Norma this was simply amazing! I was shocked at all the food you ate and the things you were able to do for $40. I need to try a challenge like this when I’m in Vegas. When we go we like to live it up…
When I get to the Pinball Hall of Fame, if I find the right machine and I get my 70s pinball groove going, I'll be able to play for hours on a single quarter.
Love your videos. Do you know what your doing for Halloween yet? I know you were trying to decide between Downtown and the Strip. We are going to cheat and do both. LOL
I recently bought a three day bus pass at the airport for $20 and used it for all my transportation. Centennial Xpress bus goes to Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana and also continues directly to Downtown. Cheapest beverage, on the strip, is the Tall Arizona Iced tea for .99 at the CVS drugstore.
I hope I can remember this on next trip get back to Vegas, because I was just there for Manny's (SinCity Family) birthday, and had no idea that $40 would have been good enough to spend for the duration of my stay there. Oh well, I know now. Thanks again Norma. Keep up the good work as always! Til next time, be safe my friend.
LOVED THIS VIDEO NORMA….. RACHEL RAY DID THE FIRST $40.00 A DAY AND I NEVER MISSED AN EPISODE. YOU STILL DID IT WITHOUT MAKING UP FOR INFLATION WITH THE RIP OFF LAS VEGAS STRIP PRICES. GREAT JOB! THAT BURGER AT THE CALIFORNIA LOOKED GREAT. I HAVE HAD THE TERIYAKI CHICKEN PLATE IN THERE AND LOVED IT. THOSE COOL HAWAIIANS ALWAYS KNOW HOW TO EAT!
Yesss, Pinball Museum - love stopping there on way into town - brings back lots of memories of playing in arcades! Thanks for stopping there, and the rest of the video is awesome as well (as always).
Norma makes the best Vegas videos. Shows us a lot about Vegas, and she has so much fun doing it. Always with a smile on her face. My favorite Vegas vlogger.
Rocking the Friends gear, my favorite show. I can’t believe you went to Aloha Specialties 😂. The Teri Chicken bowl used to be $3.75 for a long time, I know it’s more now; but that was my go to cheap eats. Wow, the line was longer than I’ve ever seen. Was the coffee shop (Market Street) closed? This could be the reason they were so busy.
we walked the length of the strip and went into all of the hotels, they have so much worth seeing and its free!! I like the $2 beer tip plus the burger being cheaper than the slice, but thats the strip vs Fremont. Another great vid
Another great video!!! My buddy and I did something similar few years ago (2013ish), we basically got free water and walked around the strip all day long and both of us didn't spent a dime. The conclusion we got was, this is why we are single..............
Great video/challenge Norma! 👍 How about the cheapest hotel off the strip with best tourist comps (ie. free breakfast, discount off gift shop, free play, etc...) included?
Yea but I bet there isn't any, oh and I forgot to look when I was there this weekend, how much is gas since Brandon took over for you? Here in Florida it has gone from $1.80 when those mean old tweets were flying around, now $3.29. You guys are around $5 I would bet, right?
I totally think you could have your show on TV some day like Rachel Ray. Although I think of you more as like a Brooke Burke when she started off on E showing the secrets of every city that she went to. Another great video! Keep it up!
This classy lady is always informative 👩❤️👨& helpful. Glad you did Fremont Street too. That’s my favorite place & the hot dogs, chic fil-e, El Cortez subway sandwich is my cheap food staples when I playing slots. 2$ Margaritas at Fremont casino bar, is my first stop. Lol👍
You really did a great job with this challenge! As somebody who's been in Vegas with my last $40 many times lol I can relate to this! You showed some good places I've never heard of! I've actually pulled off $25 before one day believe it or not and that's including 3 meals and a club and drink! Ah I miss my Vegas days!
I like your videos. Always fun and informative. But going all that way to Aloha Specialties and then ordering a BURGER??!! No, no, no. You order either the Korean Chicken, a Teriyaki plate, a Kalua Pig plate, or Saimin! C'mon Man!
Great video Norma i take the bus all the time since it’s cheap great choice of Aloha Specialities i eat there all the time. For your $2.77 you could of gotten a donut at DD in Fremont lol
Aloha Great stuff you energy’s so fun I sure the aloha restaurant so busy because all the Hawai’i folk can’t get enough of plate lunch Love the pinball hall glad closer now. Keep doing you
Hi Norma. Excellent video. When I first came to Vegas, Einstein’s bagels was the only place to get a decent bagel. The place you went to in your video, I’ve been to. Bagel shops have come a long way over the years. They don’t have the “New York water” to make the classic bagels, but there well-worth the trip.
Norma, I am going to Vegas in a few days so this was perfect! I’m from Reno. You said there was a discount for locals? Is this for all Nevada Id’s or just Vegas?
That burp was epic 🤣🤣 I luv Vegas in the fall the weather is soooo nice! I miss Cafe Bellagio, Sadelles is there now and just alright. I used to get cheap eats there after loosing all my money in the casino 😋 Pro Tip: Skip the Thanksgiving Feast at the Bacchanal. Not worth the extra price and the line...OMG!!! 😲😲 And they had no pumpkin pie during Thanksgiving but they said I should try the pumpkin gelato LOL!
The guy making the roses for donations (on Fremont) looked so happy having Norma’s support! When I go back to Vegas is January I’m gonna have to stop by and support there artistry!
The pepperoni/sausage slice from NY pizzeria was my favorite during my last trip. Up the escalator by the Hershey store. The best! And of course since you’re right by Hershey, you might as well pick up a dessert from there. 😄🙌🏼
@@Fantasy23Legend I don’t remember exactly but right around 8 or 9 dollars. I remember having 2 slices and a regular soda for about $22.00 including tax. It’s totally worth it. 😊
I like these $40 challenge videos like you and Rachel Ray. Please keep doing. Like $40 in Henderson, $40 in Summerlin, $40 at The Strat, $40 at Red Rock Canyon, etc. thank you! 💵 thank you!
Or one in the Mandalay Bay which I just got back from on Monday, I wonder how far that $40 would go? With beer at $12, cheeseburgers at $26, lattes at $7, mixed drinks at $13, and table mins at $25 a hand, not to far I bet.
When I lived in Vegas I would walk the strip for exercise. I would usually leave with more money than I came with by finding cash or chips on the ground or finding money left in a gaming machine.
Love the Cal (i'm from Hawaii) but didn't know about Aloha Specialties, Thanks I'll check it out I'm in Vegas Oct 27. Love the vlog, your bloopers/out-takes are too cute.
Hi Norma I'm from Australia when my mum and I come to Vegas we have to budget for 7 days so we normally have around $120 a day for everything. We prepay in Australia for things like shows grand canyon trips ect. What ever $ is left we put it to the next days money this money is for food, souvenirs, getting around our room and resort fees are all pre paid so $120 day is a lot we love Macy's clearance racks I got $800 worth of clothes for $80 to take back to Australia. Thank you for your videos.
I love your videos. Keep on doing them. My friends and I are going to Vegas in December and you have so many idea of things to do. This is going to help so much because most of us will be on a budget.
What a great idea for a video Norma. You did get a lot out of the $40. I just wanted to say thanks for stopping and saying hi during your Live Stream a week ago. I was hanging out with some friends at Posh Burger. One of them was Bron.😊
Great video as always. Since it vegas, how about the most affordable gambling spots in Vegas. Show penny slots, super low minimums tables, show us games that will let you play longer with less money. that sort of thing.
Great Video Norma, would have loved you to have eaten the 99c prawn cocktail washed down with and cheap Margarita from downtown but you can’t have it all , keep making class videos, you have a special quality that makes us want to see what you share next. I live in England (but I’m Scottish) so I’ve been watching all your videos, writing down all your tips for food and entertainment for a trip next year I hope, thanks for making me want to visit Las Vegas (again, I’ve been twice but only scratched the surface) xx
As a Vegas Born gal I will add that Aloha Specialties has been in the California since the 80's and I recommend their chicken teriyaki bowls. Maybe try doing a collab with Mikey Chen or other travel bloggers when they visit Vegas.
so THATS the restaurant that has a very VERY long line!!! When I returned from SEMA, at 11p, that line was over a dozen long!!!! Ahhh....nah! i will go elsewhere!
Love, love, love this!! Yes, you absolutely can be the next Rachael Ray 😊💜 Thank you for showing us some different cheap eats!! The bagel place and Ja Burritos is on our list to try now!
The thought process you have and the final vlog that you deliver is seriously something you should be proud of. The time it must take you...I can only imagine...with the editing. It is what we love to see when looking for ideas of what to do, where to go. I have been there many times, and still haven't seen it all, but you manage to help us all out. Big thumbs up as usual, and I got the Vessi's cuz of you...another awesome recommendation too!
Great 👍 video and I use your suggestions all the time thank you 😊 here's what a budget day for me is like first off would be the 6.99 breakfast at eillis Island then catch the bus to the strip you can walk 🚶♂️ but a bus 🚌 pass will only be 5.00 instead of 8.00 then on to miracle mile for 5.99 lunch also for a quick snack 7/11 a hotdogs 🌭 and drink 2.00 later double double at in and out 9.99 it varies depending on where I'm at and that is how I keep costs reasonable all because of you and other Vegas bloggers
sounds like a good day! i have shown Ellis Island and Miracle mile food before, i might have to do In n Out one day but i'm trying to not do chains if possible
From Idaho and a frequent visitor to Vegas. I must say, I absolutely love all your videos! I’m a big fan. From your commentary, and bloopers to your editing. Thank you heaps for all the great info.
Wonderful video, Norma! You're tips are always very user-friendly, and you thoroughly explain everything. I was there last week, for the first time in more than 30 years, and knowing what to expect was extremely valuable. 👏 Thank you!
