For cleaning purposes, I would keep them on for 5-7 days. I store them in my shed in such a way as to keep wax moth out. I have a video coming up soon about that.
Put wet supers out on something high, discovered there boxes were on the ground fox had got in knocked them over then the badgers came along and ripped the frames out of the boxes broken comb everywhere it was the badgers saw there muddy paw prints on the side of the boxes. The thing is you don't want badgers to get a taste of honey it's like a drug to them they will look everywhere for more honey even stiff around the hives.
Great video…. I am in a similar situation but placed all my wet suppers and evenly distributed them on my hives. The issue I have now, is they repaired all the frames but are now starting to put nectar back… I might get lucky and get another extraction…. My question to you is, you mentioned you are taking some wet suppers back to the house… how do you store the wet suppers??? TIA
