Very true! I usually find videos like this boring because they’re so perfect but she has such a nice voice and she tells the truth about what it’s like to cook that I enjoy them so much!
Don't give up on the bacon pan! I bought this same set up before I found out that lining that pan with foil and letting it bake in its own grease helps it crisp up and cook faster! Also you can let the grease cool and throw it out or manipulate the foil to funnel it into a jar for later.
I am obsessed with your videos! I'm from Holland and it is fun to see how different the dishes are. You have a calm and relaxing voice that is lovely to listen to! Thank you for your recipes and the entertainment :)
Ground chuck and ground beef are basically the same thing. Chuck just is a particular cut of beef and tends to be fattier. I put pieces of bread on top of my meatloaf while it’s cooking to absorb the extra grease. Great way to use the crust ends of bread that nobody likes!
Use Kingsford charcoal and Kingsford lighter fluid, it takes a lot of charcoal enough to almost come to the grill rack, squirt lighter fluid all over the charcoal then light immediately then wait until charcoal turns white all over then cut a medium onion in half, make crisscross pattern with a knife and stick a fork in the onion and clean your racks while over the heat then place your seasoned chicken on the grill and cover wirh lid and cook for 2 to 3 hours
I am always surprise at ppl being scared of using alcohol in dishes, my nana , mama and me couldn't live with out vodka, wine and bourbon in the kitchen lol...oh and Rum at Christmas for rum balls those are a different story lol...me being Italian was brought up with many dishes requiring alcohol it's was just normal!! Glad you loved your Vodka sauce!!!!
Ground chuck comes from the front of shoulders of the cow, whereas ground beef is a mixture of meat leftover after cutting it up into various roasts/steaks.
yeah it's just ground beef from a specific cut of the cow. it's basically a ground up chuck roast. hard to find ground chuck any more, supermarkets here always just have the general ground beef.
Ground chuck is the beef that comes from front beef shoulders. On the other hand, ground beef is the leftover pieces after cutting the beef into roasts and steaks. This means that ground chuck comes from a particular part or from a special cut whereas ground beef comes from many parts or from other different cuts.
I'm not a meatloaf fan but I am gonna try yours. Everyone has to sneak in peppers and I can't stand them. I never even liked my mom's and she didn't use peppers cause no matter what she tried sneaking them into I could still smell them. Anyway thanks for the recipe ideas. Hope you have a Great day! ❤
Yum - the vodka pasta looks really good. I had an “Every Plate” meal similar to that where you sautéed the tomato paste and such. They didn’t add vodka but they added cream cheese instead of milk and WOW. It was so good. I think sautéing the paste and the garlic just brings it to another level!
I recommend buying a cheap chicken stand for making chicken cooked upright season it with what you like and then take a half a beer in a can adding some onions and garlic lemon Etc. And then cook it on the closed Grill. That have can of beer helps to steam the inside of the chicken but the chicken doesn't need to sit on the beer can it can sit on the stand and usually you can get two or three at Amazon for a cheap price and they are quality stainless steel. You can also do the same thing in the oven. :-)
Good girl ! Always use pasta water it helps the sauce stick to the pasta, also the vodka will burn off if you just let it simmer on slow ! This is a staple “Italian NY” dinner ! Your meal will NOT taste like vodka at all !! 🌺
I make beer can chicken all summer long and it always takes around 2.5 hours to cook. I have a timer set for every 30 minutes and I go out there based the chicken with olive oil and seasoning
Everything looks delish. Another idea for that gray goose - fruit punch, ice, vodka, blender and you’ve got the party started. And if you want to get fancy, add in frozen strawberries and use less ice. TY for more dinner ideas.
I feel you with the struggle girl!! And then being hangry!!! But that chicken looked so good!! Great idea with the Taco Meatloaf!! Eveeything looks so good!! Tfs
Very nice variety of recipes. I really enjoyed watching. I'm the same way when it comes to onions. I guess it's a texture thing but I won't use raw onion in anything I make. I do like the flavor and I will add onion powder when I cook a dish. I like your idea of blending the salsa. I do the same thing with Ro*tel before I add it to anything. Grilling a whole chicken is tricky. It was smart to take it to the oven. You probably still got grill flavor which added to your final result. Thanks for sharing!
Vodka sauce even at a restaurant is always smooth I don't know where you got the idea that it's got a lot of onions in it but it has none. It's a smooth creamy sauce no matter where it's served or if it's made at home.
Everything looks amazing! I've been wanting to make a beer can chicken, I think that might be on my menu for next week. my family has a recipe for vodka sauce, we use basically everything you used, but add a can of whole peeled tomatoes. Let that simmer for 30 minutes, add vodka and cream, then take an immersion blender to everything. bring to a boil and then let simmer while the penne cooks (about 10 minutes) the longer you let it simmer, the less vodka you taste. Also, Tito's is the best to use for vodka sauce!
I definitely will be trying the cheese 🧀 meatloaf this week!😋😋 Thank you for taking the time to share these Yummy looking recipes!!👍👍 Really enjoyed!💞💞
I've made beer butt chicken a bunch of times. It usually takes me about 2 hours and 15 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes with a completely thawed chicken. Also they make a holder, I got mine at Walmart for the can and the chicken. It makes it easier to get it to stand up on the grill. 🙂
I make my grilled cheese with the same technique. Trying to put butter on the bread slice just pulls and tears it. Edit to add that I made your sausage gravy this past weekend and we LOVED IT.
Do you hate the flavor of onion or just the texture of bigger pieces of onion? Bc they add a lot of flavor to dishes. I personally don’t mind them but when I cook with them I add them to a mini food chopper and almost liquify them. They are so fine and smooth you can’t tell. Love your videos 💕
GREAT video and DEEE-LICIOUS recipes!! I also have been holding back on making my own Vodka sauce and I do not like the jarred, BUT after watching your vid and seeing how easy your recipe is, I will absolutely be trying it out. I Love Penne in Vodka Sauce. And, please, Keep on keepin it real!! It is truly appreciated. Thanks loads for sharing. Arlene
Wrap the chicken in tinfoil flip every 15-20 min for like hr and 15 min or check temp. You also.can do in your air fryer if it fits LargeFamilyLove is where I learned. I did it on grill tho for now becuz my air fryer is to small to fit a chicken ❤❤
I have the same problem trying to cook chicken on a grill. I just stick to the oven! Lol. Because I want to know that it’s completely done! Everything looks delicious! Hope you have a wonderful week!
I hate onions too so I am so happy to finally find a vodka pasta recipe without them. Love the tomato paste too cause I hate tomatoes😅 Being picky is hard, but someone has to do it.
I've never had vodka sauce. It isn't common in restaurants where I live. I assumed it would have a more pronounced vodka taste (not something I want) and would be complicated to make. I'll have to try that recipe this week. I happen to have all of the ingredients on hand. Don't you love when that happens? 😀
Hmmmm vodka pasta. Never would have thought about a sauce with that, I might have to try that one. I’m always on the hunt for new recipes for my family.
Hey beautiful I love your videos, wanted to let you know the difference between the ground beef or ground chuck is the amount of fat that is in it. You can google it and it will tell you the difference of them. Hope this was helpful.
That meatloaf looks delicious! We have a beer can chicken holder that we use to keep the chicken upright; the flavor is incredible. I have never made vodka sauce for the very reason you hadn't; I will have to give it a try. Thanks for another wonderful video!
Will you be using the vodka amount the recipe calls for next time? I haven’t made this in years and forgot about it but I remember it was delicious! Thanks girl!
Hi Kristin. I am really enjoying your videos. Love your China. What are your favorite web sites for recipes? Looking forward to trying more. I’ve tried two, sausage gravy and million dollar chicken casserole. Both were great. Thank you so much for your inspiration. You’re a life saver.
Ok now I'm gonna try lemon pepper on a tomato!! 🙂 Also, I love beer can chicken!!!!! My dad used to put them on a hickory fire when we lived on our farm when I was little!!!
You are the first youtuber that I've seen that cooks without onions. I hate onions! And EVERYBODY uses them. I always have to adjust recipes. Im so glad you dont like them. Lol. All your recipes looks like things that my family woukd actually eat! Thank you!
