isn’t allowing me to set the notification bell to “ALL”. Awesome video guys and killer double! 💪🏻🐺☠️
@Michael J. - Yeah, something about the content here supposedly not being viewer-friendly for younger audiences, or something to that effect, if I recall correctly. Frustrating.
Last year I had a black wolf the size of one just like you hat alpha symbol-- he was just watching me on a ridge sitting and I walking 90 yards away he got up and zig zag towards me I had a elk antler on my back pack and I was limping a little from my tired hip-- think he thought I was a wounded elk. For ten minutes he just followed me--- awesome huge black wolf think coat.
@@lorineuman7260 you poor misinformed sheeple, we're not opposed to having wolves around, we're opposed to the surplus killing of wildlife and livestock. When the wolves kill so many elk that the fawn recruitment isn't enough to maintain the herd survival then they need to be managed just like every other game species.
@@yeetedpossum hi mate. You can still hunt in U.K. and you can buy weapons but no handguns. I don’t do much hunting now cos I have shot all the species from royal stags to gold medal sika. And same in South Africa. My cousin has hunting ground up north Scotland 🏴 could probably fix you up sometime. . Regards Les.
Why is everyone putting down the lady’s shooting? By the looks of the weather and the sound of the wind, it’s pretty dang cold out. Not all Weapons are very accurate in cold weather. The both of them were probably out there for a long time, so exhaustion, cold, excitement and anxiety all play a factor. Let’s see videos of you hunting in those temperatures, same weapon and ammunition and see how accurate you are. JUST SAYING
@@bertcremers3134 the wind is howling right from the start of the video. Not sure how you don’t hear it. My point is, that the best hunter could have missed a shot if not several as well.
@@Jdh07 I have shot deer taken their heart out and they ran 100 yards. They just didn't know they were dead. Pos vermin wolves need to be shot on sight.
@@kurtsvensson4362 But this is not a real job. This is a bad hobbie. They dont really need to kill wolfs to survive. Or, does somebody pays for that ? O dont think so man!
@@sergiomunozchavez9114 No. They do need to kill wolves to survive. Wolves kill livestock so it is a necessary thing. I also wouldn’t be surprised if a farmer or land owner did pay them to hunt. Get your facts right next time before making another stupid comment.
@No Time To Explain ._. I ain't no stupid I never said it's cruel But we killed enough of them Dont kill them just for money or fur ya know money doesent bring ya happiness It brings more animals down
