Hi all! The release of this video to me finally closes out my 2021 so i hope you enjoyed and look forward to new cool videos in 2022. This year has been crazy and i cant thank you all enough for the support you have shown this channel since i began this weird little experiment. Soon we'll be hitting 100k subs which is just mind blowing! Thanks again for a crazy year :)) For those looking for the preset pack it is now live on Patreon for all tiers www.patreon.com/heavyburns Also for those that are interested, as mentioned in the video i have recently partnered with Apex Gaming PC's to bring out my own line of custom gaming rigs fit to the same specs im running, if you are interested then take a look at my page at apexgamingpcs.com/products/heavy-burns
Hey Heavy Burns.... really big fan of your work and I'm also a small RU-vid artist....I wanted to do a time lapse drawing of you Was wondering if that's okay with you and if you wouldn't mind reviewing it crediting it
Fun fact: Hermaeus Mora's character model has a different "headtracking" mechanic where it is always focused on the camera rather than the player character itself. Kind of fitting considering who he is...
That's because Mora doesn't have a character model in the conventional sense. That writhing mass of tentacles and eyes is, rather than a three-dimensional model, a static mesh. Static meshes are also used for the magic art you see in your spell list, and first-person views of weapons
@@Godzilla_Cheeze Gender and pronouns are irrelevant to daedric princes as they can appear as anything, though it is more common to call him by male pronouns, even though he chooses not to appear as a humanoid. But yeah you could get away with calling any prince by any pronoun and you usually wouldn't be explicitly wrong.
I think this just solidifies the fact that Heavy Burns needs to hired by Bethesda for cinematic trailers for the upcoming releases. Absolutely a masterpiece
Its insane that this kind of overhaul has been exactly what I've been looking into and needing. Ten days into 2022 and we're off to an incredible start within the modding community. Skyrim is over 10 years old and we're still doing this kind of overhauling, absolutely INSANE
Adding extra Daedra to Apocrypha associated with Herma-Mora would've made the realm more lively and dangerous than it already is as well. The Seekers and Lurkers I feel like aren't enough after 8 years. But other than that, this overhaul's amazing, you really went all out here. Dragonborn now feels even more complete than we could've hoped. 🙂 Hope your upcoming content shines just as bright this new year. 😇👏
I thought I was finally done with Skyrim for a bit, but it looks like I’ll need to start re-doing my mod list again. Damn you Heavy Burns for releasing such good content
The sheer quality and quantity of editing, voice over and awesome mods in this is just _insane,_ quite frankly. Holy hell. Fantastic job by everyone involved, seriously
Love the vid. Hate to sound negative but I think there is such a thing as over-editing. The music video intro and outro were way too long and had way too many tilted or spinning camera shots. But on the other hand, those Raven Rock edits were absolutely spectacular. My point is, your videos are stupidly good, but I think you’re overdoing it in certain parts and dragging things out. And I’m saying that as someone who loved both Samson episodes. Anyway, take this criticism to heart or don’t, I’ll still watch and enjoy no matter what. You should be super proud of this video, it turned out great.
Thankyou! And yes i actually do agree, the intro was something i was constantly joking telling people i already know its ridiculously long but i didn't want to cut it shorter because the music track i had was really good 😅and im always trying new things (and trying to improve my skills on existing things) so i appreciate the criticism a lot. Sometimes getting better at something is also learning when you're doing too much of it, so sometimes pushing that boundary a bit so people can let you know its a little too much is a nice way of calibrating what is the happy medium. Thanks for the comment
I disagree. Even being familiar with modding Skyrim since 2014, I still found the entire video entertaining. Keep going ham Burn, there is no other Skyrim content creator putting in the effort seen in these videos.
Super excited to see how you remaster Dragonborn, I love the new voice actors you got, it's quite dynamic. Edit wow Just finished the vid, what a wonderful production and I need to know, what song played at the end?
I'm curious as to how you record your cinematics. How do you get your character do actions while you're watching from another camera angle? eg the intro for Raven Rock, when the woman shoots an arrow at the camera, as far as I know you can't control your character in tfc right? You do a fantastic job with them, I aspire to be able to do something like that aswell
Not sure how Burns does it but how I started doing that is by charging my bow and then type sgtm 0 in the console and then tfc. This makes time stop while you're in tfc. Then, I move the camera to get a good angle and then I write sgtm 1 again in the console to get the game rolling again. You can also do sgtm 0.xx to do that in slow motion which is even cooler. Hope that helps!
@@NarivaTV I've done the same, sgtm is really useful and all but it's difficult when you wanna do more than just one action, like if you want to get a cinematic shot of the character walking toward the sunset in a forest or something, away from the camera, how would you get the camera to stand still (or even pan/slightly move around) while you walk
Its mostly just a case of bashing different mods, console commands and general techniques together to get what i need for each shot tbh. For example the stationary camera when people are walking is a combination of cloning my playercharacter, using the "tc" console command to take control of the NPC, freezing my player in place using "player.tc" and then i essentially have a still camera where i can control an NPC within it. For that arrow shot in particular, if you change the attack controls to different keys other then the mouse, you are able to use TFC and attack at the same time, So i will line up my camera where the arrow will land and then use whatever key i changed to make my player shoot Just mostly all little things like that to get what i need done
Oh my god the editing is so good. The ending looked like a freaking movie trailer and I’m kinda sad that this movie will never exist. Keep up the great content because man this was freaking amazing
Im so happy to see you grow as a creator. I remember finding you back when you released the Dawnguard overhaul and literally revived my love for Skyrim once again. And even though my laptop cant handle these levels of overhauls watching your videos on them if good enough for me! I cant wait to see the next video and continue to watch you grow!
Thanks so much! No matter how big this channel gets im always looking to improve in doing what i do so although other videos might not always be as big as this one, the quality will hopefully seep through to other things i make
@@HeavyBurns every video that comes from you I feel is always outstanding in its own way. You’re entertaining as hell and format every video in a clear and concise way that’s easy to understand and follow. And with the additional cinematic flare that you have in each one it keeps people hooked and wanting to immediately go and make changes to their mod folders!
That was amazing!! Truly a masterpiece of art and cinematography, as well as a beautiful showcase of the mods listed. If there's only one thing missing from this, it's the ability to download all of these mods all at once and not go through the hassle of clicking every single link.
Awesome overhaul of the Dragonborn dlc man! Definitely going to try out some of these mods into my 300+ modlist. Here’s to even better overhauls in 2022 eh?
these mod reviews are getting insane. It's becoming an art. besides the top-notch editing, I like how there is a story and a machinima to it. The writing and the cinematography are excellent
Thanks so much! Making these more and more cinematic is a really fun thing to do (although it does take a bunch of time) but hopefully it pays off in that people continue to enjoy watching them
I stg dude you did it again... literally like a couple days ago I decided to separate my mod list based on dlc and was searching for a video just like this and could not find anything... this is getting creepy at this point
Your video is such a masterpriece from visual, editing and the flow to the amazing voiceover and sound design. So amazing that I'm playing it in the background because I just enjoy filling my ears with adventurous magical sounds.
Wow Burns, you've really outdone yourself! The editing is insane! I remember stumbling upon your channel because of your Fallout 4 Zombie transformation and look at you now! Well deserved subscriber count and your efforts are very much appreciated! Thank you for producing high quality content.
Amazing quality! Really just blows everything else out of the water! Had to watch the full adverts to support the channel. Favorite part was when the doors/windows were opening up to show us inside the new Skaal Village homes and the cinematic at the end. Excellent job!
Thanks so much dude! Really love seeing you around and coming up with your own superb content recently! New creators are always a breath of fresh air :))
bro, this is genuinly amazing. Somehow you made it feel like Solstheim was a real place that you were making a documentary about. Incredible job as always.
Absolut masterpiece, great editing and narration. Heavy Burns and friends you buddies make Skyrim community something great and I I bow my head to you. GREAT JOBE!!! I have onyl one complaint - where is Miraak content? Some thing related to the final battle of the most powerful beings in Tamriel history.
Thankyou so much! And yeah the biggest hurdle for me personally is that there simply isnt that many Dragonborn mods... and nothing that is like TRULY game changing, so i had to kind of over compensate with the video production as most of the mods are rather small in scope and no huge overhaling's of anything. Perhaps in the future i can make my own mods for some of these videos but for now i can only show what is out there :)
The quality of this video is insane. Great work done by everyone. Btw. imagine how awesome it would be if there was a team of modders behind Heavy Burns that creates mod lists around these great videos :D
Thanks so much! And that would be very cool indeed. Would be awesome to say like "lets make a dark brotherhood overhaul" and then we can make a mod/ mods around that and then launch them with the video
There comes a time in every man's life where he has to admit he just doesn't have certain skills. I will never be able to make a video this good and I'm happy we have Heavy Burns, so we have this art.
I can see you've put a ton of work into the editing, amazing work. One small critique: the mod names would benefit from being displayed more clearly, as they were often hard to read.
Thankyou! And yeah it was actually an issue that i encountered when watching the whole video back afterwards. The problem in this video in particular is that there were often so many mods in such a short amount of time (otherwise the video would of been an hour long and it would have never got finished) that it was really hard to put mod names on screen for every mod and in a natural way. So often i just left them out as they will be in the description anyway. Ill take that more into pre planning on future videos tho so thanks for feedback :)
@@HeavyBurns yeah leaving them out occasionally, particularly if they were small mods, is totally fine. It was more when they were displayed but were difficult to read that they became distracting and made me miss stuff while I tried to work them out.
I want to let you know how much I appreciate you and people like you who worked with you on this Video! For one, there is a distinct lack of mod reviewers, who don't embarrass themselves with obnoxious boob and bikini armor mods. And most of all I want to thank you, because it is people like you, who still keep Skyrim alive after a decade with all their passion!
You really went above and beyond with this one! I had to watch it twice because I know I missed some things the first time around. I am really blown away with this video HB! Ps. I love the Loki-like text intro for Tel Mithryn 😄
Thanks so much Cheye! And hahaha you can tell how long ive been working on some of these parts as i was making that intro bit when Loki was coming out because i was really into it at the time lmfao XD
@@HeavyBurns I mean.. Loki is probably still my favourite Marvel tv series as well as my favourite character so I'm not mad at it 😂 (Hawkeye being a close second). But you put a ton of work into this video and it really shows!
Very cool! But there was a huge missed opportunity: idk if there's actually a mod for this but a mod to allow you to control dragons when you fly with them using bend will would be so cool to add to this!
That mod exists, I have it but I don't remember what it's called, something like dragon riding - intuitive control maybe, along with a dragon fast travel system. The problem with these is of course even the main Skyrim map is rather small so you end up going from solitude to Riften in a couple minutes and the illusion that you're in a massive world is kind of broken.
Holy cow! I just found this channel trying to convince my brother to give Skyrim another go with mods and I think this vid, along with the dawn guard one, may do the trick. This was incredible! I can’t wait to see what’s next. Also I would love it very much if anyone who knows the music used at 20:23-22:54 would be so kind as to tell me what it is. I would love to listen to it when working on projects and...we’ll anything else really. Thank you very much in advance.
Good lord the editing and mods are beyond amazing but I still have to curse you because you are making me spend even more hours modding...Its never enough
Hey @Heavy Burns, loved the video and have installed most of the mods showcased after overhauling the Dawnguard DLC as per your previous video. Cant seem to find what mod the Goggles on the player characters in the video are though, the ones with the red lenses?
You'll be on my mind if I ever need instruction and entertaining review on Skyrim modding work, I don't see many commitments like yours to your work. Thanks a massive lot for how much commitment you do put into your works, and for thinking that we are worthy enough of your time that you put so much of your said time into these projects that you make for us. Sincerely, this is something to appreciate, behold, and learn much from. You take care out there in 2022. And same goes to Ms. Plant and Mr. Hodge. Thanks again you guys.
This my second time watching this simply due to the editing. I really hope to see you cover some overhauls for the magic system and maybe the College of Winterhold. Either way, amazing work and I can't wait for the next video.
I have no idea as to why but Black Ops music in your Overhaul videos just hits different, first "Where are we going" in your DG Overhaul now this...holy goose bumps
Dope vid, the multiple dungeons and the more npcs, those 2 mods really do make the game feel impactfully larger than before, if there were 10 more impactfully expansive mods like those 2, man this video'd be Gold!
You outclass yourself with every new content you add on your channel! But what made me enjoy this even more was the subtle cover of Eric Satie's "Trois Gymnopédies" starting at 9:22 along with the Hodge's Attenborough-like voice over! 💙
Dude, you never stop surprising me, your videos are already amazing, but this one, this wasn't even a mod showcase, it was a piece of art, props to you, nice job on this one!!
What an epic video as always. Only problem is that my entire game stopped working due to the anniversary update so I can’t even play any of these mods. Won’t even load into the main menu smfh
What a community, seeing all these content creators and players commenting and praising each other!! This game is stellar, not only for what it is, but also for what it does, what it creates, and what it moves! Pure class!
