The author of Paint it Blackreach has a ton of other awesome mods, including extensive overhauls of Sky Haven and Honorhall Orphanage and an amazing mod that gives pets to dozens of NPCs. Definitely check them out!!
My initial reaction: "WTF is Vivienne doing in Blackreach?!" You're spoiling us with videos this week! I don't think I've even been in Blackreach for a couple of years now, but I think I will have to try this.
@@HeavyBurns Sure, sure... Val Royeaux, Blackreach, what's the difference, both filled with wacky-arsed goblins, eh? Falmer might actually be more well-adjusted than Orlesians.
Can't wait until you've successfully overhauled every area in the game to this quality then release a 5 hour walkthrough on how to mod in all this content for a single playthrough without the game/pc exploding :)
I decide to watch a bit of RU-vid before I go to bed and this was posted 10 minutes before? Hell yes. Blackreach was terrifying and beautiful and this overhaul and edit is glorious
I really like that you take one aspect of the game and just try and flesh that out. With cities, dlc, or locations. I feel like you’re slowly building the ultimate setting for Skyrim. What the game could be at max potential. I want to get all these mods together but I know I’d just kill my pc that way.
I remember the first time i arrived there. After a big and hard dungeon to even get there, i arrived at this massive area that seemed impossibly large. And it was even harder than the previous dungeon. It may not have been perfect but god damn i'll remember it for long.
In my first playthrough I lived in blackreach. A bit like smaug in the Hobbit, I made a huge treasure pile next to one of the beds and sat on the throne at the top of the city to watch over my realm. I mean, you have the soul of a dragon, maybe you have some of their instincts and behaviour, too.
I made a personal playlist of all the mods and playthroughs I gotta do once I get my GPU. And I just realized, it's literally a playlist of almost ever video you've ever posted. Keep on keepin on, my guy.
These are really cool mods. Ironically just this came out right after I finished the Dark Heart of Skyrim Expac in ESO, and I'd be like super down for those underground vampire castles to be made into player houses in Skyrim as they take place in Blackreach.
We need a overhaul list from you that covers everything all together, graphics, cities, combat, etc. Ive noticed going through that alot of mods from your lists arent really compatible with others, but you definitely make the best mod lists out of any others.
I love how if found this an hour of it was posted Bc I just decided to open RU-vid and see if there always anything interesting then he hit me with another masterpiece. Thank you for the amazing content.
Boy, oh boy, You are working hard aren't you? Right after a quality video of Dawnguard DLC overhaul, and Now this. Fascinating, you deserve way more subs, This is Quality content
I just watched what felt like a half hour video on the dawn guard DLC like yesterday and now he comes out with this video on black-reach. My guy putting in the work, subscribing was never not an option.
Man I thought I was upping my game with a kewl new rail system but NoO. Heavy Burns calls me out for neglecting those awesome Blackreach textures and critters and... Now I need to bash some more. Great showcase my good sir.
I actually think that mod looks incredible and yeah probably should have been in this vid tbh but its more of a dwemer dungeons in general mod then blackreach specific.... not that glowmapped weapons are blackreach specific tho... so probably should have been here yeah
@@HeavyBurns also unrelated to Blackreach but if you're not already using the mod www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38095 for your Whiterun and solitude. Its name is a little misleading but it adds new decoration, architexture, clutter, plants, and detail to solitude and Whiterun to cover up the harsh corners on the staires, and columns. Also adds new walkways to Whiterun to make it look more lived in. Its meant to be used with JK as well as JK dawn of skyrim and even works with the capital expansion.
This looks amazing! I love Blackreach. I still remember how surprised and impressed I was when I arrived there for the first time. But since I totally forgot to mod it I will use these for sure.
I've done well by not redoing another modded Skyrim playthrough the past year and slaughtering my life. You're breaking that discipline the more of these videos you upload.
Important note/warning. Paint it Blackreach breaks Vulthuryol (the ancient named dragon you can summon in the blackreach) & at least half the added content/location appear to be in a highly half-baked/unfinished state. The creator of the mod has abandoned the project (so everything that is broken/bugged is probably going to stay that way). It does make the zone feel more populated but outside of combat it breaks the immersion more then adds to it.
Ah feck I just finished all I had to do in blackreach a couple days ago in my current playthrough so I don't think imma go back in this one. But do Solstheim next please!!!!
Hey man,so I've watch ESO,MxR,Camelworks,FudgeMuppet and TheEpicNate315 for years, but the way you do your videos and just overall is up there with ESO and MxR for me. Thanks.
Another great video dude, a true Skyrim inspiration The train mod in Blackreach is such a good idea given that Dwarves were super technologically advanced. Thomas the Tank Engine is lore friendly now!
Amazing Video!! I've been building a mod-list for my next playthrough, I'm planning to wait until you do a few more videos so I can steal your ideas. Here's what I can't wait to see! 1.) Gotta get that last DLC and Solstheim improvements video 2.) Vampirism and Lycanthropy mods to complete the Volkihar Vampire playthrough I wanna do next 3.) A video series on mods for each Guild 4.) A video on mods for the main story and dragon and shout improvements 5.) A video on mods for the Civil War 6.) A video on mods for the Thalmor patrols and locations
Bro. Cannot believe you have less than 51K I hope you are soaring in sub soon. You deserve hundreds of thousands more. Keep it up mate, I'm lucky to have found you before you hit 100k
I rarely comment on videos but I just have to praise this editing. Your production quality is through the roof! You could make even swearing mudcrabs look like a revolutionary masterpiece!
Gotta say man, you are incredible at making thumbnails. Anytime i see one of your videos I add it to my watch later just based on how good and interesting the thumbnail looks (especially the Dawnguard one you just did)
A Morthal marshlands video might be a good idea. I haven't had a chance to test this out yet myself, but my planned modlist for the area includes "The Marshlands," "Foggy Morthal and Swamp SE," "Poisonblooms - Beware of the swamp REDUX," "Bogmort - Mud Monsters of Morthal Swamp," "Northern Marsh Bridges," and oddly enough "Shrek's Swamp House SE" fits as an easter egg (though I'd like to stick an Ogrim inside that you have to kill to get the house). A mod that alters spider behavior to make them jump at you is also good, making them leap out of the mist into your face. All in all, it makes the swamp a legitimately creepy place to explore, without even touching on the city itself.
'I removed Paint It Blackreach. It conflicts with a lot of little things. The latest issue is i pushes the door for the Silverblood Inn out a bit leaving a weird gap you can almost walk into. Why does it touch that door? I dunno. I think it's just lack of experience from the mod creator. It does make Blackreack look really good but adds a lot of new enemies to make things much tougher. For example, right near the entrance there's a giant. Weird. The mod >>Magical Blackreach
Man I gotta tell you I love your video. They are so well done and a joy to watch and listen. You alone made me redownload skyrim. Keep it up man you gotta subscriber. 💯
Personally, Blackreach was actually my favorite part of Skyrim, it was like a small underdeveloped Morrowind but inside a glow worm cave and without any of the dry parts, and the falmer keeping slaves from the surface made them slightly more interesting, not to mention those slaves were so indoctrinated that they would attack the dragonborn on sight, they didn't want me freeing them from the falmer, but I never understood why, I just assumed they were kind of like Namira's forgotten ones from Oblivion, bunch of half-naked weirdos hanging around Anga, hissing at you if you walked near them. Strange that the falmer still insisted on building little huts and weapons by themselves when they had slave labor though. Still though, glad to see mods have made Blackreach even better, great video!
