I think this dealer was pushing the time for delay to screw the buyer over. How does anyone, especially a dealer, confuse ½ a decade when writing a check, twice? Beware of this place.

wow. she missed out on getting all her money. does she even realize had she taken it to a states inspection site, she could've gotten a written notice to take back to dealer and got all her money back??? what stopped her from doing that? inexperience? or communication issue? something. she pretty much blew it... some states don't have inspection so once u sign the lemon problems are urs. but in her case she had a few days to handle it and get her cash back. smh

So we just going to excuse the parts where they made her keep coming back then gave her the wrong check and she had to go back theses dealers get away wit to much smh

I'm a dealer in Missouri. In this state if you take your car to a shop and they do a 100 point inspection and find the cooling system or the transmission needs to be flushed that is on you. BUT, the car must pass the state safety inspection or the dealer (me) must do any repairs to make it pass. That is why we generally take the cars in ahead of time to get them safety inspected. Shops are far more likely to recommend services to a customer who just bought a car figuring they will go ahead and get them done not knowing the actual condition. The defendant did a lot for the plaintiff and it is unfortunate that the plaintiff was so inexperienced. I hope she does better in her future dealings. As far as the defendant writing the wrong date on the check I thought possibly she had just written her 8 really sloppy and it looked like a 3 but I guess she really did write in a 3. That is really odd. Some people are saying intentional scam but maybe she has a medical reason. My mom had a mild stroke and writes the wrong date all the time. Maybe that defendant should go to a doctor? Just sayin'.

Always buyer beware when buying any car cause it’s crazy when they just mess up a few days later or months later, which is very possible some cars are just junk and places are just wanting to get rid of or people just trying to get rid of just beware…

The defendants were more than accommodating with a 5 year warranty. The plaintiff was looking for a way out because she already saw another vehicle she wanted. They paid her back minus what the contract said she would be out. If she really believed it was a bad car she should've got the failed inspection paper and got all of it back. The plaintiff is the one who seems to be trying to get over.

The plaintiff wasn't going to win this case regardless on if she signed the contract or not.

Read the contract before signing.

This was a very fair ruling. The plaintiff signed a contract and that is just the way it goes.
