My wife have been together for just over 6 years. The age gap is 48 years. We live in Thailand. She is govt.worker. The age gap is not a big hurdle. We are very happy. Goodluck to all.

My wife is a Colombian 20 years younger than me, we live in Australia and have been married 5 years. Initially the age gap did worry me, but now I feel much younger as I am far more active with her. When I look at my friends my age they all look and act so old.

The important thing is that you are both adults and make the decisions that are right for you. Adults don't need to worry about age difference as long as they get along well together. I'm 42 and dating a 29 year old Filipina.

Age is not the primary issue It's education And lifestyle . It shows Qiang is well educated and refined in manners and she proudly represent the avg. Malaysian ladies. Yess we are classy, pretty and have the brains to boot. Dan sure hit the jackpot!!

what a wonderful way to talk about something that is really becoming more and more the norm. my wife and i can totally relate as im 56 and she is 28 we've been together 7 years. we love to travel and enjoy eating food from all over the world. as my wife tells me " food is life ". in the big scheme of things we are only here on earth a very short time and should live it to the fullest.

I also find it interesting how many posts I see on social media about men claiming they are ugly and want to find a beautiful woman. We don't see these posts from ugly women looking for handsome men, why is that we don't see that? From what I have observed most people gravitate to their own level whether it be education, income or level of attractiveness. I have turned down wealthy men in the past, ultimately it would be an unequal relationship but that would manifest negatively. My husband and I are on the same level. Much more honest to live that way. BTW, I am older than my husband, so no issues on age differences.

I asked my amour when his birthday was when we first started dating and his response “ There is no age in love “ I am 23 years his senior chronologically speaking but he’s years older than I am in many ways. Life is too short to be concerned with age unless of course you want to have children. You are obviously well suited if you can travel together for this long. Evolved souls live and let live..

Another great video guys! I'm in a 39-year age gap relationship and, after 3 marriages, this is the best partnership I have ever had, After 4 years, there is as much love and respect as there was at the start. You see the problem with an age-gap is usually not between the couple but with other people. My GF often gets asked "Doesn't he get tired easily and have a job keeping up with you?" but if I was missing a leg or confined to a wheel chair they would never ask this kind of question. So I think, if other people have a problem with our age difference it's pretty likely coming from either jealousy or insecurity. The husband maybe sees how different his life could be and his wife is worrying that he might be tempted to try out a "vagabond" lifestyle.

In the u.s you can't care what family or friends think they can take a hike if they don't like it I found they learn to accept her in time .im in a 34 yr age gap 33 -67 . I think what unfair if she has no children yet want one most of them do even if it means adoption

My wife and I met when she was 25 and I was 63. We have been married for 17 years and have two children who are now 18 and 16. I am now 82 years old she is 43. We have never had any arguments or cross words. I do my best to never utter the word NO to her. I want more for her that I want for myself. She reciprocates. We believe that we are together because God brought us together thru the internet and that we are truly Soul-Mates.. I have said many times that if a World Class beautiful woman came to me with several million dollars in her hands and said "If you come with me I, and this money is yours" I would tell her to go away because I could never replace my wife at any price or possible benefit. My advice is for anyone considering an age difference relationship to give it every possible chance for success as the age difference is only mathematical. It's what is in the hearts of the two people.

Age difference is okay when you are still active and healthy, I'm in a relationship with someone who is 12 years younger than me, but I do think how is it going to be when I'm 10 years older that will make me 77 he will be 65, that when the cracks will show, he will probably still be active and I'll be pushing 80 and who knows what health issues will be there. As much as we like to think that someone will be there for us, we can become a burden that definitely effects their lives dramatically. Enjoy it while you can, as long as it doesn't take away from the younger partners life.

Even if your partner is the same age as you, doesn't gurantee you will make old age together. Death and divorce happens at all ages. I say ride a great relationships as long as you can.

I love your story and also believe that age is just a number. The only important factor in a relationship is personal compatibility (ie: goals, needs, etc.). I was in a 20 year age gap marriage here in the US. Unfortunately, it didn't last. The social influence and lack of acceptance here is huge and was the major contributing factor to the demise of our relationship. It is truly ashame. Much love to you both.

thanks for your candid interview. Having been a widow three times and 78 years old, i participate on dating sites and seem to attract women in their late 30s, sometimes mid 30s. I'm pretty well established financially not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but find that i am less attracted to women in their 50s and up. I have 6 children who live their own lives. Your story is encouraging but leves me nervous still, because of the age difference. None of the ladies I communicate with seem to have a issue with my age, but we have yet to have face to face meetings. I'm hoping to find a relationship similar to yours, obviously not a mirror image of yours. As a final point, my financial picture will change to a more positive picture so humanitarian work will be possible for me to engage in. Thanks for letting me ramble on, nice video, makes me more nervous but i will learn whats best for me. Ciao

Please find someone in their 50s who is also established. Plus, she will still be way younger and able to take care of you in your older age while not looking to cash in. I say this with all due respect for your financial situation, your age, and the fact you probably want to leave your estate to your adult children and young grandchildren.

I would be suspicious of the motives of women in their 30's being "attracted" to a man in his late 70's. They are attracted to financial help and security not physically attracted. Just as you aren't attracted to women your own age. You even say you aren't attracted to women 20-25 years younger than yourself!

I am 60 and prefer acquaintances over a full time relationship. I am comfortable with my solitude and prefer to live by myself. I have female friends that I do different things with. Some are good for traveling other for dating while others are for intimacy. I do not believe any relationship lasts and I am always meeting new women so my relationships are always changing. I think one full time girlfriend complicates my life and since we all have faults I never have to accept any. As for a proper age gap, if it is kept limited, there is none too large.

Age differences are not as great a barrier as language and culture but having great age differences can be a problem in the cultivation of personal culture, of oneself and conflicts can arise as time goes on. For example a 20 year old girl and a 50 year old man are not going to have a lot in common over the next 10 years.

I am thinking like Martin on this one. I think the average 30 year ols has lived enough to be interesting as a partner, though I am sure there are many exceptions.

As long as the two people involved are happy with their relationship, it's absurd for anyone else to declare that an age difference is "too much." We all have different preferences and needs, some of which vary over time. Anybody who's even asking whether another couple's age gap is too much is sticking his or her nose into someone else's business. It's an idiotic question to be concerned about.

The part about the other person pushing you towards something you don't agree with is huge. I think that was the most important thing in this video. Once I had a younger woman who wanted me to buy her a new car, new house... etc. I said, no, no, no, and finally she left. I was too blind to see what a blessing her leaving me was at the time.

I agree that you have to have all the shared interests that you talked about. On the question of - is she with me for my money? Of course that is part of it. I am retired and I don’t want her to work which makes me to sole income provider. The myth of romantic love has blinded westerners into thinking money has no place in a relationship. I am just as comfortable with saying that I want companionship and to be taken care of in my old age. Relationships are not just one thing. Love is just part of it.

Thanks for sharing, Martin! In many areas of the world, arranged marriages are still common if not the norm. Marrying someone who is solvent is necessary to help with others in their family who need assistance. My own Grandmother had an arranged marriage to escape a life of certain poverty. Over the years, she supplemented her family's income. So, when one marries into another culture, they need to be clear they may need to be a source of support for additional family but they also have an extended network to rely on in times of sickness and grief as well.

After being with my mate for 10 years, realized that we already had a longer relationship than many same age couples, so it was already a success. In the US people are of the mindset that relationships with large age gaps is not for love but for money, and they label the woman a gold digger. They couldn't be more wrong Asian women are way more mature that their American counter parts. I too met a filipino woman 24 years younger than myself, she's the most wonderful woman I have met in my entire life she's extremely intelligent speaks perfect English, hard working, very loving, caring not to mention beautiful. We have everything in common I feel I'm the luckiest man in the world to be retired in the Philippines I've never been happier in my life. Guys don't let age be a factor in finding true love.

Very gutsy video topic and well presented. I'm in a 12 year age gap relationship where I am the younger man. We are going on 32 years of marriage and I just turned 60. The age difference hasn't really been a factor. Also it helps that my wife (like Qiang) is a former model and looks 10 years younger than her chronological age. The two areas where it impacts us 1) Musical Taste - she is a 60's & 70's music lover, I am more 80s-2000. 2) Travel. She said she cannot wait for me to reach standard retirement age. So I quit my job and we have started to slow travel. My wife has mobility issues, so we are talking really slow travel. But this is great as we are looking for a future home and leaning towards it being outside the US (or at least the Bay Area where I have lived my whole life in the US).

My partner and are similar to your age differences and it's amazing sometimes in regard to acceptance. I'm in small town Iowa and so many know about us and could care less about our relationship! 🙂. Many of my friends say....love is love. Age is just a number. However...it definitely helps when they know that our relationship is not about money or work opportunities, etc. It's about LIVING! 🙂. Great video. Your relationship is indicative of how an age difference in itself can make little or no difference in the pursuit of happiness. I live in California and worked with a Filipina woman who pursued me in a corporate setting and we ended up being together for 4 years on and off. As a musician, my agenda was not aggressive enough for her and she chose another. As fate would have it, I ended up co-writing/producing what I believe to be the best song on her new man’s album. Our age difference was 27 years and we constantly got remarks, glares and stares from other couples, however she was astoundingly beautiful.

My boyfriend and I met online, not through a dating app. It's amazing how people are brought together. I wasn't looking and could've/would've continued alone. Then he showed up. We've been friends for nearly 3 years, in love for nearly 2 and I couldn't imagine life without him at this point. We have a 27 year age gap and our relationship is long distance. I suppose in the eyes of society, specifically western society, we are the triple threat. Gay, age gap, LDR. It bothered me at first but not anymore. We share ample amounts of love and respect for each other. The distance between us is downright painful sometimes but knowing we will soon be together makes it tolerable. My wife got her citizenship after 3 years in America and we also sponsored her parents and younger brother who are also citizens now (can’t say I would necessarily recommend doing that)!

I have dated women in Colombia who are 10 to 20 years younger than me. I am 49 now and really do not like dating women my age but that is a whole different vlog to be made. I am very attuned to spiritual vibes and traveling to places far and wide. Currently I am single. I am going back to Envigad, Colombia which is right next door to Medellin in December and am very open to dating again but in addition to that strong connection I always go for a gal that is at least 10 years younger. Some, are in important aspects getting "younger", better, stronger and more attractive with age. so for them usual "age" thinking with good reasons might be said to be just inadequate and stupid. I am myself a strong example of this after a formidable transformation process since i was 63 till today 75!

At the end of the day people are going to do what they’re going to do but I do believe with significant age differences both parties owe each other a serious heart-to-heart conversation. I also believe it is wise to check in with each other every so often regarding this same conversation. The conversation I believe is around the potentially devastating outcome of huge age gaps in a relationship. Two of the main concepts I think are the fact that for the woman she could spend her relative youth with an older guy only to realize she has made a mistake but at this point it would be significantly more difficult for her to find a new relationship let alone have children etc. For the man he could find himself old and lonely and alone if the woman decides she no longer wants to be with him because life did not pan out the way she had imagined whether it be in the bedroom or in general. I have met women in their mid-20s who are adamant about the fact that they do not want children only to discover a mere two years later they want children very much. In the case where the man is 20 or more years older I think he should look out for a young woman and make sure that she realizes what she’s getting into and how she might be literally nursing him in his old age and that will be the extent of the relationship she has with her partner. In her youth could she possibly be prepared for life as a 40 or 50-year-old woman taking care of an 80-ish man and all that comes with that? Is this fair to either person? Again,I think checking in periodically to make sure everyone is on the same page is a very wise thing to do before too much time slips by and things become awkward and painful. With all that said there is no judgment on anyone here. I do believe adults are perfectly capable of making powerful decisions. Dan and Qiang look great together! Not always like that however. I have seen some old men with young girls in my travels and I often get an unpleasant feeling in my gut. That’s just me and I’m just sharing. I’m also aware that sometimes we tend to feel sorry for the young girl when in fact she is the one most aware of what she’s doing! Lol

my last husband was 35 years older than me, and I did not know it until we got married because he was vain and lied about his age. He was also a sociopath. Horribly jealous, controlling and in the end almost killed me. I thought it was just the way older men loved younger women.. I was very young and stupid. Glad I lived through it, glad he died in prison. I learned my lesson and have been alone the 20 plus years since...

I am now double nickel + a penny now( age 56) just had a birthday in July! My Fiancee2wife Charlie is a cexy young age 40! Before my strokes and heart attacks situation suffered in South Florida in 2017-2018! , I was viewed as much younger than my attained age! Being both prior Navy and then Army, I always prided myself in staying in shape and swam 70 pool laps everyday there in Florida, rain or shine, except the hurricanes and lightning storms! I traveled by myself in a wheelchair to the Philippines, by myself and we got engaged then in 2018! We love each other and I even added her on our 1st published book as a co-author! I think the judgements in age gaps are primarily a western thing. And as some have said, the relationship between two people is just that, between them. The interesting thing & not so surprising thing in reading the comments is that mostly the age gap is between an older man & younger woman. I have a 20+ yr age gap with my boyfriend, and I’m the older one. Of course there will be differences related to age and culture (he’s Cuban) but part of the spice of life is learning & growing with each other. Over time and getting to know him, some of the family & friends who had their reservations have now seen what a genuine and amazing man he is, and that the love between us is real & not based on other things people often judge. 💕

It always seems to be that the man is older an the women and I wonder why ? Like here now with Dan, would he be dating and being with a ok he is 61 so would he be willing to date and be with someone who is 81 or 88................I don't think so, so here now then there is a limit eventhough you guys are not seeing that. Also ok, I can't see Qiang dating someone 80 or even 90 year old man ok, so there is a age limit to what is the proper age different between the partners. Ok, life goes on. I would like to see more of young men dating older and much older women but that's never going to happend so it is what it is.

Yes so true. I have read so often in so many comments that men want younger women with a strong sex drive. They do not say that they are thinking ahead to the future to care for her after he dies. Because most likely she will then be alone. Has her partner provided for her financially until she passes away? For the children's expenses and education? Women are hard wired to want financial security to care for themselves and their children and will go with a stable seeming older man to get that. And younger women who live for the moment without thinking of the future may end up alone after she has given her youth away.

In my previous relationships I was old school no one more than 5 years younger than me. My present relationship has been my best ever and at 66 I'm 15 years older than my partner. I've come to accept that age is just a number and people (both women and men) should be allowed to date who they want so far they are both consenting adults. The only thing I said is that if my partner really loves me I expect to pass on before her and when I do she should find someone else to continue the love journey. You only live once.

I'm 53 and my little lady is 34. While working in the US, I called the computer help desk 15 yrs ago for a password reset which directed the call to India. We started "small type" about US culture versus India and got to be friends through typing for a few weeks. Then she suddenly left her company and communication stopped. 12 yrs later during an occasional visit to Facebook I was presented with a bunch of profiles which read "you might know these people". With no profile pic, I recognized her name and contacted her. We got close over the next several years through video calls and I finally traveled to India a month ago where we met for the first time. It was an incredible way to experience our first "real time" together in her amazing and diverse country with her taking control of the trains, busses, flights, tuk-tuks, homestays, food, etc. It was as if we had been physically together from the beginning. I hated to come home.

Great vid and you both are mature and responsible people, clearly not with each other for superficial reasons. This is a beautiful lady that most any man would cherish, but it's clear that is certainly not the reason you are together. You have important things in common and are enjoying a full life together. It's not an "arrangement" like sometimes is the case. For some people, age is indeed a problem because it can be hard to relate if in different stages of life. But no one should judge others and if it feels right, age shouldn't matter.

AT A RESORT were me and my wife were staying ,we realized a 79 year old woman was having a relationship with a man in his early 30,s..we had known 1 of the hotel managers for a few years ... more of a ..wonder i commented why this 79 year old was with the 30 some year Man .The manager in a quiet voice replied ,They are both human ,have human needs and are both still alive ..Age gap between consenting adults ,,not on my radar at all..

31 years difference, Cambodian lady, but we've been apart for 10 months. I will see her January of 2024; I sincerely hope the relationship is successful for our long term. I feel that she is the special one that I was seeking; I will know next year. I would like to be more resolute, but previous disappointments keep me grounded, yet hopeful.

Been to the Philippines a few times. Had 2 major relationships where it did not workout and they married pinoys. Met another pinay in my last trip 3 years ago. we have been chatting now and working through differences. would have bee over there with her 2 years ago but the bug stopped travel to Philippines. Planning on going in middle of next year if open. I am in my late 60s and she is 25. We have same interest that we follow and chat about. She is very supportive. That is very important.
