Similar comment on da music* Don't get me started on chemtrails : or do # unbelievable lack of control/common sense relating to the law concerning "ANYONE !!?" can empty ANYTHING into Earth's atmosphere and not have to state exactly what it is ; or their reasons for doing it . I've witnessed 1000 warm clear mornings , blue skies , no cloud cover , be turned into cool hazy messes before 11am . It is deliberate and systematic . Like someone mowing a lawn - strip by strip , aircraft on same trajectory a mile or so apart gradually fogging out the sky . It bothers me enormously . Adz .
Hey Eric, I'm in my 60's and pre-Covid would see a band as often as possible, also still buy new music on a regular basis. I started seeing bands at 4 with the Beatles (courtesy of my parents). It's so important to learn about music at a young age and always have open ears to new music. :)
Who said music even had to be mature? You’re going to seriously limited yourself in life by shutting yourself down to the natural evolution of music and performance. It’s human expression, move on if you don’t like it.
Can the sound engineer at green man explain this wizardry, so we can pass it on to the world 🙏 As so many concerts sound dull & lack luster, this guy/team are amazing👊
I think the lyric ''Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin/worry your mother?'' has to be one of the finest lyrical lines I've heard in quite some time. They seem to be having genuinely good fun performing, and that's always nice to see.
@@bamboozla9977 it's just funny, I like thoughtful poetry, Tom waits, Nick Drake, Mars volta, etc. And I find this lyrics funny and cool af, I don't know why... Not like I'm position to say anything about lyrics. But it does not have to be about standards, them apathetic, uninterested way of expressing this dumb thoughts is great. You should get a chaise longue and get horizontal
I was lucky enough to be there near the front and also to have caught them a few weeks prior when they (I think) first played this song live. I'd never heard their music before, but the infectious joy of their whole live set was life affirming. They've enough songs like this for an album and with Dan Carey on board (certainly for their next single and hopefully an upcoming album), I fully expect that joyful vibe to come across on record too.
Agreed. I came across this link on a Go-Go's Fan Page on FB and it thrills me to see young women taking up the baton and continuing with edgy musicianship and unapologetically kick-ass!
I think the struggle was less with the absurdity of the lyrics and more to do with the absurdity of singing "I went to school and I got the Big D" to a tent full of children. And their grandparents.
I caught their set along with this session. The tent was packed. I literally couldn't see them from inside the tent. I met them afterwards and they were genuinely lovely people. Didn't get a photo but they did sign a program. They're going places, I can feel it
I love how they're all struggling to not bust up giggling during this song, as if they only just NOW realized how silly, goofy, and suggestive the lyrics are.
Taking a moment to appreciate the fella with the rainbow jumper lifting his hat with joy at the end. People like that are incredible when you're performing
I agree, there's that hint of the fall that he just would love. But, you say the words are intelligible, sure, but where does the innuendo begin and end? Is there any?
the post-punk revival coming from the UK/Ireland has been solid all around: IDLES, Fontaines DC, Black Country New Road, Squid, Shame, Black Midi, i think Protomartyr and Algiers could be lumped into that
Way more common than you'd think. I mean, tbh, even Katy Perry can play the guitar adequately. There are huge metal scenes, punk scenes and indie scenes around the world. Maybe search some new stuff.
Love it. However i reckon they should play the personas from the official videos. The straight faceness whilst playing this absurd brilliant song works.
Well, to be fair the front row has several little children so im sure that was a bit awkward. Especially considering there parents were likely right next to them. I'm not sure I could sing those lyrics without laughing. That took compsosure.
I'm not your demographic at the ripe age of 59, but I sing this song while driving all the time (XMU). People probably just think I'm having a stroke. Thanks for the happy place.
I love this. I've listened to it like nine times today. It totally reminds me of the 70s punk scene with The Talking Heads, Blondie and the Ramones. This is some of the best rock and roll I've heard in a long time.
You guys are so brilliant. Its so good to hear music that's in the same vain as the early 90s indie. Thank God and at last, awesome artists. Can't wait for the album.✌
1-2 Freddy's cheering for you, 3-4 he's got a beard now, but then doesn't everybody, weird though as you'd think his burns would prevent him from growing one (I'm still working on that second part, but I think I'm heading in the right direction, feels good... catchy)
@UGHI70 I’m glad Freddy had fun and didn’t kill anyone! Maybe one day I’ll make it to the Island Of White Until then, maybe they can play the Isle of Lucy festival!
You guys just cheered me up ~ made me laugh even . I wonder now how you managed not to crack up when you shot the vid . Defo my fave tune at the mo . Hilarious*
@EndofMusic Ah, sorry to hear that, boss...wishing you all the best with it. Thanks for uploading the Pixies demos btw...Kilburn National on a steamy July night 1989 was the best gig i ever saw.
What I love about these two and this song is just how.....British it is. Two really nice looking girls with amusingly mucky lyrics. It's the most British thing ever.
I've never heard of them and the only reason I clicked on this was because, at a distance, the icon for this video looked exactly like Greta flipping Thunberg... smiling. Surely not possible I thought and I was right. Anyway, glad I came 'cos this is great.
