Hi Katy, it's a sensational group with nice and elegant music; I liked a lot!! Tell me please where are they from? I hope we can listening and watching more videos like this. I'm Eddy and I send you many greetings from Peru in Latin America 🥰... 🇵🇪
Hi Eddy! Thanks for your lovely message. They're from Yorkshire in the North of England (but their hearts and souls might be in New Orleans!). I'll add more videos when my dad sends me some more. Glad you like the music!
Dear @@rhythmdeluxe, hi !! Well, don't forget show us more videos like before and well greetings for you and for your father and tell him that he has good musical tastes and there is a little place in Peru where this kind of music is welcome 🎩
@@rhythmdeluxe Dear friend, your dad's band reminds me of the Beatles••oh,if they are alive. The video also show me what the life ( time, music) is. Thank you lady and gentlemen.^£^♪~(l am from Taiwan.)
@@rhythmdeluxe Hi Katy, do you mind if I ask if the gentleman who play saxophone is your dad? The music is so amazing and I just wonder how does it feel like as a child grow with amazing music around. Excited to watch more performance from the band. And do you mind if I ask the name of the band? Have a wonderful day!
Leeds, England? That was a surprise. I'm not sure why the video was dated 1964 when the cars in the background are clearly newer than that, while the song itself was written in 1934 by Mexican-American songwriter Maria Grever to a lyric in Spanish. I was wondering just where this was shot; it sounds like the sort of performance you'd feel privileged to catch when you were out walking and stumbled upon it.
Hi Mark, sounds like I need to change the date on the song! As Darren said below, the video isn't from 1964, it's what I thought was the date of the tune (should've checked with my dad!). And yes, it's lovely when people stumble upon the band when they're playing in public spaces - I used to go with him occasionally when I was a little girl, and I often went to watch him when he and his friends were busking in York (purely for the love of it - the day paid for itself: a train and a few beers), where I used to live and work. People start smiling immediately, and then start tapping their feet and sometimes all out dancing! It's nice to think that my dad makes people feel happy for a living!
Merci! Ils sont en Angleterre, au centre bourg de Halifax. Ils jouent partout, mais pour le plus part, dans le Nord d'angleterre. J'habite en France et mon pére aimerais bien venir ici avec sa bande de musicians un jour... On verra!
@@rhythmdeluxe I walked past and said hello, but my wife wanted to get the shopping done so I couldn't stop and chat. I love the banjo and held a ukulele that George Formby played. Some guys at Blackpool let me hold it and have a twang. Anyway, thanks for the reply, Katy and tell your dad we love them all. Thank you.
