The MV is a lot of fun - it’s a slasher short story. But do yourself a favor and go back and listen to the song. The vocals, the instrumentation, and the arrangement are really engaging. Lyrically, it’s a straight forward pop song with a “falling in love is a children’s game” motif. The visuals, obviously, have more of a literal hunter(s)/prey presentation. But even musically, the song -especially the hook - is almost un-melodic: it’s very staccato and verges on discordant. And that’s why I’m such a fan. I love their velvet side (Psycho, Automatic, Perfect 10, Bad Boy, Beg For Me, etc…). But I love their red side (the more pop side), too, because there’s always something askew to grab my attention.

Red Velvet has a number of music videos that are certainly a bit out there and not what you would expect. Bibi also did an amazing cover of Peek-A-Boo for the show The Fan. Speaking of which, didn't you say you wanted to check out "Is This Bad B Number"?

Always remember, Red Velvet lyrics do not always match up to the video. Most of the time there is two separate meanings. The quick meaning for the video is, they are part of a dead coven, that needs to resurrect. They do this by killing delivery boys to take their life essences.

The one girl, who is helping him to escape is not in love with him. It's just a part of their game and ritual. One girl always gives a hope to their victim pizza guy, but kills him in the end. When pizza guy is running away with that one girl, we can see that the girl holding the hand of pizza guy is changing during their running. This means that they did that trick many times. They don't just kill those pizza guys, but hunt and eat them, because we can see in the MV that they put gems on pizza instead of eating it. So they order pizza to hunt and eat pizza guys. And they do this ritual with pizza guys only on a full moon.

Dude, the lyrics and the visuals don't always have something to do with one another. 😄 In this video, they're a death cult or coven that uses victims as they're source of life and youth, but they don't just kill them... they like to play with their food. The one delivery guy is a representation of the many who've come before him and the girls routine of taking turns luring them in, toying with them, letting them think one of the girls is helping them to escape but just as he thinks he's in the clear, is betrayed... ending with yet another trophy in their case. Red Velvet are masters of having songs that are a fun light hearted bop... while the visuals have a sinister undertone or, as in Peek-A-Boo, are flat out homicidal.

DG i think than they capture multiple pizza delivery man . and each of the girls as probably fall in love with some of them . but the other girls constantly kill the guy . when one of the girls try to save one of the pizza boy . at the end we can see than many guy are missing .so i think than they're all psycho and all jaleous if one of the girls fall in love they try to kill her . we see that in the MV they also try to kill each other .

So happy you finally reacted to this one. One of my favorite songs and music videos. Such a crazy concept. I love the foreshadowing where they are walking thru the house and you catch a glimpse of some glass cases with polo shirts in them. Former pizza boys that didn't make it out, hehe. In the end, his shirt was added to the collection.
