My now departed little dog would always always choose a little pebble from the beach when we went there ! We still have her collection under our couch, its a bit like her memorial ! Still miss that little pup !!
😂 A rock. I expected it to be something alive. My lab brings in random things from time to time but the baby bunny that she unleashed in our house has to be the top of the list. In case anyone is worried, the baby bunny is fine and back outside living under the shed where it belongs. She "soft" carried it until she came in and I asked her what's in her mouth. Then she let it loose in the house. She was really proud of herself.
@@WhydoIsuddenlyhaveahandle Wow. You are a pet person then 😊. Nice to meet one of my type. What about your family? They join-in with this petting commitment?
A lot of dogs lack "theory of mind" which allows one to distinguish what someone else likely does and does not know. I think this may just be a function of us seeming like sorcerers to dogs.. they probably find it safer to assume we always know what they know.
@@paullamb1100Totally agree with you, dogs are stupider than they seem to be, this is obvious when you just start training your dogs and you watch them from "afar", if they can't see you, they're most likely to do whatever they're taught not to; it probably happened in this video, that dog was has been taught to not pick up things from the floor and he did it when his owner wasn't looking and he would have stay like that if it weren't for his stupidity. At least he knows what he gotta do, now it's time tolet him now how idiotic they're.
@@Qhari-vj7yp Yeah, dogs sure aren't smart-smart. They don't pass the mirror test. Even the "smartest" dogs on Earth just happen to be very trainable, which isn't a measure of intelligence.
When you get the noise of something hard against the teeth, then you know you can put a bare hand into the mouth without fear of finding a dead mouse or bird. 😂😂😂
I'd rsther be afraid he's got something in his mouth that can sting, bite or anything like that. My cats sometimes bring home little snakes. They are not dangerous here but I'd rather not have anything similar on my hand just because I wanna take it out of his mouth. For this reason my dogs always learn a command to spit it out, in return they get a treat. You just need to keep an eye on whether they start picking up everything just for you to give them a treat in return. Mine tried, they even picked the same thing up over and over again to force me to give them a treat 😂
@@TheMisterGuyCan't really tell the difference in male/female dogs tbh. Their sexual dimorphism isn't so different (compared to us for example) sans genitals.
❤ if they can do so much with just their eyes and eyebrows, imagine what they could have done if they could speak? The world would have been a peaceful place. "The meek shall inherent the world", surely means them. God Bless them.
You really think the dog is stupid enough that it would accidentally hurt itself eating something that isn't food, or that dogs can't be depressed enough to act out? This is the dog equivalent of a fidget spinner except you're holding onto something solid because it makes you feel secure.
@@misteral9045 Yes. Plenty of dogs end up with bowel obstructions or perforated stomachs/colons because of eating rocks. Do not just let your dog do whatever it wants. Dogs are stupid.
@@Happytravellerkimmy So you just accept that as normal, or do you think something is up with the dog that would make it self harm like that? Basically an eating disorder.
My lab tells on himself all the time too.😂 i always know right away when he does something because he gets those panic eyes and lowers his head. Dogs are so perfect😊
I've dated four people who couldn't sleep unless they had their weighted security blanket. It was always trauma or loneliness related when I asked why.
Harper was sooooo proud of that rock! It was chosen so it's definitely NOT just a rock. It's a treasure. Hey, I watched one video that included humans trying to get something out of their furbaby's mouth. They were determined but chaos ensued when a good-sized mouse jumped from their dog's mouth and ran down the hall. At least a rock will not eat through wiring and cause a house fire. (Love that precious face! And those soulful eyes!)
Now that’s really funny! 🤣🤣 Harper looked so guilty because he was harboring a rock in his mouth! A rock! I guess he couldn’t chew it like he thought he’d be able to when he got ahold of it so he was gonna wait until later on when he had some alone time to tackle it! 😂🤣🤣
@@Sheri_J Well they're not. The dog was clearly just holding it in his mouth, like a security blanket. Something solid to grip. And when you have four feet your mouth is your hand.
My dog often do this. That time I tried to take whatever it was in his mouth. Instead of a rock what I touched was a soft and slimy little frog. And let me tell you I freaked out so bad because I'm scared of frogs 😂😂
Buddy carries in half a ton of shredded bark mulch every time he's been in the yard. The curse of longhaired dachshunds. They become one with nature so quickly. His own personal gillie suit. If melty tree sap is involved shaving may be necessary to free his legs from his sides. Just all glued up.
Harper has a wonderfully expressive face. Those opening seconds are a classic example of "guilty dog" looks. Best to Harper and all the humans who love that great pup.🦮
I would not stick my hand in my dog's mouth without knowing what was in it first. My dogs have picked up all sorts of things in their mouth and tried to bring them inside: bugs, moths, a tiny toad (It was alive! I saw a wiggling foot hanging out of my dog's mouth), a baby bird, parts of a dead chipmunk, and a dead baby rabbit! I would offer a treat, and they usually would drop* the "find" in order to get the treat. *The 'trade' doesn't always work!
Mine would swallow first, then grab the treat! Better to get it out before you end up driving 2 hours in the middle of the night to the emergency room and $5000 stomach surgery!
