I never shop in these supermarkets for many reasons: they are all NOT made in Ghana and are all filled with GMO. Also I prefer to support my locals and want to live a long healthy life.

sunny days like I said, I prefer to support the women that are out there in the sun all day to support their children through school so miss me with the 5% that have the opportunity to get there goods in the supermarket
@Mr101065
@Mr101065 4 года назад
Stop being Jealous because you can't afford to buy from supermarkets in Ghana. How did you know about GMO's in food? Too known! To your information these Supermarkets you don't support also employ Ghanaians who have families to support just like the market women. Smdh!

Leonard Grant umm I can definitely afford to shop anywhere in Ghana but why pay a hefty price for food made in China when I can get real authentic right from the farm. Sweety People here in America pay a hefty price for organic foods like we have in Ghana but ignorant, uneducated people like yourself would rather patronize these “ supermarkets” be well sweety!
@Mr101065
@Mr101065 4 года назад
@@janicesorhaindo2990. This ignorant and uneducated me was born and raised in the United States. Only the uneducated and ignorant like yourself will go to a tropical country like Ghana and buy items that are suppose to not be in the sun And the unhygienic way it is handled. Why do you think that 5% you said buys from the supermarkets does? They have travelled and are not ignorant but educated. School yourself about reality. Smdh!
@janicesorhaindo2990
@janicesorhaindo2990 4 года назад
Leonard Grant again young lady, if you are Ghanian, your parents ate from these “unhygienic” markets and lived long enough to have you. Sweety I’m over 40 also born and raised in New York and when I go back HOME I still patronize these markets. Be blessed young lady

They should sell grown in Ghana fruits to help out the local farmers. After all its the Ghana people that shop in their supermarket.

Supermarket are for rich ghanains and foreigners, not for the local farmers. Moreover the price they buy it, it s so low that it will ruined the little local farmer. If you want to support local farmer, buy on the market or small shops.

They've even adopted the psychological manipulation of pricing in the west. Most of the prices end in .99 cents/pesewas because your brain processes prices like $3.00 and $2.99 as different values: To your brain $2.99 is $2.00, which is much cheaper than $3.00, therefore you're likely to spend more.

I think you said it right when you said for convenience fact is it is better to promote local food, Given Ghana has a wide variety of good local organic food, i guess i feel strongly about thouroughly promoting africa. I guess if its african products fair enough. Also local people should be encouraged to promote local for some reason we think foreign is best but i believe it boils down to what people have been exposed to or what they know.
