What are Aromatic fragrances?
Aromatic fragrances are typically fragrances that combine lavender, cumin, rosemary, sage, basil, thyme, and other intense concentrated grassy, herbal, spicy fragrance styles. Aromatic notes typically are combined with citruses, other spicy notes, and woody notes to form a finished fragrance.
Aromatic notes could include these: thyme, rosemary, tarragon, mint, lavender, oregano, saffron, cardamom, cumin, coriander, sage and more.

So I've been in this community for about 3 years,collecting my own scents and collecting everything from Creed's to Zara's but I have to say the one that started it all, that brings me great pleasure to wear and always a flood of great memories is absolutely Drakkar Noir which I believe is an aromatic fougere. It was what I wore in the 90's and what I picked up one day many years later when I decided I needed something to wear at my new job. And from that new bottle of Drakkar I was hooked on finding that ultimate scent. Fast forward to today and I'm very much enjoying Tom Ford's Beau de Jour which reminds me a bit of my old faithful Drakkar. Thanks for this

I love The Soft Lawn; it is my favorite from Imaginary Authors. It starts off on my skin by smelling like dill but this lasts only for 10 minutes. After that, it settles into a thoroughly delightful romp through a tall, grass field. Love it. (And I love dill anyhow.)

I started wearing the Green Water in the 70s when it was in a plastic(y) rubber outer green covering on the bottle..also the bottle shape has changed from then to now. Also..try the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca...its the mint/citrus blend that is so super cooling and refreshing...you need to refresh after a while but so worth picking up...Thanks, Bob

Lauro is definitely the love of mine :x I adore the scent, I think it also smells very expensive as well. I have sur le toit but I am not too much into it, I only spray it on when Im dull and drained, it has that energetic vibe.

I thank you for every video. My neighbor wears YSL Y and it smells very good. I looked the fragrance up on fragrantica and aromatic was the first note. I thought my Xerjoff Naxos would be louder.

Great vid as always. Sebastian what is that smell can you explain please in for example Hacivat and Elisium that smells very bitter and I cannot stand it turns me off and the worst it in both of them this note last for ever. Is that a musk or what is it i am so 🤷🏻‍♂️. Thanks in advance

Sebastian, don't be fooled by the bottle. If you haven't, you must get your nose on Juicy Couture Majestic Woods from their Royal line. Praline, Tonka Bean, Amber, Ambroxan, Oud, Guaiac Woods. It smells niche, totally unisex, and is extremely addictive. It's very long lasting, great projection, probably because it has an oiliness to the perfume. It is one that gets better and better as the day progresses. Others have described it as a more digestible version of Lancome Oud Bouquet. My Oud Bouquet (blind buy) arrives tomorrow, so I will most definitely wear one on each wrist for a good comparison. I have over 100 bottles of designer and niche perfumes, and this is my husband's favorite perfume I wear by a landslide. I can send you a decant if you'd like. I think you'd really enjoy it. *Edit- Oud Bouquet arrived and it smells exactly like Majestic Woods, but minus the jammy rose. I can't decide which I like more, but JC Majestic Woods is definitely more unisex, while Lancome is more fem. Considering Majestic Woods is only $40 on fragrancenet, I'd go with that hands down.

I got the most beautiful Oriental Vanilla Aromatic filled with sage, this weekend at Scent Bar! It’s so gorgeous from a wonderful perfumer and it’s not that expensive! Divine Vanille from Essential Parfums ❤️❤️🌹 I’m from So California! Hi up there in SF 👋🏻👍🏻

Aromatics smell great on some people, but I find they are often too masculine leaning on me. One exception is Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme, which I find quite aromatic because of the prominent cypress note, but still love on me. 🌲

I want to know the difference you know about feminine and masculine fragrances and how you know and scent or sense the differences. I am almost always exploring the spaces the styles and musicality and intelligence of scent and trying to arrive at a place where scent matters. It might be in the aroma or on the plate or palate or the nose. Thank you for making fragrances matter and aromas matter again

I'm not a fan of calone/aquatics myself. I associate them with "sport" frags..imo. I've never tried any of Montale- they have so many. I was going to ask you what your favourite Montales are? I like beast mode/woody/spicy/animalics. I have Jacques Fath Green Water but my bottle is from the 90s.

I still sort of don't understand aromatic fragrances. From my collection I think Amouage Beach Hut Man, Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin; and Strangers Parfumerie Salted Green Mango are considered as aromatic. Maybe Wood, Sage and Sea Salt too.

Another great aromatic aquatic/marine is Sel Marine by Heeley. Fantastic scent but really lousy one of the worst performances ever. Lasts only 2 minutes then one needs to reapply like 5 sprays ever 10 min to smell it. But great scent.
