Yo, probably should’ve added the disclaimer that this is a fictional story read in the 1st person. I thought it sounded better if narrated as if the character was telling it. You guys still like the short story vids? Or should I scrap them completely?

As a former Buddhist monk there's so much in this I can relate to and I do agree that being in silence for atleast 30min every day is a great idea for anyone. There's so much more to it than just silence and learning to understand how we work is something one needs to do alone at times. Thank you for sharing this!

The end of this video when you said “I just wish I could have shown you what I’ve accomplished…” put a tear in my eye Cole. I feel how you felt. Letting people opinions and what they say dictate your life. What you’ve done and thought was not of your own choosing. God bless you all and I wish the the best on your mental, spiritual, and physical health journey.

Nice coincidence, I literally had an experiment today of meditating 5 minutes in every 3 hours, it's harder than regular meditation because it forces you to snap out of whatever stimulating thing you're doing and quickly reset your brain, it was a battle of temptation.

This is my sign to start meditating again. I’m trying to heal from stuff and start over but the negative emotions that I’m having are so overwhelming. I tried everything and it still doesn’t go away, makes me doubt if what I’m doing is really the right thing or if I’m in the wrong path. I think silence is the thing that was missing. I will come here again sometime and say how it went. Thank you for showing your vulnerability to help other people in their journey. 💖

Silence isn't just the absence of noise, it's the space where we confront our deepest selves. When we constantly distract ourselves with: •Endless scrolling on social media •Overloading our senses with noise •Avoiding moments of introspection We miss out on the transformative power of silence. This video beautifully captures the journey from fearing silence to embracing it as a tool for self-discovery. The creek, the mysterious figure, and the cassette player - all symbols guiding us towards introspection and understanding. Thank you for this reminder to find strength in stillness and to listen to the wisdom within. Keep inspiring, Cole!

Cole, I rarely comment, but I’ve just got to say, keep up the great work! Your contributions to the self-improvement community here on RU-vid are quite innovative and profound, as there are few that prioritize the art of storytelling. Your videos are a nice change of pace from the self improvement videos that are shouting at you for being pathetic for not reaching their standards. Your videos offer a compassionate, gentle alternative, which encourages people to actually listen to your wisdom. Thank you for your time and attention to the struggles of modern life.

If you run from that part of your mind you don't want to acknowledge, it's still there pulling the strings in the background. Facing it might be scary and more difficult in the moment, but it's a lot easier in the long run because you can stop living in fear of your thoughts and take control of them, instead of them controlling you.

I recently watched an anime named Mysterious Girlfriend X and then read the manga by Riichi Ueshiba For some reason, i enjoyed it even more than initial d, which is related to my like of cars and driving skill growth which kept me confused. But it's similar to this video Both this video and the manga gave a somewhat similar feeling of eptiness, and made me think that life isn't what you get, but rather, what you built. In mysterious girlfriend X, both main caracters and the relationship between them is slowly grown by their thoughts and limits, beliefs and tastes[Maybe some of them are extremely rare but the do the job of building], and ends the story as how they felt to end it. Rather of how the enviroment seemed to want them to end (or even us). They both built what they both wanted and will keep building it even if the story has ended. Is this a similar message from this video? Where isn't more about the status of what others tell and want, but rather, the build of ourselves and how we did it? Or idk how to spress myself, it's just a rare feeling both this video and manga gave me

It takes time. At first meditation made me feel disconnected also. But over time I started to build more awareness and now have a big understanding of who I am and how I am. I recommend giving it another try. Because meditation actually brings you closer to yourself over time.

@@coltenkelso5764 Yeah but how do I know whether or not I'm actually meditating or just dissociating? Worst advice someone gave me was "there's no wrong way to meditate". There certainly is, in fact, I wasn't meditating at all.
@coltenkelso5764
@coltenkelso5764 10 месяцев назад
@@LilRocketP13 most people mistake meditation as “clearing your head of thoughts”. That’s not the case at all. It’s okay for thoughts and feelings to come and go. The main thing with meditation is just noticing when your mind wanders off and come back to the breath. I recommend starting with some guidance. I use headspace. They walk you through step by step each meditation. Hope this helps.
@LilRocketP13
@LilRocketP13 10 месяцев назад
@@coltenkelso5764 I may give it another try as now I understand what went wrong and what I was doing wrong. I'm sure meditation has a ton of great benefits when practiced properly but people should be aware of depersonalizing as well as there should be more discussion about dissociation and what solutions/adjustments that can be made to ensure everyone's mental health and safety.
@OMMANIPADMEHUM8
@OMMANIPADMEHUM8 10 месяцев назад
@@LilRocketP13Meditation starts by being separate from the mind, by being a witness. That is the only way of separating yourself from anything. If you are looking at the light, naturally one thing is certain: you are not the light, you are the one who is looking at it. If you are watching the flowers, one thing is certain: you are not the flower, you are the watcher. "Watching is the key of meditation: "Watch your mind. "Don't do anything - no repetition of mantra, no repetition of the name of god - just watch whatever the mind is doing. Don't disturb it, don't prevent it, don't repress it; don't do anything at all on your part. You just be a watcher, and the miracle of watching is meditation. As you watch, slowly mind becomes empty of thoughts; but you are not falling asleep, you are becoming more alert, more aware. When you first meditate thoughts will come to your mind, but don't suppress it, because it is just like a spring.Lu Kwan Wu has said: "Catch the thoughts just like a cat waiting for a mouse pounces on it." He is absolutely right. You must wait like a cat eagerly, intensely and vigilantly. There should be no unaware lapse, even for a moment. When a thought arises, you must pounce on it and catch it. Then examine it properly. Observe where was it born and where does it end? And as you go on observing, you will suddenly find that it has disappeared like a bubble in water, or vanished like a dream. You should do this with every thought that arises in you. You can concentrate on your breathing for better meditation. "As the mind becomes completely empty, your whole energy becomes aflame of awakening. This flame is the result of meditation. So you can say meditation is another name of watching, witnessing, observing - without any judgment, without any evaluation. Just by watching, you immediately get out of the mind."

You can start by watching the whole video. Only way to do it is to start focusing for longer periods

dude , this again , why is it that you always predict whats happening to me , how is it that all videos always align to what happens in my present time and at the present moment i think of them you appear with a video that explains it at my face , you are god arent you , i bet you truly are working with the illuminaty and you can see everything that happens on the world , no way you could know how i feel every single time

I think he changed the title so he can make his audience watch the whole video and not just read the title boom there’s your answer, he’s challenging our attention spans and patience which is what I find to be very good
