Public transportation is an excellent way to get around if you're not in a hurry. The kiosk are $20 for three days, but you can buy an all day pass from the bus driver( except deuce drivers) for $5 which is also good for the deuce. Now if you buy from the deuce drivers, the price of the tickets are higher, the same as the kiosk. Don't ask me why. I come to Vegas just to eat. Normally I'll stay 3-5 days. I've gone all over the strip and beyond using public transportation. Leaving the airport I take the 109 to the terminal and then the deuce to my hotel. This next visit I'll be taking the 108 to my airbnb, staying 5 days. There's a lot of eating that has to be done, lol. I don't like paying those incidental fees Norma mentioned for more than three days.
*Just a quick for note if you're planning on utilizing the RTC* ✓Have the exact amount for the bus. ✓Make sure you have your mask on. It is required. ✓Pick up a map of all routes; you'll be glad ya did. ✓Be sure to ask the driver if there is bus stop nearby your hotel resort that you're staying at. Many times tourists missed their hotel and find themselves backtracking to where they have reservations where they staying. ✓Have patience when waiting for the bus. If you're venturing away from the strip keep in mind RTC transit services are currently understaffed when it comes to drivers, folks. Please don't get upset with the 🚞 driver that does arrives & picks you up. They are not responsible for any previous buses that didn't arrive. Stay safe folks.
@@desmondcastro3679 When using the public transit there, I've found the deuce the only delayed and packed buses. Of course, that's to be expected. So like you said, don't get frustrated, enjoy your stay in Vegas, the best restaurants in the country.
@@sfdanceron1 Does everyone have to take the 109 to the terminal and then the deuce to your hotel? I'll be staying at The Linq in two weeks and I'm trying to figure out the cheapest transportation
@@ilymars14 I think using the bus from the airport, this is the most efficient way to the Linq. The deuce will drop you off near the Flamingo, I think. Btw, I've found there aren't that many people waiting for the 109 bus at the airport. When you get to the terminal, again, you'll be one of the few getting on the deuce. Just make sure you get an all day pass. You'll probably want to use the deuce again going up and down the strip, or using other buses going off the strip. If someone has a more efficient way using the public system, please comment.
Awesome tips! And as someone who has worked front desk, I thank you for mentioning that changes you want to make if you booked third party need to be made through them like Expedia and Priceline lol love the video so far girl!!
Norma, you step your hosting up with every video...You are so creative, engaging and positive, you make me want to get to Vegas yesterday...Thanks for being such a sweetheart and beautiful person 😊
Vdara is my favorite! A kitchenette and fridge is always a plus. Some of the bigger rooms have a full kitchen with filtered water in the fridge and washer and dryer. So quiet and smoke free! Thank you Norma for sharing all the hotels that have a fridge. Huge plus!
I’m arriving in Vegas next week for EDC Vegas for the first time since 2019 and this was a good reminder video of what to expect when I arrive in Vegas. Thanks for all the tips! 🙏🏼
LOVE THIS VIDEO! Been coming to Vegas since the early 2000's and there were things you showed I didn't know about. This will be one of your top videos.
The platinum hotel has a partial indoor pool where the water is heated to 80 degrees so you jump into the indoor part of the pool then swim under the glass to the outdoor section. The great thing is the water is 80 degrees so you are warm while you are outdoor as long as you are in the water. We were there a while back in November when the outdoor temps were in the 40's so it was a great experience.
I think that place is from the hidden gems in vegas above the macaroon store inside the Venetian. I am not sure but does the Trump hotel have an indoor pool. I may be wrong but I thought they did. Let me know :) Great video Norma! Awesome information as always.
Also, shuttles usually have multiple stops at several hotels in one round trip, so they may take you to different hotels for other drop offs before taking you to your hotel. Cab is the fastest way to get to your destination
I used to work in the reservations dept of MGM Resorts. Thank you for mentioning if you book through a 3rd party, they can't make changes through the hotel. I used to get a lot of people get mad because I couldn't make changes. I also suggest you bring your copy of the reservation if booked through a 3rd party. Quite often, that 3rd party didn't send over your reservation and it's not in the system. With MGM Resorts players card, if you just sign up and start off on the 1st tie., If you're military, rather current, retired or spouse, show your military ID, and it automatically bumps you up to the next tier level and gives you free parking. I've lived here over 20 years and never get burned out because outside the strip, it's just a normal city. I haven't been to the strip in about 3 years
Hi Norma, thanks for turning a bad morning into a great day after watching another fantastic video. By the way, the first resort you asked us to guess where you were, was the Venetian. Do I win the "Washer and Dryer." haha. Bonus points; formally The Sands. I was worried there wouldn't be any bloopers at the end, but you didn't disappoint us one bit. Always look forward to your videos. Enjoy your weekend. 😊
@12:00 just dab in your room instead of combusting dry flower. Dabs have minimal smell that dissipates quickly. Or stay at Cosmo with the balcony in the room
From the airport we always do limo. It's a bit more money ($97) but trust me, it's the best way to start your Vegas vacation. Limo, time for a stop somewhere and complimentary alcoholic drinks...... The trip back to airport we just do Uber or Lyft.
Nora thank you so much for the great tips! Me&my wife came to Las Vegas from Istanbul, Turkey three weeks ago and stayed almost two weeks. We watched your videos before our visit and wow, your recos are really priceless!! Really appreciated!! Looking forward to see you in Istanbul asap ☺️
You mention making sure to be hydrated -- one thing I would point out is that, unless you're from Los Angeles or some other city that gets Colorado River water, you're probably going to find Las Vegas water to be unbearably chlorinated and almost undrinkable. The first thing we always did while visiting from the Pacific Northwest was to pick up as many large bottles of purified drinking water as possible, and only use the tap water for washing.
Certain casino guests, the high rollers, don’t pay resort fees and usually don’t pay for their hotel rooms. Great informative video. Thanks for the shuttle/cab/Uber/Lyft airport to hotel information.
Who doesn't LOVE Norma's videos! She gives great advice, and is super cute. And I always get a kick out of her blooper clips at the end. Norma, you're # 1 !!
What a great video, Norma! I had no idea there were shuttles anymore (we drive to Vegas) and we are so guilty of buying beer at the ABC store on Fremont a drinking them 😂🤣! Keep up the amazing work!
I've personally never been to Vegas always wanted to go ! And now thanks too your videos it's on my bucket list Thank you for you guidance ; when / if I come to Vegas ll make sure to check out all you have shown thank you again on the video keep it up - cheers ✈️
To avoid resort fees, get yourself a players card 💳... at the end of your stay, ask for a casino host, they will look at your play🎰 and remove fees💲 for room charges (food)🥞 and resort fees depending on the level of your play 💰. #imnotagamblerthough 🥰
I’ve stayed at 80% of the hotels on the strip and downtown, most will have the bellhop bring you a personal fridge if you want…15-20 bucks or maybe just a tip if you go to the bellhop directly. That’s a little secret in of itself, anything you want, ask a bell hop, depending on your pocketbook anything can be had.
greetings from England Norma. We are finally being allowed back to Vegas and so many of us are planning on returning. We booked online with Bell Trans last time we went . I have no idea if they are still there now. Two years seems like a lifetime ago. Have a great weekend.
💕💕💕💕💕💕 Another great video Norma! You are becoming a Star at this ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I wasn't aware that you can 'Borrow' a room in Vegas? I think that I will try that the next time that I am there .... wonder if I can borrow it for 5 days and nights? I haven't been to Vegas for the past 2 years, (every year prior) .... but it's looking to me like things are starting to become very pricy there, no? Thanks again for the video .... absolutely loved it!
I got back from Vegas for the first time in April, booked a trip back right away and going for 7 days December-January through New Year’s Eve!! I cannot wait. Stayed at Mandalay Bay first time, Bally’s I’m December. Thanks for these tips!
Another great video Norma! You're truly becoming famous with them! Absolutely beautiful person you are and such a sweet personality! Stay safe and thank you!!!
I would love to see more about accessibility. I can only walk short distances and will be renting a wheelchair for my trip (since just crossing the casino floor will be a struggle) and I am super worried about where I will be able to take the wheelchair. I've seen people say it is hard to get around the slot machines or get in some of the hotel shops.
Rent a mobility scooter from the bell desk or call a scooter company I use one everywhere in Vegas and the strip is very scooter friendly and accommodating I rolled one between ballys, Paris, Cosmo, Caesars, linq, aria and a few others and just had to take slight detours to get to my destination
This was such a well organized and presented video. Great information and good links to your other videos. I liked the POV of you just talking to the camera and delivering the topic perfectly. Good info so well presented, very thoughtful and professional.
Nora my husband and I only visit Vegas Sunday through Thursday. I feel ya! Your channel is so helpful and being from California we visit many times a year.
Norma! Thanks girl for all the information. My sisters and I will be visiting in two weeks and it’ll be our first trip. Hopefully we’ll see you on the strip!
I have been to Las Vegas a hundred times and this covers so much good information, a must watch if your planning a visit. I love all your videos Norma, thanks for sharing.
Loved the tips!!!! Very helpful, in-laws are heading up there for the first time and definitely making them watch this. I am diabetic so the medical fridge info was a real plus, had no idea they did that. Thanks for the great work your awsome!!!
Norma this is awesome. Thank you for being the first person to review the airport. Why doesn’t this channel have a million subs? Try 45$ Downtown. Huge ripoff. I complained.
8:49. Just came from Vegas. Stayed at the Venetian that I booked through a third party. Literally the biggest hassle EVER to try and get the 3rd party to change my name. It actually never got done but LUCKILY the Venetian front desk changed it on the spot and I had no issues
roughly how much money (canadian) do u think we need to bring for a 2-3 week visit? I was thinking $1000 but idk if thats enough. Just hanging out with a friend, no casinos or gambling.. just for hotels or air bnb, hiking trips, etc
The mini bars in most hotels normally have a timer 30-60 seconds on the pressure pads, so you can take something out and read the label, and replace it if you don’t want it, without being charged for it.
That video was great! Not as good as the sportsbook video, but still great. 😆 BTW, I didn't know there's a Wendy's at the airport! How did I not know about this?! 😀
I took a cab from the airport to downtown Vegas, and the cab took the freeway. Cost me $50. The next time I came to Vegas, I took the public bus, $2.25! Thanks for your tips.
Love it! Great how to video for the first timer. Interesting to see how much the airport shuttles prices have gone up since they have come back. I know the first time I went to Vegas that it was a bit daunting, luckily I was traveling partner that knew the ropes. Thanks Norma!
First off, I love your videos! But I have to make a correction to this video. There IS a hotel in Vegas without a resort fee, which is the 4 Queens on Fremont. Another great thing about Fremont street are the prices of everything. For example, you can get 2 bottles of water for $2 verses $5 to $7 per bottle on the strip. Just another tip 😉 Keep up the great work!
My first trip i got lost,no one told me you have to grab the tram on arrival to get to escalator down to get baggage lol.just adding that for first timers :)
We are also going to Las Vegas for the first time in May 2022 We like it. We rented a car from Turo. And stay in springhill suites Greetings from the Netherlands Gert
Hi Norma!! Thanks for all of the tips!! My fiancé and I actually saw you TWICE this day!! At toms urban and the Aria when you were filming!! We didn’t want to interrupt you but just want to say thank you and we love your videos!!! 🥰🥰🥰
If EVERYTHING we need to know about a place can fit in a 20 minute video - then this place is probably not interesting at all. Which is not true for Las Vegas. So... what's up with that?
I kinda agree Norma. How do you avoid Vegas burn out? For me, it doesn't happen. Just never does. I ADORE Vegas.❤And I'm not a gambler, drinker or smoker. I'm a huge extrovert and that city I'd just so FUN and COOL to me.❤❤
I arrived from Wales 🏴 in the UK 🇬🇧…2 years ago and never went Back…. Heads up to the British people it is Cold in December, January and February…. Even though you have all been Boycotting due to the Resort fees …. I will say its still worth the Money at some Hotels ….
Saludos, antes de ir a las Vegas NV tengo entendido que hay que reservar con tiempo, ? Cuál es su experiencia al respecto? Y que presupuesto UD utilizó. Gracias!
For best reasonable priced hotel, I would have suggested they go on Caesars rewards and sign up for a card. You will get a small discount on the room even with no points. The cheapest rooms will be Harrahs Linq or Flamingo, bish type rooms but center strip. Also, they should do the same on M-life card discount center cut places and a few cheap ones at the south end.
Thanks for the reminder about the golden rule when treating service workers. Thanks for the warning about the timeshare scam! Tipping for housekeeping at the hotel? Separate cash or is it included in the resort fee?
Step 1: Don't forget to claim your baggage. If someone needs advice on how to work and still have fun in Vegas, they should probably just quit their job and stay home. How do I prevent burnout of Vegas 24/7? It's a fucking city. How do you prevent burnout of Sheboygan, Wisconsin 24/7? Find something to do, it's not all casinos and the strip. People be dumb.
I have a question/ advice question , wel I don’t have anybody at Vegas , I would love to RENT a car , is that a good idea ? I’m not really sure how much it is I belive 200 for a week cheapest IM NOT SURE THO
FREE RESORT FEES: If you're Diamond member or above with Royal Caribbean then you can call MGM and get your loyalty accounts linked and a perk is free resort fees at MGM. And you can do the opposite if you have MGM rewards you can call Royal Caribbean and get a tier match with them for perks.
