Looking at this game, I understand something of the terror that Anand used to inspire earlier in his career. He is playing quickly, fearlessly,, and accurately, resembling the player he used to be in the 2007-2010 era. I wonder if he has any interest in playing the candidates. I expect he would beat Ding in this form.
nope, he has clearly mentioned that he has no title aspiration anymore. Playing as a semi-professional player is different. He is able to play freely without the stress of preparation n all and that's why u see him playing good.
Anand is like the Professor who knows exactly what he is doing. He is so calm and composed, like someone who has understood the mechanics to the core and is always in control
I'm sorry but what is this continuous obsession with mentioning his age in every video of him which he wins, if you know he's a legend and one of the greatest, this everytime mentioning simply undermines him as if we're shocked! He ain't a regular chess player who has won at age of 53, kindly stop with this age mentioning in every post and video, really disrespectful towards him.
It's not disrespectful. Chess skills deteriorates with age. That's the general trend. You can see that with Garry Kasparov currently. But Anand seems unaffected. It's actually flattery and respect, on the contrary since he's beating the norm.
Yeah. A 5 time world champion will stay in Top GM his whole life. What do expect from him. Even with age, you can't forget the basics of chess! Vishy grew from no computer to computer theory in which most of GMs have failed! When it comes to principles. The more experienced one is better!
@@VikrantMalvankar Gary is totally cutoff from chess and into politics now. Vishy has his academy and still trains indian prodigies and plays from time to time. Gary till 2019 was doing fine in the yearly GCT he use to participate. Not taking away anything from Vishy and his terror.
@@nrsathya1 bro are you dumb ? no offense . kramnik in 2018 was 43 and vishy is currently 53 , 10 years in chess is a long long long time . kramnik qualified for the candidates and hence played there , vishy will not . no one deserves anything in life , you've to work to achieve it , please your comment seems like it was made my some 10 year old . plus kramnik in 2018 was 2800 , he was one of the strongest players in the world at the time , he was no. 3 in the world , vishy is currently no. 10 in the world
Grand prix runner up and winner, Swiss tournament runner up and winner, world cup runner up and winner, world championship runner up and one is directly nominated by fide, it was last time but for world championship 2024 it may differ
Bishop pair is overrated in my opinion. Yes in certain conditions, it does wreck havoc, but so do two knights, or even a single knight. Sometimes forks 3 or more major pieces, something that the bishop can never achieve. Ofcourse bishop has the advantage of "pin" which knight doesn't.
Its very very hard thing to do... I don't think ding will lose the title he isn't under pressure like the one who will play him so he is a machine and also play comfortablely .. But who knows everything can happened..
First he has to qualify for the candidates. Then he has to win the most grueling chess tournament, the candidates. Vishy does not have the stamina anymore to do those things anymore.
@@lordanubysh pragg is popular for a long long time, but gukesh has just had kind of an puberty glowup lmao he is blazing through the ranks and going head to head with super GMs, Pragg has dropped down a bit
sagar shah is a peice of beauty legit , the commentary is a saving grace for all amateurs like me watching it , n after listening to sagar's analysis on why the gm did or did not play a certain move , its like tf , damnn
@@miaomeow69 I have been noticing a slow decline in Magnus's play over the past 2 years or so. He is a workhorse player who wins/loses almost entirely by how much he has memorized, and his perfect recall is starting to fade. He has been compensating by exploring offbeat lines, but as opponents learn them too his ability to win at the highest level is going away. Magnus in 5-6 years may not even be a top 10 in the world player. Compare that to Anand though. The man is still an absolute force, and if he became World Champion again nobody would even blink.
Everytime I hear Sagar bhaiya say Ganges, i am sad. I mean you are Indian you can say Ganga Sir. If someone from West doesn't know how to say something that doesn't mean you change your own history/pronounciation.
Stop Adding "He's 53" on the videos. That has no consequence whatsoever.. if he is playing he is playing by choice. Dont take away from the respect he deserves. Also improve on your commentry if possible.
Sagar's commentary helps understand the moves better...else the seemingly obvious moves that the GMs dont play is beyond someone noob like me to understand :)
Why always the age ffs.... Someone of Vishy's caliber is expected to do this thats why he is playing on the first place.... Plz stop with this age thing even Ms Dhoni is playing the ipl ffs...
