Today we're going to talk about tahini butter and the benefits of tahini butter.
What is tahini butter?
Tahini butter is basically ground sesame seeds.
Is tahini butter keto-friendly? Yes, it is!
Tahini butter benefits:
• It's keto-friendly
• It has a good amount of healthy fats with great protein
• It has a lot of nutrition
• It's rich in phytonutrients
• It has methionine
• It's loaded with vitamin B1, iron, zinc, copper, magnesium, and manganese
• It can help support cholesterol levels
• It can help support blood pressure
• It can help reduce anxiety
• It can help reduce dizziness
• It can help reduce headaches
I would recommend consuming tahini butter raw. That way, you get the vitamin E complex and other fat-soluble vitamins, including linoleic acid.
Different ways to consume tahini butter:
• In salad dressings
• In hummus
• Mixed in other nut butters

Leonardo Oliveira make sure to add the sauce towards the end after slightly sautéing or steaming or boiling the cauliflower, other wise the sauce will quickly dry before the cauliflower is done. The sauce is made with lemon, tahini, salt and water to taste. Some people add the non sweetened Greek or Bulgarian yoghurt to the mix. Make sure you don’t have any lumps. You can season with black pepper an cumin. You can also fry or sauté the cauliflower in ghee for more fat. If you like garlic you can add some finely minced garlic to the mix. Adding the mix towards the end helps with keeping the nutritional value as well.

I love Tahini and use it in my salad dressing. I disagree that it's bland - to me it's as strong as peanut butter, but different. I'm curious about other people's comments about seeds having anti-nutrients which concerns me because all those goodies that Dr. Berg talks about might not get absorbed. Sarah Pope (Healthy Home Economist) has a comprehensive article on sesame seeds which does not mention anti-nutrients - even though she discusses anti-nutrients in many other foods.
@littlegravitas9898
@littlegravitas9898 4 года назад
The antinutritional property of seeds tends to be found in their husks. Most tahini is made from ground, huskless seeds, so you shouldn't have any of those properties in most tahini. You can buy it when it's made with the husks, but it is a much darker brown.

Tahini has been our go to Dressing for all our daily bean and legumes salads and I also use is as a substitute for many Indian dishes like dal makhani that would otherwise use milk I don’t mix it with other nut butters Don’t do that because you’ll ruin the true flavor . It’s not bland at call You can add garlic or lemon I just add water to make it fluffy and change the texture like middle eastern falafel shops do.

Hello Dr Eric Berg! What are the combinations to avoid with tahini? I know iron-rich foods are not good to combine with calcium-rich foods so what are your recommendations for a combination that will help and not hinder the absorption of the nutrients? I used to use tahini as a base fat on vegetables and legumes to avoid using extracted fat, but now I have to rethink food combining. I would be very grateful for suggestions on balanced food combinations.

@@seemasidana2450 I can’t say it did or not, it wasn’t its purpose for me to lose weight as I was fasting, doing keto and weight training but I can say it helped my nutrition at the time and I lost 30kg in total

Very informational Video, but what is the difference between "Tahini" and "Tahini Butter"?

You should also mention the many antinutrients, aflatoxins and mycotoxins that are present in sesame seed butter (tahini)

Hello, I wonder if you would care to withdraw your statement. Being that I presume you have no evidence to back up your claim but rather a mental collection of half heard things from RU-vid.

@@Jamesnebula A survey of aflatoxins in sesame seeds imported into Khorasan Province, Iran. Hosseininia AR1, Vahabzadeh M, Rashedinia M, Riahi-Zanjani B, Karimi G. Author information Abstract Sesame seed is one of the main nutrient substances which is used in the food industries of Khorasan Razavi, Iran. Because it is likely that stored sesame seeds are contaminated with mycotoxins, the levels of aflatoxins (AF) in five lots of imported sesame seeds before their distribution to the market were studied during one year. A total of 269 sub-samples were obtained from a total of 9,321 tons of sesame seeds from five importing companies. Aflatoxins at >1 μg/kg were found in 50 % of all samples, but at low levels in most cases, which is illustrated by mean AFB1 and total AF levels of 1.25 ± 3.70 and 1.43 ± 4.38 μg/kg, respectively. A few (1.9 %) samples exceeded the National Iranian Standard maximum accepted level for AFB1 (5 μg/kg) or total AF (15 μg/kg); the maximum total AF level found in one sample was 48 μg/kg. The results indicate that the risk of a violative AF contamination in imported sesame seeds is not negligible but is currently relatively low.

@@Jamesnebula Why would i withdraw a statement that is backed by scientific evidence? But ok, since you haven't figured out how to use Google for yourself, I'll point you in the right direction. @@Jamesnebula oh and also while mr. Berg do so much good information there is still some information that i think he missed and neglected, i can't blame him, he is an MD nutritionist doctor, not a scientist. which means he will tent to tell whats good for you without telling whats bad about it (at least not in the same video). for example, he tell people to eat broccoli and cruciferous vegs telling them its good because Sulforaphane is (kinda) beneficial (in small amounts) but never tell whats will happen when you took it too much or effect of prolonged eating those vegs.
