My oldest uncle on mom's side was a Valentine baby, my aunt was born on Presidents Day, my mom on April Fool's Day, and their other brother was born one day shy of the 4th. Grandpa was 3 days from SPD and my grandma's birthday fell around Easter. They actually made the paper because apparently that's rare.
I was just recommended your channel today and watched for the first time. I enjoyed your video, not too long and some interesting recipe ideas, I went ahead and subscribed and will also be catching up on previous videos.
Today is my brother's 54th birthday, Maegan. He's in Virginia and I'm in Georgia. I'm having baked pork chops, scalloped potatoes, collard greens and rolls tonight and tomorrow night.
Everything looks so delicious 😋 I love your deviled egg container. I'm telling my age, because I still the one my mother got from Tupperware. The dogs look adorable... thanks for sharing ❤
Everything looked delicious as always! I am really interested to try that recipe for the ouzi rice! Happy belated birthday to your dad, and I hope that you guys had a great Fourth of July!
Thank you for sharing Maegen have a blessed day stay safe and healthy . Salmon patties are yummy I made some last week I always add chopped green peppers and onions and Italian breadcrumbs , I use the salmon in the can no bones or skin so much easier than the big cans with the bones and skin. I love your pea salad yummy. 😋😋😋🙏❤🙏❤🙏
Hi Maegan. I’m really impressed with how you’re venturing out and trying different cuisines. Everything always looks so good and you make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing.🤗💕
I have what seems like a zillion hotdog buns leftover from a camping trip. I now have an alternative use for them, will definitely be trying the copycat McRib's!
I never think to season my salads either when I make them myself, I should try that though because now that I think about it my favorite packaged salad does come with a seasoning packet. The spread for you dad’s birthday/4th of July looks so good and I love seeing the picture of the fur babies!
You always do a nice variety of meals. Not all fancy, and sometimes pizza delivery, but always a few home cooked, and different ones. One of my favorite channels. It always kind of cracks me up that certain dishes we have our own way and a stubbornness about. Meatloaf, spaghetti, chili, potato salad, deviled eggs are a few. I always want to say not just to you but to any channel NO that is not how you make that and MY MOM's is the BEST, etc. and she doesn't do it that way or that mine is best. I suspect others often feel the same. We really all do have our ways of doing our family's or everyone's classics and all differ, at least somewhat. I have a few things I have never made and tater salad is one. The reason? Everyone in my family asks my mom to make it as it cannot be outdone. For any gathering it is hey mom, can you do the tater salad? One of my siblings or I should really make it with mom or watch her so that at least one of us know how to make the absolutely best tater salad on earth. I make the best deviled eggs. I also have never made pie crust. Because? Again my mom's cannot be topped for the best, the flakiest, etc. Sadly even she is now using frozen :( I should have learned hers... Some of her things I feel I have improved on some, meatloaf and tater soup. And chili. But they are still close to hers (well except for the tater soup. I make the best deviled eggs. My two sisters make the best Calico beans. Another sister rocks on desserts and cakes, etc. and homemade creamed corn. Etc., etc. I'm sure yours were yummy, you just make them wrong lol. Seriously though, nice spread for the 4th and your dad's birthday. I'd likely never make salmon patties nor the mediterranean dish but I still enjoy watching such and the variety. I have branched out over what I used to make and I experiment with Asian a lot, Thai and Chinese, etc. Sweet and sour also and more. Great video, sorry for long post, just wanted to say hey and that I love your videos and ideas.
Thank you ❤️. I totally agree. I think when it comes to food, what we are used to is the “right” way to us. And I’m the same way, if there’s a certain dish someone has perfected, I usually don’t try it myself because I don’t think I can make it anywhere near as good as they do. Thanks for watching!
Hi Maegen! I was just looking in my pantry yesterday & I didn’t realize that I had several cans of salmon so I’m excited to see salmon patties in your video! Everything looks delicious! 😋
Hi Maegan. I saw on your meal plan a couple of weeks ago, ground orange chicken and I was intrigued. I haven't seen it in your what's for dinner videos, did I miss it? If so, please point me in the right direction on where to see it. I wanted to see it so I could try it, it sounded delicious. Thanks.
I’m so sorry. No, you didn’t miss it. I ended up having to use the ground chicken I purchased for it and forgot to add it to the next meal plan. Here’s a link to the recipe I’m planning on trying: bakemesomesugar.com/ground-orange-chicken/
Personally I think it lacks anything BBQ sauce about it. Don't know that tomato products or regular BBQ would go well with the peaches, but probably would ore maybe use a BBQ rub or spice in it. It probably needed some zestiness, some zip? Also did the honey overwhelm the peaches? It is very sweet too and has its own very distinct flavor. Just some thoughts. When you first mentioned it, I thought it would be more of an actual BBQ sauce with peaches in it.
That's what I thought it would be too. It's been a while so I don't remember exactly if it needed some zestiness. I think next time I'd like to try making more of a BBQ sauce with pureed peaches like you mentioned
