One of the best cruises we have ever had was during covid times when Marella sailed out of Newcastle with explorer 2, it got us hooked on Marella and we"ve stayed with them ever since.
Hi Michael thanks for watching and commenting. Luckily I don’t have this problem living 20 minutes from Southampton but I am amazed that North of England does not have more Cruise ships home porting! Newcastle/Liverpool seem to have the terminal etc, when I cruise from Uk over half of ship or more is from the north, must be a reason but I don’t have the answer!
Hey both thanks for watching. I must admit I was amazed, I love the look of it!! From some people I was chatting to it’s a lot of Norwegian regulars who don’t like the new design! I can’t wait to try Norwegian next year!
@@cruisingwiththe4bs We have sailed on a few NCL ships, and it is definitely different from their other ships. It reminded us a bit of a Celebrity Edge Class style ship. I think its always difficult when cruise lines try to evolve - P & O seem to be having similar issues with Iona & Arvia which we also love, but some seem to dislike the larger, modern ships!

@@cruisingwiththe4bs We are going to Northern Europe on MSC Euribia! We haven't cruised on MSC since just after Covid, so should be an interesting experience!
Remind me never to ever read the reviews from these websites! These scores are all over the place 😂 That ancient Carnival ship shouldn’t be in the top 20 😂
🤣🤣 yes some interesting scores! I was surprised about Legend but reviews even recent are high. I was also very surprised at Norwegian as I know you rate them highly, but new ship did have a lot of bad reviews?
@@cruisingwiththe4bs I think that the Carnival Legend appeals to those who are long standing fans of the line and that’s why the reviews are good. The Prima is a very different style of ship that as you say is similar to the very popular Virgin ships but NCL loyalists aren’t happy about it.
