I havent really found a use for my Noctis with salvage drones being so efficient. Same Ishtar as I was talking about in your last video just carries a stack of 5 and a mobile tractor unit in its hold. Drop the unit while fighting, once you are done most of the time everything has been pulled to your unit. 5 minutes later your drones eat everything and you can move to the next room. Salvage drones are pretty freakin amazing.
i wouldnt advise that for highsec though ,the problem ,is that that shooting a MTU isnt a criminal act in concords eyes , gives you only a suspect timer ,thats why MTUs are magnets for troublemaker arround the main lvl4 agent hubs
to the people that say the noctis is pointless with the combination of the rigs and bonuses you actually get an increased chance of getting selvage from a given wreck when only using the selvage drones the drop % is base rate with no bonuses a more efficient method of doing this would be to run the site in a combat ship carrying multiple MTU dropping one in each room and saving the location of the MTU and returning to the book marks once the mission is handed this will allow you to fit 8 selvage 1 to the noctis and increase efficiency
Thats not true. The Ship gives you a bonus for salvager duration. Not for any kind of chance to get more/better salvage. Run sites, drop MTU´s and return one hour later to pick it all up in a salvaging destroyer with tech 2 salvaging rigs. It needs only small rigs so you save around 30 million ISK per rig. The Noctis needs medium rigs and also cost around 45 millionen ISK compared to.. what? One million for a destroyer? Also the destroyer is faster in warp if somebody want to kill you. And when you get killed you only lose around 30 mil instead of 150 million. How long you have to salvage before getting the ROI on the Noctis and actually start to earn money? Yes you have to make multiple runs or only take the good loot cause the destroyers cargo is filled to fast, who cares? Use 8 Salvager II and you run out of cap before you even have salvaged every wreck. Its that fast. No tractor beam, no waiting time. Also use F1 to F8 and you can hold ctrl and LMB to lock up a lot of targets when you frame them.
To help speed it up, it buddies could be dropping mtus to being all the wrecks in while they run the site. That is if they dont mind picking them up after and giving u whatever loot they pick up.
I've been out of Eve about 5 years, I used to run L4's with Tengu, then use Noctis to salvage, used that to make Rigs etc in manufacturing. Reactivating my account, did a L3 in passive tanked Drake, been a while but can,t use my high end ships with Alpha account, probably upgrade to Omega soon.
an un attended mtu is a tasty easy kill some take the occasional loss as the cost for a few extra minute's speed but yes on site allowing it to empty wrecks will save time
they drop them in the second mission. they dropped one and when the room was clear picked it up and put it in the next. thats why the wrecks where so close together towards the end. They also left the contents of the MTU to keep the numbers right :)
some people would rather not get involved with the politics of null and the risks of Low that said i mostly feel Low is safer than high atlease you know the guy in local is going to try and kill you rather than not knowing the gankers
