This is a masterpiece. I recently read a similar book, and it was a masterpiece in its own right. "The Art of Meaningful Relationships in the 21st Century" by Leo Flint

For me, i think it's empathy i find it really hard to put myself in someone's else's shoes. I mostly only focus on myself and on what i need. I'm fully aware of how selfish this might be but i'm trying to work on it

Hi, Kelly. I don't have any tips that I create specifically for non native English speakers. I get lots of international viewers, however, because everything I teach is illustrating essentially American expectations for communication skills.

You mean examples of each skill? That's not a bad idea but I wanted to keep the video as short as possible given that it's a list of 10 and people like to see videos like this move along more quickly. But, my channel is filled with videos on most of these 10 skills that have plenty of examples. It's really what the whole channel is about, examples and tips.

1. Asking questions that show an interest in the other person and 2. listening attentively. Those are the top 2 ways. I have a handful of videos on conversation skills. You can search for them or look on the channel.

I think anybody can improve with practice over time. I've seen shy and quiet people become confident communicators. Some people have a natural talent for it. That's true too. They may pick it up faster than others. Still, anybody can get better than they are now with practice.

That's true for this video. It's a top 10 list, not a training or how-to video. But, my channel has over 200 videos and many of them give tips and examples.
