WHAT A WEEK! | Imp And Skizz Podcast (Ep29) 

It's so funny to me how by the time the video comes out I've usually already finished listening to the podcast on spotify. I guess this qualifies me to scream "FIRST COMMENT!!!" like a 12 year old but actually have something to say? I just wanna thank you two for reminding us that our comments actually get seen. That means so much to me and it's the only reason I was inspired to leave comments in the first place. I had fun listening to you two chill and talk about your week, but also I can't wait to hear you going a little more in-depth on individual themes. Honestly these are some of my favorite kind of podcasts. Just being a fly on the wall listening in a good friends chatting. Like even when a hermit is streaming and another hermit pops by and yall start chatting about not minecraft, it feels like you've been let into the friend group. It's comforting in a way.

Even when you two just hang out and talk about your week, I still am impressed about how insightful and inspiring this podcast is. I usually can't pay attention to people just talking, I usually tune out. But you two manage to keep me listening.

About the Gluestick thing: My wife and I watch the replays of streams to wind down at night. We thought it was just part of the plan, it was mentioned so many times before not to touch him and you threatening him that it seemed to be a great ending to the series to wrap it all up. Then Skizz attacking was a great reaction to it, then the wither made it really clear this was the end not just a moment of "I'm finally fed up enough to kill off this horse." So from a casual viewer, after the fact, the frustration didn't bleed through as much as you both noticed as good friends.

Just wanted you guys to know you are the only content I watch that I don’t skip the commercials because you get paid better when we don’t. Great podcast guys.

This was awesome! I love that you guys say that you're 97% real, and then to actually see it is super refreshing. Most content creators are at least 97% fake or an internet presona, which is one of the many things that make you two special. Please don't ever stop being real. I really enjoy everything you guys do!

Gosh, I canNOT tell you guys how much this podcast just puts a smile on my face and helps me just…breathe easier for the weekend. This is probably my favorite one to date!! 😁

I don't listen/watch a lot of podcasts, and this one is by far the best! I really enjoy that you're not sticking to a single topic but are touching on a range of things. It keeps it fresh and entertaining and I love that you guys put importance on showing that you're human just like the rest of us. Getting a glimpse behind the curtain makes it feel real and builds a connection that you are just two friends doing what you love. I know it makes me smile when I'm with my best friend and we have the most random talks and seeing you two poke and bug each other just really FEELS like 2 best friends giving each other a hard time. It's amazing to see! Also, good to know that at least one of you is reading all the comments lol ;) :P

I find it fun coming back to this after more recent podcasts like at 1:00:30 when Skizz refers to the knocking over the bottle incident that (As far as I'm aware) is first explained in Ep. 78

Thanks for reminding us that behind the cameras you two are still people like us and experience the same things and feelings as we do. Looking back to the SBE finale stream I was a little bit upset with what happened to Gluestick, but you saying you where having a bad day and remembering all the things that happened in that stream I was like… yeah… yeah, I get that. Nevertheless the finale was still a success. I really enjoyed this podcast episode, I love listening to your stories and the behind the scenes stuff, keep it up! This is what I look forward to every Friday! ❤

This was a really cool podcast, with you guys talking about this and that, and i actually never knew about the naked and scared series, so i'm looking forward to watching it!

Hello! This was my first podcast, I've watched skyblock and want to watch Naked and Scared (I haven't had time, yet...). I've had a headache all day, so thought listening while I laid in a dark room would be a nice compromise. It was, and now I have many more podcasts to watch/listen to. I know you have content to make and act, but it is nice to see/hear about those times where the human shows through. It's a reminder it's ok to be human, ok to have a bad day, no matter who you are.

OK guys I just finished binge watching every single video. Incredible!! Couple weeks ago I was watching imps livestream on RU-vid and you mentioned your podcast. I thought "oh cool I'll have to check it out. The source of the 'scompus'!" LOL. And with my line of work I always listen to podcasts and so I went to town. It was an incredible journey. Thank you. And i love how while I'm listening I kinda forget you guys are minecrafters first. Like when scizz mentioned pearl and him working together, I forgot he plays minecraft and was confused how he new her lol. And in general you guys have a knack for this podcast formula and it's awesome.

I find it hilarious that my habit of leaving entire essays is appreciated in this space, considering how much it's not in day-to-day life and academia. Finally, I can use my skill to create hundred-word monstrosities for the good of the world! Huzzah! Anyways, really enjoyed this episode! I always find it interesting to learn more about the people behind the personas just to see how much bleeds over and how much changes. We're all human after all and it's good to be reminded that even the people you look up to and admire are human too! I gotta say though I find the behind-the-scenes of the S.B.E 2.0 ending to be especially interesting. I was so sure that at least the fact that the island was gonna be destroyed was part of the plan from the start, but I was wrong! And I have to give kudos to that because I found the ending to be so fitting and hype from a storytelling perspective. Impulse never plays an active antagonistic role so seeing him go just a little bit nutters was hype and also weirdly cathartic. That was the very reason I thought it was planned because that Gluestick-killing Wither-wrangling Impulse is an Impulse we (the viewers) almost never see in videos, so to call it unexpected is an understatement and to learn it wasn't as much of an act as I thought is a MAJOR understatement! And I gotta give the credit to Skizz too, even though he thinks he went too far I personally found his reaction to be really compelling and interesting. It created conflict, y'know? And conflict is the core of any story, and it was with a story you could wrap up S.B.E 2.0 in a satisfying way instead of leaving it hanging. But to be fair, I am a writer and an actor (not professional mind you, I do both as hobbies. I mean I have done theatre for 11 years so it probably counts for something?) so my perspective is probably different from your average viewer. But hey, I thought it was interesting, and you guys like the longer comments so ha! I get to spill my thoughts and you get more paragraphs in the comments! Win-win!

I love that you two just got to talk about your week and enjoy yourself in each others company. I can confirm that "saved by the bell" came from the whole graveyard thing. Love the vibes and laughs. Hope you're enjoying yourself in Florida skizz.

Another great podcast! Love even just the hanging out vibe. The cameras look great this week. It was the first thing my wife and I said when it started. The wide shot is a little darker and more red, maybe just raising the white balance might fix it. The fill lighting was much better as well on both sides, which helped. Keep up the great work!

Impulse killing Skizzs Horse reminds me of something between me and my friend there was one time I was just having a really bad day so I got onto Minecraft to destress like usual and was working on a project away from my base and my friend was on and decided to mess with me by going to my base and did something to make my Cat teleport to me and a little after he did a Creeper snuck up on me and blew up and it killed the Cat and after bottling stuff up I just kind of snapped and went to his base and killed all his Wolves and Cats and think his Panda too, and then he got upset because he didn't know making my Cat teleport would get it killed and after that I was just like "I apologize I didn't mean to get so mad over a virtual Cat that wasn't even your fault it's just been a horrible day" and then I felt bad so I got some bones and spent some time fishing and also grabbing name tags so he could replace his Pets. I rarely get mad I am usually pretty chill and just bury everything it was just that day had been one bad thing after another and I just wasn't thinking straight.

At 51:43 I lost internet connection so I just heard "GET IN THE-" and I thought "boat" 😂

Always entertaining and relatable on a basic human level. I see parts of myself in every episode. Good, bad, or somewhere in between. With all the BS I the world, it’s great to have an hour each week of people just being their genuine selves. It honestly keeps my from giving up on people.

This was so refreshing to watch, it really helps me find the silver linings I my everyday life.

What? Y’all are human? We don’t expect you to be perfect and on point ALL of the time. The fact you recognize your faults shows more class and maturity than some of the younger creators and that’s your appeal and why you’re so successful…both of you! I love this podcast so much! The arrival of a new episode is the only for a Friday to be true and complete. Your timing on each topic has been uncanny, whether it was about goals, stories, or asking for help it always applies. When the notification came up "what a week" my reaction was basically "Yes, yes it has been"

I don't pay attention to sports, but hearing about the squares makes me want to buy some squares now that you have explained what it is. It would be great if you guys could remind viewers/listeners next year and we could be included (if that is an option). It is great that you keep talking about how much you read the comments, it makes us feel important to you. We as viewers see you as someone we would never have a chance to get to know. Although, I was discussing Skizz with a friend in minecraft bingo on Wednesday, and we both think he is so down to earth, that we might be able to invite him to coffee and he would actually show up. Maybe. We love you to Impusle, but your schedule is just impossible to pencil in a coffee moment for strangers, in my opinion. I think what makes me think Skizz would be more open goes back to the car wreck, he said something along the lines of 'it was an opportunity to make a new friend'.

Another great episode guys! Even though I'm not a football person I still enjoyed listening you guys talk about it. On the N&S series, I try and watch both the raw recordings and the short episodes as they come out. Anything I can do to get more really. Skyblock's ending, I think it worked out ok. Sometimes you just gotta let it rip, that's life. You guys are great together, it really shows how strong of a friendship you two have. Skizz, that "moment" doesn't have to happen, and I sincerely hope that it never does for you and Impy. But, if it does happen at some point, I hope you two are able to get through it without losing what you have together. Take care guys. o/ Also for Skizz....... FINALLY!!! I have said it before, I love how real this podcast is. There are some podcasts that are ”real”, but it seems like everything is scripted. Y’all have a theme but to can totally recognize your stream of thoughts.

Thanks for the behind the scenes look at irl and the videos and emotions. Honestly I could listen to you guys chat all day. I appreciate hearing your points of views on things and what's going on in your lives. It's a good reminder that we're all human and all struggle with things. I would say don't worry about being such a perfectionist. These podcasts have all been great and I haven't noticed anything glaring bad about the video or audio. I am an aspiring Minecraft RU-vidr, and you guys are a huge inspiration. I see qualities (good and bad) that I have in both of you, and it really reminds me that I can do this. Seeing you guys remind us that you are people over and over is helping me overcome my fear of what people think of me and is helping learn to be myself no matter what. I plan on starting a series playing VintageBeef’s Ablockalypse, and have been dreading it, but this podcast specifically reminded me that I can do it in spite of everything I have going on. Thank you. Ps: as a chaos gremlin, I thoroughly enjoyed the final episode of skyblock. I have also taken to randomly yelling at my two kids (age 2 and 3 months) “WAX YOUR BACK TO SKYBLOCK!!”

With the glue-stick thing, i think you made the right choice for the ending which pooka did. Most of us viewers are like skizz that we ‘forget’ about it when its over. However theres always that small percent who take things seriously and would have held a grudge. Keep doing what your doing with everything your both working on, i for one will always watch when i can.

The video quality looked great! The set is looking good too. I noticed your color lights were gone, the black box behind impulse helped with balance, but the orange pillow with the black one really pulls it together. I thought the couch was a lot longer but being able to see the orange pillow from both shots really makes it seem cozy

Imp definitely has good luck. Some people just have good luck. Some people also have bad luck but I think a lot of people THINK they have bad luck but actually have pretty average luck.

The lighting for both the ‘face cams’ looks great 👍🏻 Did Skizz hit the play button for the mic? That could explain the blue light issue 😂

When you had changed to the camera showing both of you I had noticed the yellow and blue lights weren't there anymore. And then a few minutes later you mentioned them and why they aren't there! 😄 Also, I agree the end of the Skyblock episode pulled it together for a nice ending. After that the only reason for me to be sad was that it was over! 🙃 I was genuinely shocked when Impulse killed Gluestick though, one of the times I have audibly reacted while watching a video on my own! 😂 I don't remember exactly what I said, but I definitely gasped! Killing someone's Minecraft pet feels like a crime! The best part though was Skizz looking for him and asking Where's Gluestick? And Impulse simply saying: "He dead." Love the series! o7 to your island, now owned by the Wither!

I can totally relate to having to be professional and not always being able to keep life out if it. I work with disability children in a school and 99% of the time I keep life at home but there is occasionally that 1% where they just push your buttons too far and it’s not their fault, they don’t understand but it happens and I get grumpy with them. I always end up sitting on the floor giving them a cuddle and playing with them as a way of making up for the grumpiness. It’s unrealistic to think that you all are happy 24-7. Life happens ..don’t beat yourself up .. own it and move on. Love you guys. Stay well! Stay happy! Live love laugh! See you next week 😊

You both said you weren’t sure if you would think we would want to hear about your personal lives and the behind the scenes. And I just wanted to say I love to hear all of it, I find it so interesting. The way I see it is with this example, if you watched the Lord of the Rings movies and you loved them so much and can’t get enough of them, then you would probably go and watch all the extra features and movie commentary as well, and the BTS feels like a journey you and the film makers go on together to see how it came to be. And for me, not only do I like to see the Minecraft content itself, but I also like to see how it was you came to the decisions you made to get there, and the thought that went into it. I think that’s why I like the N&S series so much as well. But I love to hear the creative process you guys go through to make the content we enjoy. Even hearing about why Impulse was a bit upset/frustrated that day and explaining the work around you guys did to make sure the content wasn’t seen so negatively. I love to hear about that! Also as an idea for a future podcast, maybe you both could go through some past comments that you’ve read that you liked and elaborate on them with some discussion, I think that could fill an hour haha.

Just want to point out that I initially listen to these on google podcasts (makes my commute to and from work just fly by) but because I love you both and want to give you guys all the support that I possibly can I'll throw the video up at some point and even listen to it again on Audible ♡♡♡ For the record I was at the last skyblock stream and the n&s. I don't ever want to hear either of you be ashamed for "being over the top" because if that's the way you would react naturally, that's what the audience needs! I for one love those moments because they're not something that occurs every stream, it's a bit of added spice

My husband and I stream as a team. We've gamed together for over 25 years and are best buds and he will always be my Player 1. But trying to stream and be fun and happy when we've had a day of conflict as all marriages do is HARD! So I feel ya, some days I think it is better to take that break if needed!

I actually liked the end of skyblock stream replay and without that context of the pool guy delay and then Imp losing his stuff again, when he started kicking off, i knew it was done. I just liked seeing a raw Imp as i know he isn't one to show emotion and that is respected but to see this unfold as it did made it somewhat more dramatic and yes great content. Also, feel bad for Skizz and the whole thing about going to see his daughter play, only for it to be cancelled. Was their any compensation for cancelling the matches? I can imagine this affecting a lot of families and not everyone can afford that. Imagine that kid has a go fund me page so they can get the kit etc and then they use the fund to go see their kid and this happens?

I feel like you are trapped by the microphones. Will the audio work if you move the mic's out of the picture? Move them up and turn them "upside down"? Not sure why but it bothers me that you are "trapped". Love the podcast.

I don't want you to take this the wrong way. But it sounds like you could use a vacation Impulse. Headaches and increased irritability are clear cut signs of burnout. You might wanna simmer down if you are also having gastrointestinal issues. Because that's the trifecta. PLEASE be careful with yourself. You only have 1 brain, and if it is firing on all pistons 24/7 it's gonna burn out. It's okay to take a couple of weeks of vacation. But multiple months or even a year off... we would all really miss you. So please please please take care of yourself!

I never got why there's Quarters in American Football, they are elite athletes who do next to nothing so why do they need a break after 15mins? I'm guessing it's purely for ads. My perception of A. Football after watching probably 15-20ish games, they line up, smash into each other, the QB throws to a forward runner (technical term lol), he gets tackled and everything moves up a few yards etc etc, then a whole new team comes out to defend. There's SOOO many stoppages. The average NFL game has 12mins of gameplay and apparently they only play 17 games a season? English Premier League (EPL) top teams can play over 60 games in a season, i could go on but this is turning into a rant now!
