Thank you for this fantastic tribute video. Richard Simmons was such a huge icon as a 90s kid. Saw him guesting on so many shows and getting people to exercise.

I would like to also mention James B Sikking ( Doogie Howser, Hill Street Blues, Star Trek III , etc ) who is also a huge 80’s star passed last week as well ..How can anyone forget his role as the Captain of the Execelsor … His infamous line “ Kirk…if you do this…You will never sit in a captain’s chair again “ that IMO will always be a part of Star Trek lore 😞

We lost so many in such a short time and all of them touched history in different ways. Richard Simmons helped me lose weight back before my wedding in the 90's and I still use his Sweatin work out now. RIP everyone. You will be missed. 😢

I used to wake up to Richard Simmons on the TV in the middle of the night, just before they would sign off with the National Anthem.

Cancer is not a battle. You don't win or lose and you can't influence the outcome by fighting harder because it's not a battle. More information about why this sort of language is harmful can be found on every cancer website on the entire internet. There's not really an excuse for not knowing this already.

Respectfully, I have to disagree. As a child of the 80's and a teenager of the 90's she certainly is an icon to a generation of woman who grew up watching her. She was never afraid to speak her mind and that, for many of us of that time, was liberating; who knew we didn't have to be "nice" and take what we were given, and to keep our mouths shut about anything we didn't like. She was tarred and feathered as being a "b!tch" and difficult to work with, but all she ever did was stand up for herself, and she showed young women that they could too. She went on to use her platform to raise awareness about breast cancer, and to help people come to terms with, and work through pretty harsh medical treatments and dealing with what comes after treatments, both good and bad. She most certainly is an icon to 99% of women who grew up with her. I'm actually really sorry you can't see what an icon she is and what a loss her passing is for at least two generations of women that looked up to her.
